This experience was the highlight of my trip to Crete! It was more than just a cooking class—it was a journey into the Cretan culture. We visited their farm, learned about their daily life, and even got to milk a goat! The food we prepared was delicious, made with fresh ingredients from their farm. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and passionate about sharing their culture. I can’t recommend this experience enough!

    This was an amazing day...

This was an amazing day spent on a family’s farm. We learned a lot about their own lives and family, how the farm works, the Create style of cooking and how much olive oil is really used! We were with one other family, so a good group of about 12-14 total, made several dishes all together and while they cooked had a tour of the farm, milked a goat (if we wanted to) they had baby bunnies, lots of chickens, all kinds of fruit trees. Just a wonderful relaxing day. Word of caution- as you arrive follow the signs for the farm, not your GPS- ours almost sent us into a man’s house! Same with the other group- Driving in Greece is no joke. Gave us a good joke for later.

    Amazing local farm cooking experience

This was a WONDERFUL experience! The hosts were very gracious and super nice. Certainly a highlight of my Greece trip. The food was delicious and of course all made from scratch. In mid April we had perfect weather, and the view from the farm is amazing. Highly recommended!

    Absolutel Highlight of Our Trip

We just spent one of the most enjoyable and special days in my recent memory. We spent a day at a Cretan family farm in the village of Stylos. The hosts, siblings Paraskevas & Sophia, were wonderful people. The day was Crete personified. Cooking outdoors in the wood fired oven, looking at the sun drenched (yet snow capped) White Mountains. Sipping homemade wine. Milking goats. Chasing chickens. Playing with puppies. Eating. Laughing. The sort of day you don't want to end. My Daughter summed it up best: "Dad, best day ever". These are beautiful people and we wish them nothing but the best with their lives & endeavours. Thanks are not enough.

    This was our favorite day...

This was our favorite day in Crete . From the moment we met this wonderful family we felt as though we had known them a lifetime. Sofia was a fabulous chef and taught us how to make an incredible dinner. We all had a hands on experience with cooking dinner, touring there incredible farm, milking goats, visiting there Yia yia and friends, dancing and singing. I can not say enough. It was a magical night . It is a must do in Crete. Beautiful people, every one of them and fabulous food . 5 stars

    Very good is not enough,...

Very good is not enough, it was real and fantastic! We felt really like part of the family. We started cooking the delicious food with Sofia and Nikos showed us around the village. The family does everything! From beekeeping, wine, raki, the farm, the vegetables, the cheeses and the incredible olive oil (you'll be surprised as I was with their olive oil usage!), everything that you eat is sourced there, it makes a simple dakos (toast with tomato and in this case also a homemade heavenly myzithra cheese) just an out of this world experience! To top it all off, we were joined by the family, and also some other neighbours and friends, (experience which I love as it gives me fond memories). Getting to know the local culture firsthand is something that I love, but personally, it felt super special sharing it with this lovely family who genuinely treat you like you are also part of their family. Mind you, every time we attempted to leave, they brought fruit, or dessert or a delicious raki to celebrate. If you want to meet a real Cretan family, learn about the real Cretan life, then look no further, it feels less of a tour and more like an immersion. I cannot express how much I loved this - a simple afternoon of sharing with a lovely group of people.

The *REAL* authentic Greece culture experience

“The best thing we’ve done all trip” was what my husband said to me after we left the farm. We spent pretty much all day being welcomed into this family’s house/community village and it was everything and more. It was just us and another couple doing the experience. We had a nice slow start with coffees and water and then started the cooking experience. All of the supplies we used was from their local herb garden. We once we made the dish and waited for it to cook and we were welcomed to visit their farm along with the grandmothers house. It was so authentic because it was legit. The conversations created by us the experiencees and the people hosting us was phenomenal. They gave us unlimited homemade wine as well, which my husband was a huge fan of, and he doesn’t usually drink wine haha. Sooo much more than just a cooking class. We spent all of 6 hours with this family and could’ve spent all day with them. Truly so thankful for their hospitality. A memory we won’t forget!

    Amazing food & experience

Authentic experience with multi generational Greek family. Farm fresh vegetable, cheeses. Olive oil and protein 😉. Comfortably paced and your experience can be as enriching as you choose to say ‘yes’ to’.
