I brought my teenage son...
I brought my teenage son and daughter on this excursion and it was the highlight of their whole week of our cruise. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, our safety was their first priority. Equipment was good. You need to be physically fit as it was exhausting at times. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Dominica is breathtaking.

Best Tour We’ve Ever Done!
This was an incredible experience from start to finish. The meeting point was easy to find with appropriate signage to know we were in the right place. Kevin was an amazing host the entire day. He shared his knowledge of the island and fielded our dozens of questions. All of the stops on the excursion were enjoyed by adults and kids alike. There was some rain on the day we visited but Kevin was in touch with the appropriate people at each location so we knew in advance what to expect. I truly cannot recommend this experience enough. 5+++ star experience. Do not hesitate to book! We are so thankful for such a memorable day in Dominica!

Sites of Dominica
Gilbert (Bert) was our tour guide to learn about Dominica. He safely drove us through many mountain roads to the majestic Trafalgar Falls. You don’t want to miss that! Bert’s history of the island was a good primer for understanding the local culture. Born of volcanos that are still active, we saw the Wooten Waven Sulphur Springs, part of the volcanic activity. Titou Gorge was also exciting to see and swim in through the caves. You should join Gilbert for this tour if you want to see sites in a four hour tour.

Unbelievable Experience!
The canyoning experience with Nathalie and Carlyn exceeded our expectations! It was definitely challenging, with both of us being beginners, but it was ever so rewarding. The views were magical and all of the natural pools were amazing. Lastly, it was very clear that both Nathalie and Carlyn love what they do! We learned so much about the beautiful island of Dominica from them. We’ll definitely do this again!

Great times at the Boiling Lake!
We had a fantastic experience! There was some confusion with getting off of our cruise ship and meeting at the location for transport, and our driver was excellent. He was so patient and accommodating and stayed in communication really well. The hike itself was amazing. This is one of the biggest hikes we've done and our guide was helpful throughout, offering some advice but also giving us latitude for our own pace. He was a great conversationalist besides! The landscape throughout the hike and the lake itself were stunning. Would highly recommend all the way around (although our legs are still sore)!

Fantastic!
This was a highlight of our travels!
We met our guide (Hubert from Waitukubuli Tours) very close to our cruise port and he drove us out and back. It was wonderful to have a local and knowledgeable guide to share information about history, culture, flora and fauna.
The Middleham Falls hike is a little over 3 miles round trip. We found it to be moderately strenuous- the trail is clear but dynamic with lots of elevation change with many steep steps and some uneven footing. The waterfall at the end is breathtaking and we saw only a few other hikers on the trail. There are water crossings and slippery tree roots, stones, and logs. We opted for hiking shoes which gave good traction but got very wet very quickly. The trail could be done in hiking sandals (like Chacos) or some sort of water shoe, but with so many slippery areas there is risk of falls and injuries in lighter weight footwear.
Overall the hike will feel harder for those of us who may be a little out of shape, or not used to the hot humid climate. Drinking plenty of cold water, and taking a quick breather after a steep stair climb helped us acclimate and accomplish the small challenges of the climb.
Our guide was kind and patient, gauging our fitness levels and pointing out hazards along the way. He is very knowledgeable about local flora and fauna- we learned about the botany of the area and heard and caught glimpses of local mammals and beautiful hummingbirds and parrots! We hiked in both sunshine and in torrential pouring rain. It was wonderful.
Visiting TiTou Gorge after our hike was a great way to cool off and have a unique experience of a short swim up the deep gorge to a waterfall. PFD’s are available on site for flotation, as well as some local vendors selling souvenirs. The water was chilly but pleasant, and there were handholds and ropes to help navigate the quick moving current. The scenery is unique and memorable.
If we are ever able to return to Dominica we would not hesitate to go on more tours with the Waitukubuli Tours company, and highly recommend their services. We were well taken care of by them and were very comfortable all day long.
