So.. I had read the reviews. Everyone is mentioning that the hike is hard but they are emphasizing on how beautiful and worth it is.
So I thought, OK, so many people did it, how hard can it be.
Well, it really is. Be prepared! I wasn't prepared mentally for sure. Get enough snacks cause this is a 6hour hike. You will have at least 2 breaks to eat something and gaze the view, but I didn't even have enough snacks with me. So, thank you Junior for your kind offer of biscuits!
By the way, Junior is a very good guy, always with the smile, trying to help all of who struggle with the hike. He is in a very good physical state himself and also knows the route really well, so you can trust him.
It has been an adventure for me for sure.
Well, the views, are simply amazing.
And the sulfate smell is something extraordinary, yet familiar with all of us who are used in living in dirty cities. You'll understand by the moment you smell it yourself.
Summing up, I do recommend this tour, it's a lifetime experience. Just be prepared that it is not an easy. Train yourself for that if needed, have plenty of rest the previous day, eat well and have enough snacks with you. These are my recommendations.

The hike was no joke! Even as experienced hikers having done Havasupai and Kilimanjaro, our legs definitely felt it by the end. But it was absolutely well worth it and Junior was fantastic. We ended up with folks at all different speeds (we were the slowest) and one guy doing drone videos, and Junior accommodated everyone and he ended up doing the hike twice to make sure no one felt rushed and no one felt held back. Great coordination on his part. We had a great time and felt well looked after on the muddy and tricky parts. Got to enjoy swimming in the hot waterfalls and then Titou Gorge (wish I had packed my waterproof camera for that). It was very cold but felt good after the long hike. Junior is an awesome guide - highly recommend! Great communication leading up to the trip so we knew what to expect.

We had an incredible day with Junior! 🤩
He guided our family safely along the breathtakingly beautiful trail to Boiling Lake, including our two children aged 8 and 10.
Communication beforehand was excellent, which was especially important for us as we were visiting Dominica on a cruise ship.🛳️
After the hike, we were able to cool our tired legs in Titou Gorge.
Overall, it was an experience that truly could not have been better.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hardest hike of my life and my most favorite day of the cruise excursions. Learned a lot about the island and saw incredible views and experienced a little bit of the hot springs in addition to viewing the boiling lake. Then the swimming in the gorge at the end was the perfect way to finish the day. Definitely be aware that this hike does not allow for a lot of rest or break time!

Junior gave us an excellent experience on our hike. Our weather and the trail was challenging but he kept our spirits up with good discussion. We initially had quite a bit of cloud cover but it opened up when we got to the lake and was amazing to see

Junior is a fantastic guide. He’s knowledgeable, safe and just all around fun to be around. Be prepared to get sweaty and dirty as the hike has plenty of rock scrambles and rope assists. Pack some calories but leave some room in your belly for treats and drinks the ladies sell at the trailhead when you are done.

If you’re thinking about this trek - DO IT! And do it with Junior! 5 stars all around! I had high hopes for this adventure and it did NOT disappoint! My husb & I are extreme athletes, and we both move at a very quick pace, which we understand is abnormal. Junior our guide was incredibly accommodating and mindful of this however and made sure we were able to adventure exactly how we wanted to, which I greatly appreciated. Like others mentioned, Junior is funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable of his home. He shared much about the history, culture, and flora and fauna. We learned so much during our adventure! So much so, that my husband and I are already looking to come back for a month instead of a day so we can get the full Dominica experience. Thank you Junior, and we look forward to recommending you to friends and reconnecting with you in the future!

Amazing hike. Bring some good boots though and tolerance to mud because there’s lots of it. Nature is astonishing though.

It was a really great hike and worth the adventure climbing over boulders and through muddy parts. The hike is definitely somewhat challenging, but no problem if you have done hikes before and got the proper footwesr. Junior took great care of us, pointing out tricky parts and helping us over crossings and up and down the steeper parts. He also made for great company, entertaining us with infos about the fauna and flora and local culture. Would definitely go on a hike with Junior again.

Absurdly good experience. Our incredibly funny and knowledgeable guide Jason ensured we had not just a good time, but a great time. He pointed out local flora for us and its various uses, caught river crabs scuttling around in the rain, and taught us some of the rich history of Domenica. He took us to scenic viewpoints, to hot springs, and just ensured that we were happy. Thank you for everything Jason!

Best activity you can possibly have in Dominica! Junior and Jalal are outstanding and funny guides who take good care of you on this hard hike (really challenging!), I enjoyed my time with them as they explained a lot about nature, culture and people in Dominica. What you get to see on your way is worth all the exhaustion. 5 stars for this tour and its guided!!!
