Overview
Spend an evening in the Arabian Desert on a 6-hour tour from Dubai. It was a fabulous experience. Everybody should do it. The only down side was the driver. He never talked or pointed out places of interest. I asked what that giant looking mound was. He just pointed to a road sign. He said nothing, did not introduce himself. At one stop we wondered what are we doing.
He was always smoking and not staying with us. All members thought the same. Glad I had been to Dubai before. The smell of his cigarettes permitted.the car. He was a good driver over the dunes. I asked if all the other cars were the same company. He replied curtly , he was his own boss and worked for nobody. Completely opposite to tour day before, where driver was so helpful and full of the history and information of Abu Dhabi. There were many things I could say and if he showed any interest I would of given 5 stars.
But we did not let it spoil our day, but a commentary would have been good. I always use Viator companies, but he showed no interest and did not talk at all. Thank you. I was hesitant in writing this but felt let down. We did not even get told where we were.As soon as we stopped he was off .Felt stranded. Other groups drivers stayed with their group.
Awesome desert safari- our guide, Akram, explained what was included and extra at each stop and made sure we had a great experience. Very nice vehicle and excellent performers at the camp/bbq!

It was a great experience not to be missed. The 4wd trip out to the camp was OMG amazing and scary all at the same time. The dunes were amazing. The camp was good as well as the meal.
Wonderful experience. The ride around the sand dunes can be a little rough if you are prone to motion sickness. I sat in the front seat because of this and had no problems. Several cars had to stop and let people out to vomit. Just be aware this can be a problem.
Exciting exhilarating but not for the faint hearted. Nearly died going up and down some of the sand dunes but we were fortunate to have Mohamed who was the lead driver with 12 other 4WD behind. The camp was also interesting as was the camel ride and watching the dancing. The whirling dervish before dinner and the belly dancing after.
SO MUCH FUN! The ride into the desert is of course the best part! When you arrive at the camp, there are camels to ride, shisha to smoke, food to eat, and entertainment after sunset. Really a wonderful evening. We did not have the option of falconry or henna, like some other tours provide. But we didn't miss it. Tons of food options to please everyone, and alcohol is available for purchase. A must-do in Dubai!
We were on the rear-rear seats of Toyota Land Cruiser and it was a little uncomfortable during the desert ride. Except that everything else was really nice experience ... photo stops in desert, camel ride, Bedouin village in desert, dinner. Really nice and something different to see except Dubai city lights and skyscrapers!
the Desert experience was awesome. the tour company sent us an email two days before to confirm our address and also sent a letter to the hotel. the driver was on time to pick us up and was very friendly and explained to us everything during the drive and also told us a bit about the Emirati culture etc.
the Dune Bashing was awesome! our kids loved it and would definitely do it again!!! the camp was clean and the food adequate. only downside was the very brief Camel ride and the exorbitant prices charged for the photos and the mementos in the kiosks at the camp. they also didnt take Credit cards for any purchases so be sure to carry some Cash.

Great adventure, loved the dune bashing, sand boarding and the sunset was amazing, only thing that let it down was the camel ride, there were 3 camels, you got on went round in a circle of about 20m then off again, not really a camel ride and the kids were disappointed.

It was very cold, you my inform the Clients befor Trip.
Our guide was in bad mood. Never spoke, Never explain anything, from our hotel, during the trip, back to the hotel, he remain silence.
A must go in Dubai. The sunset in the desert was mesmerizing and worth the entire trip to Dubai. The driver Sidheek was great and even took pictures of family in the desert sunset that will always be remembered. The pick up was also pretty on time. After deflating the wheels, the driver took us through the desert dunes. I have to admit it is a tough ride, I would recommend it BIG TIME. We went with my 72yr mother in law and she enjoyed it as much as my 14 and 17yr daughters. You will then experience a sunset in the middle of the desert that will blow your minds. Worth every penny you pay and you will always treasure such memories. Then the camp dinner is also very good and another great experience. I strongly recommend this experience and this particular company. Ask fro Sidheek as driver!
What a blast. Don't get overly excited about the evenings entertainment. It was fine, but the jeeps in the dunes was awesome.
The ride on the 4X4 was fun and exciting, the facilities in the camp was not as good as described, did not even see a camel!
