Amazing tour!!

Gannelin_G, Sep 2025
The experience was excellent, we had a great guide (TJ), he explained everything related to Mostar and Bosnia, and we never get tired of that, we had also a great chofer (Boky?) Excellent chofer and a kind person. In general was an amazing tour, I will have the experience in my mind forever, including great pictures from Mostar and Kravice Falls, and one of the most amazing food I have try during tours around the world..

Alright

David_M, Sep 2025
A full day with lots of coach travel with some time to see Mostar. Guide TJ had personality and opinions but at times a bit too much. Swearing unnecessary and not so professional. Guide in Mostar told the history of the old bridge but evaded the modern tragic and profound history of destruction and rebuilding. But still a good day.

Bit Disapointing

Scott_K, Jun 2019
We ended up going through border stations six times during the day. Neum visit was a cafe off highway not in the town. Hour at waterfalls was ok. NOT enough time in Mostar. Guide in van had no enthusiasm for trip. Then we find out you can book the trip in Dubrovnik for 2/3 the price. Viator you failed us this time.

Better than expected

Kind of a long drive out (about 3 hours each way including border crossing), but with an expert driver and a guide who provided just enough information on the way. Pickup was a bit chaotic at the Pile Gate. Lots of tours picking up at the same time so you need to be aware - the destination is in the windshield and the name of the tour operator is on the door to the van. Mostar was worth the visit (imho) and the tour operator there was very entertaining and forthright about the troubles. It was quite “touristy” but the people were overall friendly.

This was an excellent tour and would definitely recommend. Guide was very informative and friendly. We stopped at Neum for a short break before heading to the border. We stopped at Kravice Waterfalls which were fabulous. Spent about an hour there before heading to Mostar. What a delightful place. The Stari Most Bridge was impressive and divers were waiting for tourists to pay up enough money before jumping into the river below. We also visited a Turkish House which was very interesting. A really great day.

When in Dubrovnik I would highly recommend taking this tour. The pickup and drop off was punctual, we were on a nice Mercedes mini-bus with good AC. The journey was long but comfortable and the time taken to cross the borders is dependent on the volume of traffic. We arrived in Mostar and had a tour of the small town which lasted about 45 minutes and was very informative which lots of interesting facts about the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We then had some spare time to get some food food here is much cheaper than Croatia or explore the town. Mostar is very beautiful with lots of character and the people are very friendly and welcoming. We then travelled to the waterfalls late in the afternoon, it is a long walk down some stairs so not great for people who struggle with mobility, but it is pretty once you get down there. They are nice to swim in and there is a small snack van by the water. Overall my partner and I age 23 and 22 had a great day and would highly recommend this tour!

On the way to Mostar we stopped off at Kravice waterfalls which were stunning and well worth the walk down to the bottom to see the full effect. From there we went to the ancient town of Mostar. You can still see some of the devastation caused by the wars. There is plenty of time to walk through the ancient town and over the Stari Most bridge. I imagine the cobbled stones can be a bit slippery in wet weather so be careful. There are a large number of touristy shops lining the paths which spoil the impact of the town. I enjoyed this 10 hour tour but without the visit to the waterfalls I would say there are better places to visit from Dubrovnik.

The guides were great ,very informative. It would have helped to have been told to wear sturdy shoes for walking around Mostar. The cobbles and the old bridge would be difficult for someone with limited mobility

Highly recommended. Thank you to Igor who was a wonderful guide and went out of his way to make our trip special. He told us about the history of Dubrovnik and Croatia as we travelled to the border. He was very knowledgeable and made our trip memorable. We really enjoyed visiting Mostar and the stop off at Kravice waterfall took our breath away. It is beautiful and does not have any large tourist crowds likes Piltvice Lakes does. We enjoyed a guided tour of Mostar before having around two hours free time to explore. Book this tour and you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This tour was well organized and interesting. If you're interested in taking a quick swim at Kravice falls, you will have time if you head straight down. Many in my group did. Also, euros is the preferred currency when shopping in old town mostar, I didn't know this beforehand.

The tour has been well organised and Mostar is a beautiful and interesting place to visit. The tour led by a local tour guide based in Mostar has been too short and finished in 25 minutes. We travelled all day on the bus from Dubrovnik and a little bit more information and history about Mostar may help.

I'd booked a few trips through viator and contacted each to confirm pick up times, this was the only one to not respond to me. The staff at my hotel called the tour group for me the day before the trip and I was given a pick up time however on the day they were about 10 mins late. Once all pick-ups were made, we travelled along the Croatian coast, admiring the beautiful views. Our tour guide talked about Croatian history throughout the trip and I found this very interesting. Note that there are 3 border controls to go through but these were quite quick. We stopped at Neum for about 15-20mins. Essentially this is just a service station so there's not much to do here. There is a hotel, for anyone that needs a coffee or toilet break, and a supermarket. I picked up some drinks and snacks from the supermarket and, as well as being very cheap, I was pleased that they accepted Croatian Kunas. We then travelled on to Kravice waterfalls and spent about an hour here which, unless you choose to swim in the lakes, was probably too long. Kravice had a couple of cafes but not much else. The lakes and waterfalls were very pretty but very crowded. Note that there is a cost 25 Croatian Kunas to enter the park. Then on to Mostar where sadly our tour seemed a bit disorganised. We were met in the new part of town by a local guide who started giving us a tour but after about 5 minutes we were met by a second guide who then took over from her without any explanation. The local guide led us to the old town and gave us a tour which lasted about 30 minutes but this felt quite rushed. After the guided tour we only had about 90 minutes free time in Mostar, not the 2.5 hours suggested in the tour description. Mostar itself was lovely, the old town was full of bustling markets, beautiful architecture and the famous bridge was stunning. The paths in the old town are all made from cobbles which are very slippy underfoot so take care! The items sold at the markets were very reasonably priced and accept Croatian Kunas - lots of designer knock-offs though. In the new town there is a church with a bell tower which you can go up and admire some stunning views of the city. There is an elevator which will take you almost to the top and for 24 Croatian Kunas I would recommend this. After our free time in Mostar we returned to Dubrovnik, without any stops along the way, and arrived back at our hotel at 7pm. Overall this was an enjoyable day out and I really enjoyed Mostar but I think the tour could do with some improvements.

There is nothing special for the waterfall. Don't pay for it and request more time on the old city. Food in the old city is really delicious, but they need a long time to prepare. That means you have no time to visit the old city! Be wise!

What can I say. Like going back in time. Great ancient looking town. Pity it saw so much destruction. Love to see this town grow as it deserves to. People seemed genuine enough and didn't bother the tourists too much.

Picked up at our hotel. There's a lot of driving 2.5 hours each way, but there are rest stops in between. The waterfalls are beautiful. The walking tour of Mostar is absolutely gorgeous. The arch bridge over the river is a money shot. The streets are full of vendors. The atmosphere was fun. You get a hour to eat lunch, if you want, and then another hour to walk around after lunch. If you been there done that in Dubrovnik, this is a great day trip.

The town of Mostar was very interesting and beautiful. Our local guide was wonderful. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the other guide and the driver. Very limited information was given and if someone was to ask a question it was brushed off and not answered. The driver drove dangerously, continually speeding and passing cars and going over a solid line many times. Another passenger on the trip compared the driving style to a Grand Prix racer. Mostar and the local guide get a 5 star review. The other guide and the driver get 1 star. Therefore, I am giving it three stars as an average.

We really enjoyed this trip to Mostar. This trip is a must do experience and one that you will remember. The pick up was on time and our tour guide on the coach Elena was extremely knowlegeable and passed on lots of information. Equally the guide in Mostar was excellent as well. The only let down was that the itinerary said that we would stop at Medjugorje where apparitions of the Virgin Mary had been witnessed. Unfortunately we only stopped to let off 4 passengers. It is a long day to only spend 2 and a half hours in Mostar, just enough time to see the old town and the famous bridge. A little more time in Mostar to enjoy the experience would be better. However, all in all it was a trip that was worth doing.

A very informative trip led by a historian tour guide. Although a bit saddened by the past history and recent political issue of Mostar, it is still a memorable trip. Could have been a better tour, if we could spend one more old touring the old city.

Wasn't as good as I had hoped. Spent 1 hr in Medugorie, we went and had a beverage. If you are not on a pilgrimage, or want to buy religious artifacts this may not be for you. Another girl read for an hour. We had a tour of Mostar, but most of the focus was on the bridges, had hoped to see inside the Mosque or Turkish House. We had a nice lunch and had only 1/2 hr to wander. We are glad we saw Mostar, but compared to other tours we have had, it didn't measure up.

Jason_F, Sep 2016
The tour guide was brilliant, but due to unforeseen passport issues of another couple on the tour it turned into a rather long day. I would highly recommend this tour but be aware that compared to Dubrovnik, Mostar is quite a rough town to visit and does not feel as modern or as secure. However it is beautiful and I would recommend this tour as our driver and guide were brilliant.

The tour was great. Ivanna (our tour guide, Wed 17th Aug) was very friendly and helpful. When we missed our boat to Sipan, because of traffic, she helped to arrange a private speedboat to take us to the island. Nino collected us. He was very friendly and kind - he came to the rescue!! Thank you!

We appreciated the local insight and perspectives from our Croatian guide on the bus. Jana our local guide in Mostar was a wealth of knowledge, with the time frame you really just scratch the surface. The recommendation for lunch didn't live up to expectations. Worth the trip.

Maria the guide was a wealth of information. The local guide at Mostar was good but he got too touchy when a tourist asked him which was the Christian and the Muslim side. As tourists we were just curious, he got pissed off. Otherwise, Mostar is an amazing city. The trip was organized well.
