(Due to parking regulations by the Tourist Police, we are unable to pick up by Tuk Tuk from the Port entrance. Instead, one of the drivers will escort you from the Kingsbury Hotel Colombo ( From Port entrance to Kings Bury Hotel Colombo 2 km )

The tour, while acceptable, did not meet some of the advertised features. It was, to some extent, impacted by a religious holiday and closed markets. Some featured stops were not covered and the method of transport was in tuk tuks ( no wifi, no refreshments ) and was late starting due to confusion by the operator regarding the pick up location. The provided lunch at local restaurant was very good. The tea shop visit was vey disappointing due in part to the large group of other visitors.

Not much food involved, more tea, coffee and temples. Guide did not speak much english. Pleasant trip but not what we were expecting

The lunch was good but we did not get any of the snacks mentioned (only received a small amount of fruit) we also got taken to a gem shop .
For the price I would not recommend.

I had Thairu as my tour guide, and he was hands down the best guide I had in Sri Lanka! He’s incredibly fun to be around, has a great sense of humor, and knows so much about the sites. He even adjusted the itinerary to make sure I got to see everything I wanted.
At one point, I lost the back of my earring, and he actually searched the streets until he found it! When our tuk-tuk broke down on the way home, I was ready to grab an Uber, but he insisted on personally escorting me back in another tuk-tuk.
I can’t recommend him enough—if you’re considering this tour, definitely go with Thairu!

Unfortunately this experience was getting driven around the city without a lot of interaction. The guide wasn’t much of a guide at all and took us around to different spots, albeit very cool areas but we were expecting an actual guide to chat to and learn about the food and culture. Our guide spent most of his time talking on the phone while we walked around from place to place. It didn’t seem like an a very well organized company. I would book elsewhere for a better experience.

Had a fabulous city/ food tour today, I booked in the morning after realising it was a public Bank Holiday. So the tour operator did a revised itinerary due to a couple of places that were closed for the holiday, he sent me the tour in advance for my approval before I booked and paid.
My tour guide Asiri was wonderful
Although I'd been sent a list of tour stops, and food I'd be trying. Asiri was very flexible I could skip certain places or stop if I spotted something of interest.
It was alot of fun.
I wasn't rushed at all, and could spend as much time as I wanted at each stop I was picked up at 3.30pm from my guest house, and was still out sightseeing at 10pm....
Would definitely recommend.. 5 stars

Ridiculously overpriced. I've been on food tours around the world and it's one of my favourite things to do. But this is hardly a food tour. We spent 80% of the time in a Tuktuk. There was not much to try or eat at all. Our driver looked like he was winging it the whole time. Made me feel like theres nothing to actually try in Sri Lanka.

Pradeeptka was amazing showed us so many places in the city, all the highlights, markets
He explained the history very in detail. Great local tour guide. The food wow - we were so full by the end, could barely move, he talk us to areas where the locals eat, food was truly fabulous-thank you pradeeptka

The tour operator affectionately named "Bob Marley" was on time and offered a cool coconut water refreshment on arriving. Start of a good food adventurer. Even though the tour primarily focused on street food experience, he was more than willing to stop and visit key sites like the Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim temples. Also stopped at a local family owned tea house where you get to sample as well as optionally purchased loose tea. When it comes to street food, you get a wide variety to taste so make sure and go on an empty stomach! Doing the tour via tuk tuk is a nice touch to experience getting around like a local.
Note - The tuk tuk had an unfortunate mechanical failure. However, he made ever effort to get back on track, apologetic and coordinated with other drivers to make the evening end on a good, full eating note.
