- All vehicles are a saloon vehicle and licensed to carry 4 passengers. As this requires 3 persons to sit in the back seats it may get a little cramped should everyone be tall. To request a minivan please add this to your notes.
- Some attractions such as the Book of Kells and Kilmainham Goal will require pre booked tickets. If you wish to tour inside these buildings please let us know so we can help you book the correct times and send you their payment links to book these external tour attractions.

The actual tour guide person, Jim, was a nice guy, but the tour operator was very slow to respond to pretty much everything. And on top of that, he also did not communicate our itinerary to Jim. When we met Jim he had no idea that we had tickets for Guinness, what time, or what we wanted to do. I really would not recommend this to agency to anybody because of that reason alone.!

We're very sad to hear of your experience regarding the communication aspects to your booking with us. We strive to try and keep our standards high across the whole experience, booking, calls and the actual guiding itself.
We chatting with Jim regarding the failure in communicating the start time for Guinness. Normally the notes are added to the booking notes in the additional notes section but they were delivered via text message on a follow up query with him so they were missed by him. I can only apologise for this as normally this wouldn't be an issue when texting additional info directly to the guide versus leaving it on the notes.
With regards to the slow responses we're at the limitations of Viator's messaging system and the messages do not come instantly to us / or notifications are not sent out immediately so the team check the Viator system sporadically throughout the day.
I am delighted to hear you did have a nice time with Jim and that your day went well. We try our best to communicate as efficiently as we can via Viator but I will admit in this instance we could have done better to respond or make sure your question was answered with no feeling of it left open.
Just to note if anyone reading this feels a response is taking a little longer than expected please do just text/whatsapp us on our number provided on the booking. Our team answer late at night to service our American guests.

We were unable to do the tour in Dublin due to poor weather conditions. Sorry to hear the tour company would not even consider a partial refund for the tour. Not very nice.

We’re really sorry to see this one-star review and disappointed we didn’t meet your expectations. Just to note for potential customers: Our guide was ready and waiting on shore to do the tour as booked. The cruise shipmate the decision they were not going to allow you guys to tender on to land which is a shame.
Unfortunately, we follow Viator’s strict 24-hour cancellation policy, which doesn’t allow us to offer refunds for last-minute cancellations. Unlike direct bookings, we also pay high commission fees to Viator, and our guides — who are booked and paid in advance — must still be compensated for their time.
We did respond to your refund request via Viator, but the platform limits how much we can communicate in that space. We will gladly offer you the chance to reschedule your tour on your next visit to Ireland — something we always do for direct customers — but we weren’t able to share that text through Viator because of limited text space in the form.
For better flexibility, clearer communication, and more generous terms (like partial refunds in similar situations), we always recommend booking directly with us at touristy Ireland.
We’d still love to welcome you on a future trip to Ireland and make it right. Our guide will off course still fulfil your tour on a future date at no extra cost to you. Last minute cancellations especially when the guide is at the shop removed the ability for them to do another tour. With the limited amount of specialised private tour guides in Ireland we have to reject other bookings for the same date to ensure they’re not left without a guide. It’s rare we have cancellations at all especially in the busy summer season.
If you can get in contact with us direct we can keep in touch and ensure you or a family member can enjoy your tour the next time you visit Ireland. Thanks for taking the time to write the review and we totally understand your frustration.

Dave was the absolute best tour guide. We saw so much packed into one day. He went above and beyond to tailor the tour to what we wanted and was so knowledgeable. We enjoyed listening to the history and information he shared. We’re grateful and definitely recommend him if you want a laid back yet complete and down to earth tour of Dublin with all the spots covered.

Excellent time with Dave. The experience was terrific. Dave was very accommodating with timing issues and we made the best of the time we had after meeting him. Viator trip was 5 star.
FYI to ship passengers: Princess had a procedure that prevented people with outside tours from tendering to shore until after 9:30 (tendering started at about 7:30 am) and we left the ship at 10:30 for a 30 minute tender. Therefore we missed almost half of our full day experience. Better communication would allow people to make alternate trip arrangements.

The guide makes the tour! we had never visited Dublin before but Miriam. being a native.made our tour a truly memorable experience. She treated us to Dublin’s complex history, traditions, quirks and everything that makes Dublin the unique, wonderful city. Plus Miriam has a great personality, is very warm and gracious . Noel worked around the unseasonably wet (even for Ireland) weather to give us a great sense of the layout and history of Dublin, and made excellent suggestions as to what we could visit largely indoors during the day. My wife and I fully recommend him for a day driving tour of Dublin.

I have booked many times through Viator and every time they exceed my expectations! Miriam our driver for the day was fabulous! We got to see authentic Dublin a locals way. Car was comfortable the conversation informative and everything was perfect!

We did not receive a request about what we wanted to see in Dublin until late the night before our tour. We were at dinner until 9 pm so did not check our email. When we met Noel, he wanted to know what we wanted to see. A number of places we wanted to go to were sold out. While Noel did provide us with some options a number of the places we wanted to see ( the Book of Kells) did not have anything available. He was very good at getting us to some places. We were very disappointed in Viator as they had not contacted us before the night before. We had a very good experience with Tours by Locals in Belfast for a lot less than we paid Viator. We also had to pay for entrance fees to the places we selected. I don't think we will use Viator for future tours.
