Scam!

Meghan_D, Feb 2026
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!! They didn’t show up for our tour and when I messaged them they never messaged me back. When I requested a refund due to them not showing up for the tour they rejected it. THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY! BEWARE!!

Response from Host, Feb 2026

This is not true, please not that if you are late and do not advise, you boat will leave as for there are other passengers onboard that also paid and some habe a cruise ship to get back on time to.

Save your time and money

Beth_R, Jan 2026
Boat showed up 30 minutes late and the right side kept deflating causing major water splashing into the back of the boat soaking us. We expected to get wet but this felt like water boarding. The “drinks” were poured into dirty cups, the staff didn’t jump in the water at the cave to even show us where the cave was so ppl just ended up snorkeling. On the way back, there were 10 foot swells that combined with the deflated side, didn’t make us feel safe!

Serious Safety Concerns

Steve_W, Dec 2025
This tour had 3 parts to it, the "blue room cave", Turtle snorkeling and visit to beach. The first stop was actually up against a cliff where the guy pointed out a completely submerged cave entrance and said there it is. The only safety advice he gave was "watch your don't crack your head open as you swim through". No safety equipment not even a rope guide. Anyone foolish or brave enough to venture in would be completely out of sight if they got into trouble. Needless to say none of our party went near it. Our captain meanwhile spent his time reading his phone. Next stop was as advertised ( tourist honey pot very crowded) which was fine. Then we left there for our last stop "at the beach". It looked nice as we approached, only for him to more up 100m from the shore, and say " here we are". He was more taxi driver than tour guide.

A great afternoon!

Kelly_p, Sep 2025
Worth every penny! You get to see the entire shoreline to the west on your trip to turtle beach. Our driver was amazing navigating the waves and was able to adjust to some slight boat issues and got us to the turtles. Less turtles than expected but it was a great snorkel experience.

Really fun if you're good with adapting

Lucas_J, Jul 2025
Great overall experience with a few notes: definitely on the adventurous side and youre not guaranteed to see turtles. Beautiful beaches though and the cave was really cool. Be prepared for a couple hours on open seas that can get really choppy; not for the faint of stomach.

Don’t book

Amy_N, Jul 2025
Tour guide didn’t show up for the tour so we were left standing on a pier for an hour trying to reach them. Visitor was also not able to reach them and 24 hours later still no response to Viator on why they didn’t show up. We had asked to be rebooked to the following day no response ever. We only had one more day left of our trip and the other turtle tours were full. So disappointed. I read the reviews and saw this has happened before but as a travel agent I sell this tour and wanted to experience a tour I actually sell. There were positive reviews so I took a chance I shouldn’t have. I obviously will not ever recommend this tour again to my customers. I strongly discourage people from booking this unreliable tour.

Just go ahead and book it 😊

Adelita_M, Jun 2025
Great customer service. The spots we visited were awesome. My favorite was Casa Abao beach. The ambiance and group size was great too.

Don’t bring grandma.

Andrea_Z, Apr 2025
Extreme thrill seekers only and I’m serious! This boat is going to beat the absolute snot out of you and is not for the faint of heart, those with back/neck problems, or people looking for a casual relaxed boat ride. The sea you will go through is rough. Period. At times we were splitting 6 to 8 foot waves and crashing down between them. For our group… It was awesome! For the family with a 10-year-old and grandma in tow… Not so much. Bring your own snorkel gear if can, fins will be helpful at the blue room, the current is strong and my thighs were tired. If you’re not a good swimmer this is not the trip for you. If you want the thrill and possibility of peeing yourself… this is your jam. Totally had a blast! We had a DJI Action Cam and got incredible turtle vids. Away from the shore/dock - the water is super clear and they aren’t afraid of you - they will swim very close. Captain T was great and knew how to handle the waves and the boat - and even being a thrill seeker I was nervous a few times because the waves got fairly intense in certain parts. He was cool calm collected and I felt safe with him driving.

Okay Excursion

Pamela_C, Mar 2025
You may not get to go in the cave for snorkeling if the water is too high. There were not many turtles, but they were cool to look at and a pretty good size. It is a long boat ride out and back. The pick-up dock is small, and the boat is very low in the water compared to the dock. The crew was not very talkative or friendly.

I want my refund

Jazmin_s, Mar 2025
They canceled my original booking and moved it to 2 days later. I was not able to join I wasn’t able to cancel 24 hours before because they didn’t change the day of my reservation on the Viator. On the Viator app it said my tour had already passed. I reached out to them and was not able to reach them requested a refund from Viator and was told I would receive an email. Didn’t receive an email and didn’t receive a refund. They only do the excursion. If they have enough bookings. If not, they want you to change the day. avoid.

Terrible! Unreliable

Crystal_V, Dec 2024
Cancelled on us within 9 hours of our tour. Cancelled on us at 10:52pm with an email, thankfully I opened up my email before bed and thankfully I was still awake to see the email before waking up at 6:30am to be on time for the tour. The excuse they gave was the boat needed repairs, but the repairs are known more than 9 hours in advance and are planned. We needed more notice, we couldn’t book anything else being close to Christmas, everything was booked up.

Nobody picked up at designated place

Terry_K, Dec 2024
We were at designated pickup place and nobody showed up. A couple from another cruise line was there before us and had contacted operator for pickup area and was given same location. Nobody ever showed up

How not to DIE during this EXCURSION.

Daniela_S, Nov 2024
First and foremost make sure the boat has enough life savers. Next make sure you know what you will do to save your life incase of an emergency. Our excursion was a nightmare from hell. We went to the cave and were told only strong swimmers could go. No big deal. Now tell me why the tour guide who should be a string swimmer, told others how to get in the cave almost died and drowned! When everyone returned to the boat the guide was yelling for help from the cave. Our boat driver then proceeds to ask others to go help save his friend. I believe when the guide was trying to get out of the cave he must have hit his head because there was complete silence followed by the women screaming call 911! Not even sure that’s the right number in Curacao. Imagine the horror of the rest of us on the boat. We then proceed to swim with the turtles and the water was so murky, which I understand is out of their control, we couldn’t see many. No big deal. As we rush back to the boat we are told the engine is down and one of the engine needs oil. We waited on a mechanic for a few hours. We did not even see the third spot they promised. Which at this point no one cared because we were starving and 7 hours into this 3 hour excursion. PS there is not enough snorkel gear for everyone and they don’t wash the mouth pieces. They dip them in the ocean and it’s passed to the next person. My advice is have a back up plan incase all goes wrong.

Amazing Curacao speedboat adventure

Julia_P, Oct 2024
By far the highlight of our cruise where we took a crazy adventurous speedboat tour along the whole West coast to see the famous Blue Room underwater cave, swim with turtles at Playa Piskado and stop at the gorgeous Cas Abao Beach. Speeding along the rocky coastline was incredible and we saw hundreds of flying fish (they actually looked like little humming birds). Was crazy bumpy on the ride back going against the high waves - thankfully my girls love amusement park rides and we had a blast!

10 years in the making.

Steve_M, Oct 2024
We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary and we were told about the blue room from a friend the first time and we did not make it. This time we made it a priority to see the blue room and so glad that we did. The trip back was rough but then again you are going against the waves so very much expected. The captain the the crew were fantastic. Such a great experience.

Be very careful if on a cruise ship booking this tour

Lisa_B, Sep 2024
Unfortunately we did not get to experience swimming with the turtles. Even though we were confirmed, and received an email two days prior to the event (we were fortunate enough to connect to internet while traveling in Aruba) We were on a cruise ship, with no internet access, only to get to Caracao to find that are reservations were canceled. We had a group of eight of us that were supposed to be on this experience. One part of the group was given one address in their confirmation two days earlier, and we were given a different address when we receive the confirmation two days earlier. When we arrived that morning we were told that we should have gotten an email, which we explained we were on a cruise ship with no internet access, stating that we were canceled and other options were offered to us. At the point that we were told this information, we had no way of getting to the second location for the alternate tour. Or we could do it the next day. Being on a cruise ship we didn't have the option of the next day. We were told that this boat will only hold 17 people. So they end up canceling people quite a bit. While not the fault of Viator, I would be very leery of booking this if you're not staying on the island longer. The other group that went to the other address found no signs or indication of where they were supposed to meet the tour. I would not recommend booking this If you are on a cruise ship. All in all our whole group was quite disappointed.

Such a cool experience

Jade_H, Jul 2024
Such a great trip! Loved seeing so much of the island on the way to and from the snorkel spot and cave. The beach we stopped at was beautiful and all around a cool experience. Tip: Bring the life vest with you into the cave and at Turtle Bay, it can be a tiring swim and that makes it easier!

Must have tour!

Sophia_C, Jul 2024
Tour was amazing, the places and beaches were so beautiful. The guide and the crew were so nice and welcoming, drink were delicious. Completely recommend if your looking to have a great time!!

The sea turtles were...

Stephen_B, Jun 2024
The sea turtles were awesome to see but the staff really were extremely polite and helpful and made the trip so wonderful. They were very helpful and reassuring.

Beautiful and fun day

Erin_E, Jun 2024
We had an incredible time on our tour. Although we didn’t see as many sea turtles as expected, Captain Sam and his helper ensured we had a great time. When we inquired about a taxi for our ride home, Captain Sam told us he would bring us directly to Sandals. The Blue Room was so cool and a unique opportunity. The boat was so much fun! It felt like a roller coaster.

Amazing tour

Wendy_H, Jun 2024
Our Captain was awesome and we had such a great time! My daughter had a broken foot and they made sure she could ride comfortable and join in on all the fun!

An adventure but oversold

MrTM_S, May 2024
Tour is overhyped. Firstly, to get to the tour is an adventure. If you’re coming by cruise ship, you’ll need 45 min (so don’t wait about if your ship docks at 8 for a 9am tour). You have to cross the Queen Emma bridge (a floating bridge), which can be open to let ships pass (ie you can’t cross) and then you have to use the free ferry. Then, there was construction and just some small signs to the beach around the construction, but no mention of any pier - you have to just get to Marichi beach (but the operator doesn’t tell you that). Then you are just stood on a beach waiting….no signs or anyone to greet you….and then eventually a boat shows up to collect you. And if you try to communicate with them during your trip to the collection point or while waiting on the beach, there’s no response. Given it was raining and thundering, you would have at least expected a note from the operator that the tour was still going (or that a decision would be made) but no. Given the construction, you would think a communication from the operator to just follow the signs to Marichi Beach, but no. I’ve never had a Viator tour before with zero communication from the operator the evening or the morning of, and here we were, certainly needing something but no. And then, they tell you that you’ll get 45 min at the cave, 45 min at Turtle Beach and 30 min at the beach, but we got 30, 30 and 20……. So be warned, that’s 80 min out of the boat and so we spent 180 min traveling in the boat. It is what it is, it’s a rib boat, it crashes through the waves, it can be uncomfortable, there’s no shelter from spray and only a few have shelter from the sun. They say they have snorkeling equipment for you, but they just have masks and snorkels, no fins or snorkel vest (ok, they did say they had one set of fins). You’d have to be a strong swimmer to get to the cave and back in 30 min (my wife just made it to the cave when they told us to go back). Turtle Bay wasn’t as bad, but honestly, the locals are throwing food into the water to attract turtles and it makes the water murky. We certainly saw some turtles in the water, but no awesome photos really. And the beach is a beach….what can you say. But I don’t regret doing it, it was an adventure, we saw stuff that can’t really be seen any other way - I just think they could do a better job of explaining where the pickup point is, maybe be there to greet us 15 min in advance and be clear about what snorkeling equipment they do and don’t have for guests to use. And they should give us the time at the locations that they advertise and not shorten it

Don’t Fall for the Description

Ashley_L, May 2024
Not as described. No where in the description does it say you have a 20+ min walk to the boat, or the very long boat ride just to get to the cave or the turtles(which we did not see). The boat ride back was comparable to a roller coaster and you got beat up pretty good. Not for children and you must be a very good swimmer to get to cave. Remember that 20+ walk to the boat, you have to do that on your return while very sun burned. It took a lot of asking questions of locals to find out meeting point.

Response from Host, May 2024

Dear Ashley, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that since mid-February, we no longer offer pick-ups at the cruise terminal for new bookings. From now on, we recommend walking 10 to 15 minutes to the pick-up location or taking a cab. This information is also stated on our website and in our communications. Regarding the current at the Blue Room, you are correct, it was indeed strong during your visit. We mentioned several times during the trip that the turtles are not to be found at the boat, but at the pier. Unfortunately, this was not heeded, which contributed to your disappointment. We have at least 90% of our customers spot multiple sea turtles each day. Once again we apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our services. Hoping to have informed you sufficiently. Have a great day! Kind regards, Raniah Dammada Water Taxi Curacao

Thrill ride

Kevin_C, May 2024
Snorkeling in the islands is always memorable and the blue cave was unique and you will definitely see numerous sea turtles. What you should know before booking: 1. The boat is a zodiac boat, with extremely small seats and zero shade. 2. Seas are rough in Curacao, so if you are prone to sea sickness, this is not the trip for you. If you like the thrill of jumping waves and being in the sun, this is the trip for you...thrill seekers will love it. The captain does is best to navigate the waves and makes it as smooth as possible, but there will definitely be some hard landings during the trip. 3. Due to the rough seas, its difficult to take advantage of the drinks on board. You most likely will be wearing half of the drink:). This made for some fun onboard for the guests though 4. The majority of the trip is spent traveling to the three sites - you will have around an hour and a half of actual snorkeling time. 5. The sites visiting for snorkeling are lovely 6. Captain and crew were very friendly and helpful

Best experience! Must do!

Hanna_M, May 2024
The caves were beautiful, but the highlight of the trip were the turtles! So many turtles and we got to swim so close to them! The boat ride back was a ton of fun, big waves!

MY FAVORITE ACTIVITY IN CURACAO!!

Margaux_P, May 2024
WOW! What an amazing experience- we especially loved the blue room cave. Those images will live rent free in my head for life! Thank you for showing us the best of Curacao from a boat, our family of 4 loved every minute of it! PS: Wear sunscreen even if it's overcast, you'll thank me later!(;

This tour is for Adventurers!

Reese_C, May 2024
This was a VERY COOL experience. We went as a group of more than 10, ages 20’s-50’s. We saw most beautiful water, and so much of the coast of the island. But if you are uncomfortable in “choppy” waters this is not the tour for you. Going out is great, but the ride back is against the current. We never felt unsafe as our captain knew how to navigate, it’s not a relaxing ride!

Amazing trip

Nataliya_P, Apr 2024
It was so much fun and all stops were absolutely amazing. Sam and May are the best. It was windy and big waves, but Sam was avoiding them and took care of our safety. Follow his instructions and you will enjoy the tour. Better than the rollercoaster.

Highly recommend this excursion!

Hailey_G, Apr 2024
Highly recommend this excursion! Swimming with the turtles was the best part. The Blue Room stop was a great experience but can be intimidating if you are not a strong swimmer. Captain Sam and Paco did an amazing job guiding this tour and making everyone feel safe. The boat ride can be a bit bumpy and you will get wet depending on where you sit. Sam was very accommodating with making sure people were comfortable with where they were sitting throughout the trip. They also provided great guidance for entering the Blue Room. The music and drinks were the cherry on top of the experience!

Must do!

Kristy_H, Apr 2024
This experience will forever be the highlight of my trip to Curacao. I am all for thrilling and adventurous experiences and this tour did not disappoint. 10/10 will definitely do this again.
