We were fortunate to see many sperm whales up close our crew was fantastic, making sure we traveled to where the whales were. This was our first time seeing the amazing sperm whales, including a mother feeding her toddler. Mr. Beatz was an incredible guide. So friendly and enthusiastic, dancing with us on our way back. The rum punch served on board was potent and delicious. Our favorite excursion on our cruise. They even took pictures for us so we could enjoy the whales. Only glitch was the trip back to the ship. Our ride was not there, but another gentleman made arrangements for us at no extra cost to us. I highly recommend this whale watch!!

This tour was outstanding - we saw seven sperm whales and the captain was great. If you are a person that gets seasick, I would highly recommend taking the proper precautions. We had an individual get very sick on the tour. It was fine when the boat was moving, but when we were stopped looking for whales it was choppy.

Amazing time. Jeff and Mr. Bean were so patient with nature. The trip did not disappoint and we saw a beautiful Sperm Whale. The knowledge and expertise of these two guys went above and beyond. If you choose this trip definitely do yourself a favor and request them!

Hello,
I wanted to share that I had a really disappointing experience with this tour. It was supposed to last 3 hours, but we started bit late and ended earlier than expected. During the whole trip, we did not see any fish at all, not whales, not dolphins, nothing.
I also felt that the guide/captain did not really try very much and seemed afraid of the wind conditions. I was really hoping this would be a great experience, but unfortunately it was not.
I would really appreciate it if you could offer me a refund so that I may book the trip again with your company and hopefully have a better experience next time.

Our captains and naturalists always use hydrophones and follow best practices to locate whales and dolphins, but as you know, these animals sometimes dive deep or travel outside their usual zones. It is not like looking for them under a rock to determine we did not try hard enough.
Safety is our top priority, and we will never put our guests at risk, especially when conditions such as high winds make certain areas unsafe. I don't say this lightly — this was one of the most breathtaking experiences of my life. Within the first hour on the water, we spotted a magnificent sperm whale. Nothing can truly prepare you for the moment you see one of these giants up close in their natural habitat. I was completely speechless.
Dominica is one of the few places in the world where sperm whales can be seen year-round, and this tour delivered beyond anything I expected. The crew was professional, passionate, and clearly deeply knowledgeable about these incredible animals and the waters they call home.

Everything was great! We saw the whales, and overall it was a beautiful experience.
The only thing I didn’t really like was the communication with the guide, as he was a bit impolite. But since the main goal was accomplished, we just didn’t pay much attention and enjoyed the moment hahaha.

A nice morning out on the water about a mile or so off Dominica’s west coast in a comfy speedboat seating about 10 pax. Spotted four sperm whales in three hours: lots of spouting from all four, two dives with flukes showing and even nice views of large square head on one. Captain well informed and friendly. Water, ginger ale and rum punch served en route (the latter in last hour). Recommend although sightings not guaranteed. (Captain keeps respectful distance from whales so didn’t get super-close.)

Well, they promised us an eight person. Boat and the boat held maybe 40 or 50 people but good news was there were maybe 20 on it.
The crew were very pleasant. We did not see any sperm whale since they were pilot whales in the area which scare them away. We did see pilot whales just FYI, not much to see mostly fin sticking out of the water that’s nobody’s fault. It’s just the way it is.
It was a pleasant way to spend the morning and then go back to the ship for lunch

Hello Paul, very sorry you were disappointed in the larger catamaran. We try to please everyone and with increasing requests, we decided to use our newer and larger catamaran that holds up to 60 pax. That day we have 38 pax on board.

I'm so glad I booked this sperm whale watch in Roseau. We saw 6 sperm whales and 1 was a baby. The crew were knowledgeable and respected the whales. Hearing the clicks on the hydrophone was so cool. It was a wonderful time and I highly recommend Waitukubuli Dolphin and Whale Watch in Dominica.

Our guide was super knowledgeable telling us about the difference between male and females. He talked about the depth of the water ,how the whales were fixing to dive and look for tails up. How the males as he puts it comes home for Christmas to visit the females. Our Guide was very very knowledgeable and telling about their habitat how they live. He told us how there’s one dominant male in the pod, and how the younger males have to fight the older male to get a chance at a female.
Overall, it was just a very relaxing morning out on the water learning about the sperm whales and their habitat and also seeing dolphins play and how the Dolphins do not interact with the whales.

There is not a guarantee you will see whales & dolphins. We went to the area they are known to congregate during mating season, mid January. The Atlantic Ocean waters off the coast of Dominica were really rough that day. Not one single sighting. Our guide did try to go to several areas along the coast, and were communicating with a sister boat. They used a listening device in the water. They did their best, but it was a disappointment overall.

Sighting whales is never guaranteed! Going into the Atlantic in a small boat is not for the faint of heart!!. Our boat captain handled his craft expertly and the rum punch at the end was fantastic.

Really great time! Unfortunately didn’t see any whales BUT they said that was the first time in three weeks that had happened! And the scenery was incredible. The driver was extremely safe and a great driver. He made sure we missed the big swells so we were less seasick. Really great if you’re worried about being on a boat!

Excellent communications and well organised tour. Unfortunately we didn’t see any whales or dolphins but we took a boat ride out and back. They picked us up at the ship and drove the boat right up next to the ship.

We LOVED the small boat. The Captain was extremely knowledgeable and was able to find 10 whales for us to se, including a few baby whales to watch. We got very close to then and we were almost able touch them! Definitely worth it!

Okay for a boat ride.... but could have been better. Saw no whales ... just a few dolphins and flying fish. One of the boat motors broke down on the way back to the shore and another boat had to be called to come pick us up. Would have been nice to have some music playing on the boat --- the only music played was at the end on the other boat that picked us up. Difficult to hear what the guide was saying. They made a stop for those that wanted to jump in the water and swim/snorkel yet this was not listed in the description and we didnot wear our swimsuits. Just an average tour nothing special 2-3stars/5.

Our tour guide was great! We did get to see some dolphins which was a lot of fun. We saw no whales which was the main reason we went on this excursion. I know this is not guaranteed but the write up made it sound highly likely so we were disappointed. The captain and guide did all they could to find them and that was appreciated. Just can’t give a 5 star review when we didn’t get to see more. Maybe this should just be called a dolphin cruise.

Capt. Beanz was a terrific guide & pilot. He gave us a thorough narration of what we could see then proceeded to take us to pods of pilot whales, dolphins, sperm whales & their babies. We weren't lucky enough to see whalespr dolphins unfortunately. With them being wild animals you can't predict how it will go. Our captain however was really good and tried his best to locate for us. The boat ride was brilliant, it's very bumpy and fast so wouldn't recommend for people with health complaints and back pain but it was a really exhilarating experience. We looked at caves where we spotted bats and along the shoreline where the captain explained to us about the volcanic formations, activity & mining which was interesting. The rum punch is the best in the Carribbean also 🙌🏼

We saw two sperm whales. Was it interesting? Well... yes. Is it the most exciting experience in Dominica? No. The staff was very experienced and caring. Thanks to all of them! Tiffany you are the best!
Why 4 stars not 5? Because of the exact tour. It took us 3 hours and the bigger part of the tour was..... looking at the sea water.
