Fun outdoor experience and a small group. We rode to see a beautiful temple, had a few stops along the way to look at the beautiful views and learn about the area. We stopped at a food cart for some delicious fried pumpkin and banana; I guess the woman that makes it is well known and people come up there specifically for her cart. Our tour guide was the owner of Buzzy Bee, friendly and knowledgeable. Bikes were new, well maintained. Hilly ride but an Ebike makes that easy to handle. Lunch was provided and was so delicious! We recommend this tour.

This is a great way to get out of the city and enjoy nature. Rice fields, bamboo, teak trees, plumeria…so much to take in. Definitely a hilly ride, but with an electric bike it was super easy even for two retirees. It was nice that they ended the tour with a homemade meal of pad Thai (they heard us sting how much we like that dish). The only think I would have changed is the weather which was completely out of their control. I would have rescheduled for a sunny day if we could have.

Weather is indeed the only thing we cannot control. If it's really bad we try to reschedule. The amount of rain and the unpredictability are very uncommon for this time of the year. And still no sunny days since you joined ;-)

We had an amazing e-bike adventure through the back county roads around Chiang Mai. Our guide Hockey, was excellent. He was personable, funny and knowledgeable. Our tour was as described. No surprises. They picked us up at our condo and took us south of the city to their property which is away from the traffic. Our bikes were brand new fat bike e-bikes and they worked very well. We live in Kelowna BC and love to bike and this experience didn’t disappoint. The route was a mix of flat and rolling roads. The route was a loop that wound through fruit orchards and the jungle. We stopped at a lovely temple and did the optional hike to the top. We had to climb 900 stairs but the temple and the view was worth it. You can choose to take a shuttle as well. We stopped to look at some rice fields, a temple, and a local food vendor. We then had a nice lunch with the owner-operator back at the property at the end of the ride. The bike ride and the views were much of the focus and we loved seeing this part of the country. The beauty of e-bikes is that you can make the ride as hard or easy as you want. You could choose no assist to full assist if you needed the extra help or if it as really hot out. We recommend this trip to anyone who wants some exercise, like to ride and want to see the country side and a very nice temple to boot. Have fun.

3-4 hours is the time spent on the activity, however there' s significant travel time and squandered time on the tour. We spent about an hour at a temple (one of the adult riders didn't feel well and we had to wait with her for the support van. She was able to wait by herself). The guide spent too much time having private conversations with cyclists, while the rest of us stood around.. He should know how to move things along. That said, the riding was gorgeous and interesting. The bikes were in great condition. Lunch was awful. Again, we had to wait 15 minutes after the meal to go home. I went and fetched the guide.

Good to hear the ride itself was experienced very positive.
A guest feeling unwell indeed led to extra waiting. Unforeseen circumstances we unfortunately cannot influence. We feel responsible for all our guests, so leaving someone alone who is unwell is no option. For the private conversation of the guide we will check and discuss with him, there might be a lesson to learn from it.

We were picked up at our hotel on time. We met other travelers from other countries and had a lovely conversation. Once we arrived, we were given thorough instructions on the use of the bicycles. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke multiple languages. When we returned, we were surprised to find a nice lunch and soft drinks. And we were returned to our hotel on time. Perfect experience. Exactly what we were looking for.

This tour highly exceeded our expectations, we were just hoping to go around town and get to know the place on our bikes but it was much more than that, we went up and down hills and mountains, rice fields, learned about the culture and ate good food, the service and hospitality were outstanding, visited temples and the nature was amazing

The owner happened to be our guide and we went through small hills and curves of road, with some stops en route, and to a temple where we walked up stairs to the viewpoint. During few stops along the way, the owner explained some history of the local place. He was very nice to wait because I was the slow one of the small group. At the end, had a home cooked lunch prepared for the group. I am recovering from food poison so I personally did not eat but lunch looked lovely. Overall, this is a pleasant way to spend a morning. Would recommend this tour to others.

A mixed experience really. The bikes were good and the time cycling in the countryside was enjoyable, however there was a lot of time wasted during the pick up process, at the temple stop and after the lunch before being dropped back at our hotel.
It was explained that the pick up would normally be quicker but it was basically our bad luck.
Joost did provide good information on the tour regarding what we were seeing and the local culture which was interesting and gave a better understanding of the Thai people.
After returning we were served a pleasant lunch but then sat around for a long time before the return to our hotel.

With the current road works in CM, traffic can sometimes be quite bad. We try to estimate as good as possible and sometimes even use a second car while not full, to avoid delays. Hope it will get better again soon.
Regarding the long sit after lunch, we don't want to rush anyone and some people like to take it a bit longer. But thanks for mentioning it, we will try to find a better balance for everyone.

This bike trip was outstanding. Our guide Hockey was charming and funny and did a fantastic job leading us, and explaining various points of interest along the way. Neither my husband and I nor our friend had ever used e-bikes and the team explained how to work with them very well. It was a great time, can’t recommend it enough!

I hadn’t been on a bike in 2 years so was nervous how I would make out ~ the ride was very good, although hilly the assist with the e-bike was perfect. Riding thru the countryside was amazing and I highly recommend the tour.
My only negative takeaway was that I’m a 5’3” woman, 58 years old with some hip flexibility issues, so getting on and off the bike was challenging, as the bikes were too high for my frame, by this end of the ride, I was unable to lift my tired legs over the high bar on the bike, so I had some tip-overs getting off ~ I’d sure like to see the bike company get some smaller bikes for us shorter gals.

this tour was really unique and was a fun way to see chiang mai. However, they completely undersell the ability level to do this tour. The e-bike has limited battery so you’ll still have to pedal and a lot of the trip you’re riding on the side of the road with cars next to you! The tour guide also bikes very fast, it was hard to keep up.
I also experienced a freak accident where three dogs ran across the street right into my bike, throwing me off and hitting my head on the road and injuring my ankle/hip/back. This is not anyone’s fault at all, but just highlighting the potential that you can get hurt.
However, if you are adventurous / athletic I highly recommend this tour

We are very sorry for the dog incident, unfortunately unavoidable when dogs suddenly run out. Never happened before in the six+ years we operate, so the chance is not that big. Unfortunately you were the one who got that small chance.
Of course you have to pedal, that's why it's called an e-bike tour, and not a motorbike tour ;-)

There are indeed cars on the road, as everywhere. But we definitely cannot call the roads you were on busy, although around new year there might be a bit more traffic due to Thai people traveling a lot as well.

Best trip in Chiang Mai….and we’ve done a fair few!!!
Very well organised.
We loved the easiness of the e-bikes (especially the boost button!) and the route we took.
Felt very safe as the roads were pretty empty and we enjoyed some great views!
Our particular highlight was visiting The White Temple! (An optional extra of taking the 900 step stairway to an absolutely stunning temple). Well worth the climb. (If you don’t want to do it you just have to wait at the temple below for extra 20 mins.)
Our guide was excellent (Oki)
He was always checking back to see if we were all keeping up which was reassuring.

Our guide, Joe, was very informative. Since he was himself from Northern Thailand, he provided lots of great historical and cultural info. Bike quality was good, batteries fully charged (though one of our group did run out of power, possibly due to heavy use of assist.) Great scenery, visits to temples. Morning time was definitely the way to go to get slightly cooler conditions (our trip was in late November.) Lunch was simple, but good. Staff was very nice.

Great experience. I was “toured” out and didn’t want to commit to a full day but still had some time to kill so I booked this last minute. It was great. Not only was the tour operator amazing, but I was able to see parts of Chiang Mai that I wouldn’t have seen without it. Fun way to spent a few hours

Pre-tour communications were excellent. After puck-up at our hotel, we were taken to the business location which was lovely. Mr. Pong reviewed safety measures and bike operation. Were were fitted with helmets and gloves and did a short trial to make sure we were comfortable with the bikes. We rode through the rural areas where traffic was minimal, enjoying the scenery. There were a few stops we made for pictures and temple views, biking about 35 km, easily with the e-assist. Lunch was very nice in a local Thai restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our biking and it was nice to see the countryside. Mr. Pong was an excellent guide and I felt very comfortable on the bike.

Dit was de highlight van mijn 7 daagse trip naar Chiang Mai.
Ik werd als laatste opgehad bij mijn verblijf en er waren al een groep van 2 gezinnen en en nog een single reiziger.
Het verdelen van de groep was een aangename verrassing, de 2 gezinnen gingen apart en ik ging met de andere single reiziger met de geweldige gids mee. Dat was echt top geregeld!
Wat een belevenis, echt een leuke Tour. Zeer vakkundig geleid en de stops tussendoor waren echt geweldig.
Volgend jaar boek ik zekers weer en ik beveel dit iedereen aan. Wat een super geweldige ochtend en de “simpele lunch” was gewoon heerlijk en precies genoeg na zo’n tour.
