One of our favorite excursions. We got an overview of the island and were given some surprises! Our guide Long, was great! We had lots of fun and Long made our excursion particularly enjoyable.
Unfortunately, there was some issues when we first checked in the person that was working. The booth was extremely nice and his coworkers were the best after about 20 minutes of talk. We came to an agreement and went in different vehicles than what we originally had ordered. During the trip, we did not go to all the sites that were given in the description, but it did turn ok again. Our tour drivers were great. I think the owner of the company needs to look at his vehicles and they desperately need to be updated. The Tuck Tuck look like they’re very Orn and the other vehicles could have used some TLC.
Paul was the absolute best tour guide! He took us wherever we wanted to go. It was a perfect day! Highly recommend!
We didn’t get a tuk tuk but we got upgraded to a cart. The driver was fantastic and helped us do our own itinerary. He was knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of Curacao. The vehicle wasn’t the best but he drove safely and we had no issues. He even helped us buy fruit at the market.
The driver kept grinding the gears didn’t feel he knew how to drive the vehicle. Was disappointed in what we saw.
First, let me declare that our tour driver Jonathan was GREAT. Learned more about Curacao from him and got to see at least one beach area.
On the other hand ... totally not Jonathan's fault ... the equipment being the Tuk Tuk was in very poor condition. At one point it would not go into reverse (which Jonathan did get it to go) and we should have bailed then. But we continued on and the clutch completely failed on the incline of the high bridge in Curacao in dense traffic. An incredibly unsafe position to be in. A good samaritan pulled over, put us in his vehicle until the company could send another. After that we ended the tour (the owner offered extended time vs. a rebate which we preferred. No way we wanted to continue after that). No one from the company reached out to us afterwards to inquire either.
Bottom line we didn't think the tour itself offered much in the way of experiences, and then to put us in poorly maintained, loud equipment that resulted in an very unsafe situation? Probably should have checked on your customer.
We had a great time with driver Paul. We did this tour at the beginning of our holiday, so that we got a good impression of the island and nice spots to return to. We went to Kokomo beach, flamingo's, the fort, blue curacao factory and several spots in Willemstad. Really liked it!
I was really looking forward to this tour because I wanted to learn more about Curaçao’s culture, history, and the beautiful UNESCO buildings. Unfortunately, the driver was not very informative, so we didn’t learn as much as I had hoped. The sights themselves were beautiful, but I would have enjoyed the experience much more with a guide who could provide more history, background, and interesting information about the places we visited.
I think we just didn't know what to expect. The tuk tuk was very loud, we were going quite fast and it was a little scary. I liked the unique experience of being on our own and I did like the places that we stopped for the tour. However, it wasn't really a tour - we had a driver that took us places and only allowed us to stop for a few minutes (except for the cave). It came as a surprise that the cave was an additional entry fee.
My driver and Guide Paul was a wealth of knowledge and made the tour really fun. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and I will definitely do this Tour again.
The tour guides were good, but the equipment was old, worn out and broke down not once, not twice, but three times. They ended up having to pick us up on the side of the road in a van. The 3 hour tour was not 4.5 hours in and We had to end the tour to get back on ship and did not get to go to the city. VIATOR refused to offer any compensation. NEVER AGAIN. Do not book with them they do not stand behind their service.
The guides were very nice and accomodating however, the tuk tuks kept breaking down (backfiring, transmission issues), and even to the point where they brought us a tuk tuk with no gas in it. This resulted in us to be delayed back to the port of Curacao where our ship was waiting. Due to the breakdowns we were unable to complete the city part of the tuk tuk tour which is what my group was most excited about. I would not recommend this at all to anyone.
Such a fun time exploring the island. Our pink car was the highlight, and tourists were stopping to take pictures. We definitely felt like celebrities. We didn’t get to see the flamingos, but it is what it is. We loved all the street art and the history behind it all.
Our driver was amazing he took us all around and explained everything even held our bags I feel bad because I forgot his name I think it was Peter overall was a great experience
Paul was an awesome knowledgeable tour guide i highly recommend doing the tour we saw a lot of the city and learned a lot about the country.
We had an amazing time! We traveled as a group of 6 but we were able to fit in just one tuk tuk. Unfortunately, our rental was having mechanical problems but our driver, Richard, noticed right away and dropped us back at the hotel to switch vehicles. We got upgraded to two mini jeeps which turned out to be super fun! We loved that the tour was private for just our group and the itinerary was completely customizable. We were able to see everything on our list and then some. Our drivers, Richard and Lito, were very fun, personable, and accommodating. I have already recommended this experience to others at our resort as soon as we got back.
Super neat way to experience the island. Narrow streets and non-existent traffic laws made the ride thrilling. Great view of the flamengos and the Old Swinging Lady from the tall bridge.
Richard was the King of the Tuk Tuk.
An hour late for pick up, NO time spent at any beach and NO flamingos..... terrible experience!! Do not book this tour, it is a scam.
We went on the tuk tuk 3 hour tour. Instead of the tuk tuk we went in a van because there were 8 of us. It was entirely our choice. Our guide,Richard, was great. He customized our tour to make all ages happy. He possessed a great deal of knowledge about the island and provided experiences that we would never have had . He was courteous, friendly, and respectful . If you go on this tour ,ask for Richard, you will not be disappointed
Awesome tour! It was such a great way to see the beautiful island of Curaçao. It was not really a beach day so our driver took us to other places. Super accommodating!
It was a great experience would definitely recommend ro the next people vacationing. Tour guide was good
We had an amazing couple of hours with Arian. We saw so many things and had such a great time. It was relaxed and at our own pace. Arian was knowledgeable and friendly.
We enjoyed our tour with Alexander. We got to see the blue curacao rum factory, Mambo beach, cool sites of Curacao, and eat yummy food at a local eatery. Alexander was very friendly and told us a lot about Curacao especially since it would be Curacao's first time in the World Cup. We also took an afternoon tour with Alexander, and he brought us to the cave and Kokomo beach. He even bought us ice popsicles on the way, and showed us the wild flamingos on Curacao. It was a great day! Highly recommend.
Very friendly people - will take you wherever you want to go. Also will show you places of interest that you didn’t know about
We traveled with our driver Paul and had an excellent time. Paul took us to Kokomo beach, Mambo beach, out to see the flamingos, to the Curacao distillery, across the Queen Juliana Bridge, into downtown Willemstad, the floating bridge, among other places. Paul was very knowledgeable and a great guy. This was the day Curacao was playing The Ivory Coast in the world cup in the World Cup and excitement was in the air. (Sadly the didn't win, sorry Paul). This was one of the best personal tours we have had. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately we did not have the experience we were hoping for. Our Tuk Tuk repeatedly stalled at stop lights, and it took the operator several minutes to restart it. This put us in danger being stalled on a highway where cars were rapidly approaching behind us and quickly swerving when they realized we were stalled. The Tuk Tuk was noisy as it back fired upon the restart attempts. Additionally, we did not visit all of the stops listed on the itinerary. I will say the tour guide was friendly, and the head tour operator (Monte) was helpful. However, they thought they fixed the “spark plug” on our Tuk Tuk to keep it from stalling and it still continued to stall. Eventually my daughters and I refused to ride in it any longer, and we piled into the Tuk Tuk my parents had rented to get us back to the cruise port. This was a disappointing excursion, and I do not recommend it.
We decided to take the three hour tour. It couldn't have been better! The sights were beautiful. Sylvester was our tour guide/driver. He was the kindest, most sincere gentleman. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. He gladly took several photos and videos of us. He was a very careful driver and we were completely safe. By the end of our time, we felt like old friends. This experience was a highlight of our trip to this wonderful island.
This was a fun tour that can be customized if you know some other spots of interest you'd like to see or you can stick to their itinerary. Sylvester was a great guide. He arrived a little late due to some mechanical issues but he assured us it wouldn't take away from our allotted time. We stuck to the itinerary except the flamingos since we got to see them on a tour the day before. And we didn't spend much time at one beach and just used it as a photo session since it had some cute places to take pics. 50 mins to an hour is really not enough time to be at the beach for us. It can take 15-20 minutes just to get settled with a chair and all before getting in the water. We chose to spend more time at Mambo Beach since it was the 2nd/last beach we'd visit. Mambo Beach was big and beautiful. It was not heavily rocky so I was able to go into the water barefoot without water shoes unlike some other beaches so that was a plus. It is pricier than some. Kokomo beach was the 1st beach we visited with the photo op areas. I went into the waste for a picture without my shoes there as well but the rocks there were large and smooth so you could walk on them without issue and see where you were going with the water being so clear. At least closer to the shore. I didn't go far out since we weren't staying long. The chair rental was the same at Kokomo as the part of Mambo Beach we were on ($9 usd). Sylvester took photos for us by request at all the scenic and photo op places we visited. And provided us with some island facts as well. Riding in the tuk tuk was fun as well!
Very nice experience, we liked it and learned a lot about the country and got some good pictures. It was a good time for us and we recommend others to do it too.
Made a booking based on their availability, left us stranded, never called, I had to contact them they never showed up, took forever to respond, I requested a full refund which they refused to give, kept promising to call me back which they never did, rescheduled our activity with out informing us, worst ever ......DO NOT USE....Very unprofessional and unrelated and still haven't refunded me as yet
