Interesting evening but bring lots of extra $$

Interesting evening for our family. Our driver was great and we really enjoyed the dune bashing. The dinner was good food and the show interesting. The fire entertainers were the best part. The relentless upselling took from the evening though. Better seating areas, longer camel rides, horse rides, holding the falcon, the headwrap (they made it seem it was included and put it on me then tried to charge us - I took it off and declined forcefully), and while seated trying to enjoy the dinner and show they constantly tried to sell perfume, jewelry, hookah, trickets and souvenirs, ice cream and junk food not related to the buffet dinner. Pick up and return to our hotel was a plus since it was a good 40 minutes from the Marina area.

Great room to improve!

As a whole the experience was great. Although a few things that weren’t! 2 families were picked up in one 4 wheel drive vehicle it was very cramped, the camp was over a hours drive from my hotel. Once you were there you are pounced on by sellers trying to sell you a variety of goods. We did rent the quad bikes which were excellent. We paid extra for a separate vehicle to take us across the sand dunes as we didn’t want to be cramped in with another family, a different driver from pick up. We were then taken to the camp for food and a show which was another 30 minutes away! The driver who did the running around was ok although not very professional on his phone while driving and at times his driving was unsafe. At the show there were more sellers and you can upgrade to a priority seating area if you don’t want to sit on the floor. As stated overall the tour was great but some aspects were disappointing.

However, we do offer private vehicle upgrades for those who prefer more space and comfort, as you opted for, and we’re happy you were able to enjoy that part of the journey. Regarding the travel time and camp location, the desert experience is set in a remote area to ensure an authentic and scenic adventure. While this does mean a longer drive, we strive to make the journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible. As for the sellers at the camp, they are independent vendors offering optional souvenirs and services. We understand this can feel overwhelming to some guests, and we’re working on improving how this is managed to ensure a more relaxed atmosphere. We’re also sorry to hear about your experience with the driver. Professionalism and safety are top priorities for us, and we will be addressing this with our team to ensure better conduct moving forward.
