My wife and I had a great time with our guide Nikola. The park is amazing and Nikola had so much insight into it because he grew up playing there. This was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip to Croatia. If you want to see Plitvice Lakes National Park, I highly recommend getting a private guide and Nikola was perfect for us.

My wife and I had a great time with our guide Nikola. The park is amazing and Nikola had so much insight into it because he grew up playing there. This was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip to Croatia. If you want to see Plitvice Lakes National Park, I highly recommend getting a private guide and Nikola was perfect for us.

Amazing tour of the national park made even special with an awesome tour guide in Emanuel! He made the experience so much more memorable with his calm and easy going approach to everything, his v useful hints to skip the crowds and always helpful to take photos. Nikola was a great guide. Super knowledgeable and shared lots of great stories and details about the park and Croatia. He was professional and gave us great tips on where to eat and visit after we left the park. Would strongly recommend a tour with him instead of a large tour group.

Fully enjoyed our day long visit with Partizia to the lower and upper lakes to include the boat ride and tram ride. Lunch at the first upper lake. Patrizia was very knowledgeable about the uniqueness of the the lakes, their formation, their history. She offered little anecdotes about things that had happened at the lakes and a little local history. English was excellent. Her pace was perfect for us. I had read other reviews that said they could have done it themselves, without a guidw, which is of course true, but we are so glad that we did not. We learned so much and didn't have to look it up ourselves. Very relaxing day in a uniquely beautiful location. Would love to go again someday.

We met Leopold, our guide with a fist bum-p on a cool October morning at the national park. After 5.5 hours we ended the trip with a handshake and an invitation to call him Leo. We also extended our home to him and his family if he ever wanted to come to the USA. he grew up on the park, has 3 generations of relatives on the park and knows his entire country to give recommendations. Fabulous, that is all I can say. Best of the best.

I have had guides at parks and points of interest all over the world. Our Plitvice guide, Nikola, was easily the best ever. He was informative, interesting and funny. He spoke remarkably good, easily understood English and brought the whole lovely experience of the park to life. Plus he knew where all the best photo spots were and where to sit on the boat and the bus - things you’re not always sure about if you’re self guided. All in all we had a fantastic visit to the park thanks in large measure to Nikola. World class!

We really enjoyed our visit to Plitvice. A couple of us had been there but not with a guide. Our guide was great.
The only negative was no communication from anyone as to where to meet. We lost valuable time locating our guide . We went to the second entrance in error which had her waiting and us having to park in one area and then in the other area.

The park is amazing and definitely a must see.
Our tour guide has been very nice, but actually we did not get any additional value from the guided tour. As it is stated on the Viator homepage it sounds like the train and boot is part of the tour. Though actually it is already part of the entrance fee! Therefore the amount we paid for the tour for us was not value for money. It was a nice walk but we did not get any further insights to the park that we could not have also read ourselves.
Sorry, but for us the private tour was definitely not worth the money.

We recently took a private guided tour of Plitvice Lakes with Nikola. The reason we did so was because I had a total knee replacement last year and am still having trouble with steps and hills. I thought a guide could help us to choose a route which would not be too demanding for me. Nikola was excellent and very thoughtful in organising the tour so that the parts which would be challenging for me were minimized and I had chances to rest. He ensured that some sections were achieved by boat, bus and a vehicle he arranged for us, and that I did not have to stand too long in queues, as standing is also very hard for me. He picked up our tickets and met us at our accomodations. His explanations and descriptions of the area were extremely interesting and informative. We came away with an excellent understanding of the way the ecosystem works and a deep appreciation of the natural beauty of this stunning national park. I could never have done the walk without his help, and am so glad I decided to ask for a private guide who would understand my limitations and help me to have a wonderful experience in spite of them.

Ivan was an excellent guide , on time to pick us up, he answered all of our questions and pointed out sights along the way. He was willing to stop if we wanted any extra photos or needed a bathroom break. He does many tours and will customize for what you want. I highly recommend him, you won't be disappointed!

Nikola is just THE GUIDE you want to have.
He had my husband and three teenagers entertained.
Lots of useful info, he has known the area for more than 10 years and can talk about lots of things and topics.

Despite heavy rain this day, it was a pleasant experience. Our guide Ivan did a great job in leading us, avoiding flooded areas and still letting us see all the beautiful scenery of the park.

gave us everything we wanted. Mario the guide was so knowledgeable and helpful as well as friendly . It's busy at the lakes but the guide meant that we weren't really affected. The lakes themselves are incredible. Highly recommend
