Your first stop of the day is at Killegar Stables, which lies just outside the town of Enniskerry. Take in views of the Wicklow area as a guide leads the way on a horseback-riding adventure.
Afterward, there's a stop at Enniskerry Village Square to grab lunch (own expense) during a free-time break.
Next, it’s on to see Wicklow Mountains National Park, Guinness Lake, and Sally Gap before stopping at Glendalough Monastic Settlement and Glendalough Upper Lake.
Once you've finished at Glendalough Upper Lake, relax on the ride back Dublin for drop-off.

I had an amazing experience with this tour operator for a day trip from Dublin to Wicklow, and I would absolutely recommend it!
From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. The schedule was clear, the timing was smooth, and we got to see some truly beautiful places without ever feeling rushed.
A special mention to our guide, Richard — he was fantastic! He explained everything so well, sharing interesting stories, history, and little details that made each stop even more meaningful. You could really tell he was passionate about what he does, and it made the whole experience much more enjoyable.
The van was also a big plus: very clean, modern, and comfortable. It made the journey relaxing, especially with the scenic views along the way.
All the people on the tour were friendly and respectful, which created a really nice atmosphere throughout the day.
Overall, it was such a well-organized and enjoyable experience. If you’re visiting Dublin and want to explore Wicklow in a comfortable and informative way, this tour is definitely worth it.

Horseback riding was fun and the scenery was beautiful! Quick stops at Guinness Lake and in the Wicklow Mountains for photo ops were nice, as well. Glendalough was a nice, short hike around the lower lake, and the Monastic Settlement ruins were interesting to see. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

Riding Mikey the horse was absolutely amazing!! So loved that experience. We had 2 hours of this activity and then onto beautiful sights and the stops were more than enough. Our driver Derrick was a delight and I'm very happy that we utilized the service.

Horse riding - excellent fun, but possibly could have had little more instruction for novices. Make sure you wear jeans! Although appropriate shoes were provided which was greatly appreciated. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Great fun even if chocolate didn't seem to like me.
Drive - The driver made the journey all worth while by sharing his knowledge and humour it made even the M50 enjoyable. Scenery was fantastic so make sure you get a window seat!
Lunch - lots of nice options for lunch in quaint recommended cafe. However there were other places to eat if this wasn't for you.
Lake - Lots of history and plenty of free time to explore if you wish. If you aren't a walker there are plenty of spots at the hotel to sit and enjoy refreshments. Again driver was super helpful in advising on options for our free time here. But it was very busy with tours and possibly due to the heatwave weather.
Personal note the driver kept everyone running to time and well organised. He kept us suitably informed all along the way to each activity, even with 3 separate groups of us doing different activities.

This was fun. Be on time - early, really. They load up fast. First stop was stable for the led horse ride. The shuttle leaves with part of the group that does not choose to ride. After riding you are picked up and brought to small town for quick lunch. There are a couple shop in the area. Back on shuttle to a scenic bridge for quick stop, then the lake which you view from street above then a longer stop at a small town area where you can shop, walk to lakes, visit an old cemetery and church built in 1214. Then load up and drive is about an hour back to Dublin. Guide points out relevant spots along the way and we returned around 5p. I had 2 teens (16&19) with me. They thought it was a little long - mostly the last stop but had fun and got good photos. I wish we brought a small cooler with water and snacks. Bring a portable phone charger so you can take plenty of photos. There is a toilet at stable and the lunch stop and last stop have toilet areas.

Went on this as a day trip from Dublin to get a horseback ride in and get out of the city. Really nice people, felt a bit rushed in and out the door but that was your day timing. Trail ride is a very low key plod along as most are but a pretty countryside. Then time in Glendalough was gorgeous. Recommend for sure

Matt was an amazing guide. Provided historical and fun facts about Ireland. He was interesting and friendly. Provided just the right balance of information and then quiet time to digest and think about the information. Horseback riding part of the tour was beautiful. Went for a leisurely walk the the fields and the woods. The Wicklow mountains are beautiful. Enniskery was was charming town and Poppies provided a delicious lunch.

Our guide Kevin was wonderful. Plenty of history provided during our trip. The staff at the stable were super friendly and our horses were gentle and lovely. We saw tons of beautiful landscapes and had the opportunity to hike some on our own. This was the perfect amount of time and we never felt rushed and were back in time early enough to enjoy dinner out. Highly recommend!

The horseback riding was incredible. I loved Killegar Stables. Everyone there is super friendly, and the guide, Joe, knows the forest like the back of his hand. Riding along the pastures on the way to the forest, with the ocean as the backdrop, felt like riding into a fairytale. 10 out of 10. The rest of the tour was wonderful as well, with spectacular views and a bit of history and folklore as told by our guide Derrick. All in all, I would say horseback riding was the absolute highlight for me. If you want to ride in one of Ireland's most picturesque and magical locations, I highly recommend this tour.

I booked this adventure as a solo traveler and had an absolutely amazing time! Linda was such a fantastic guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations for places to explore around Ireland.
The horseback riding experience was unforgettable, with stunning views stretching all the way to the sea on a beautiful sunny day. Lunch in Wicklow was delightful, and the scenic drive through Wicklow National Park to Glendalough was packed with even more breathtaking landscapes.
I can’t recommend this tour company highly enough, especially Linda as a guide. Because it’s a smaller company, the whole experience felt personal and relaxed rather than rushed or overcrowded. Linda took the time to learn everyone’s names and made sure all of us felt included throughout the day. There were quite a few solo travelers on the tour as well, which made for such a fun and social atmosphere — we were all chatting and enjoying the adventure together! 10/10 :)

Amazing experience! Linda was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. The people at the horseback riding place were also amazing and super friendly. They knew the area well and gave us details about what we were seeing. They made us feel safe with the horses since we didn’t have much experience. Overall great tour.

Simply a magical experience….! Our guide Linda made this trip amongst the best I have ever had. Her expertise, fun demeanor, valuable insights made the drive perfect. Riding the horses with two kind guides and a small group of 3 tourists was simply amazing. Even though I have zero experience as a rider, I was given the gentlest horse Tom <3 and good instructions so I felt safe at all times. You’ll ride 1,5 hours through the forest, up a hill and see the ocean.
Hiking to the upper lake later that day was awesome, as well. Enchanted monastery, forest and kind people all around.
I will not shut up about this day to my friends and would 10/10 book this tour again next time. You’ll make memories of a life time!

We had an absolutely amazing experience!
The horseback ride was truly magical the scenery was breathtaking, and the horses were incredibly gentle and well trained, which made the experience enjoyable and relaxing even for everyone. It felt like a unique and peaceful way to explore the beautiful Irish countryside.
The guides were fantastic friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. They made everyone feel welcome and added a lot of joy to the day with their great sense of humor and warm personalities.
