Great mix of sights of northern Dominica

We had a lovely day exploring the north part of the island. Learned about the history of the island with a nice tour of fort Shirley. Kenny our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and make the experience enjoyable. Highlight included a boat ride down the Indian River with our guide Rosco who made the trip fun!!

Our guide Leonard is a walking encyclopedia about the trees & fruits of Dominica and shared them with our group as we drove to the northern part of the island. 3 separate experiences, Cold Soufriere volcano hike was great. Ft. Shirley historically informative, Indian river boat trip relaxing end to the day, seeing many birds, including the native parrot was a highlight! Leonard is a true “native” himself whose love & understanding of his island helped make it a great day!

Amazing excursion

Everything about this excursion was exceptional. Scheduling and pick up were well organized and the pick up location was directly across the street from the cruise port. Our driver, Aaron, was knowledgeable and friendly. The boat operator, Maverick, was excellent and even made souvenirs for the kids out of palm leaves. I would definitely recommend this excursion, especially if you have children.

River View

This was a really relaxing and interesting afternoon. The river is full of fish, the shorelines were covered with crabs, herons and iguanas. The boat ride was perfect. We stopped at a little bar along the shore before heading back. The flowers were beautiful, our guide wove some palm leaves into birds and fish, there was a chance to get a cold drink and just enjoy.
