Interesting 3 hour eating and sightseeing tour by Tuk Tuk through Colombo with our guides Faizar and Safraz. Highlights of the food were the hoppers and the crab curry and the beef samosa. More than enough variety and quantity for even us voracious men !

Faizur is a fantastic tour guide, I felt like I was being driven around Colombo by a friend, being shown and given some of the best food I have eaten. From short eats, to spicy seafood and kotthu roti, all were fantastic and did not disappoint. Faizur also was very knowledgeable about Colombo and Sri Lanka, I learned so much and had a great time.

A super interesting tour with our tuktuk guide Ranil and our friends’ guide Fazir. We stopped at plenty of places for delicious local food. We didn’t see another tourist anywhere. Ranil and Fazir were knowledgeable and fun to be with! Overall this was an excellent tour!!!

Fiazer and Ranil were great
They arrived on time with their tuk tuks
They showed enthusiasm, friendliness and passion about their jobs
In addition to showing us different foods, they even did some sightseeing stops of the city. City lights make it much prettier in the night

We took the Zoom local food tour by tuk-tuk with guide Mohamed on our very first day in Colombo. What a fantastic start to our Sri Lanka trip! We sampled seven completely different delicacies in places we would never have found on our own. There were three different equally delicious hoppers, very tasty blue crab, a real highlight, kottu, street food on the beach, samosas, a delicious king coconut, and finally, a delicious dessert. We were able to do an extensive tea tasting and try some amazing spices, especially the fantastic cinnamon. As die-hard coffee drinkers, we were amazed at how different tea can taste. We were given time to smell and taste everything at our leisure. We ended up buying five different teas, cinnamon, and mace, everything of excellent quality. This first glimpse into the world of Sri Lankan flavors was a real eye-opener. The food tasted fantastic, wonderfully aromatic, and moderatly spicy. Mohamed was a great, funny guide who had a lot of interesting stories to tell about Sri Lanka and Colombo. He took us to all the major sights. A highlight was the visit to Galle Face Beach, where Colombo families and friends meet on Saturday evenings, stroll, and, of course, eat delicious street food. We highly recommend the fun tuk tuk Zoom local food tour.
