You'll receive specific pickup information in a separate email from the local partner (please check your spam folder). All the pick ups from Rethymno old Town will be from the bus stop of church of four martyrs (4 martyres church).

- Pickup begins up to 60 minutes before tour starts and is done from central meeting points near the hotels, only in the areas of Panormo, Scaleta, Adele, Platanias, Missiria, Rethymno town, Atsipopoulo, Kavros Gerani and Georgioupoli
- The 5 to 6-hour trek is challenging. You must have good trekking shoes or at least a sturdy pair of trainers
- This trek is not recommended for children under the age of 8, pregnant women or anyone with health problems
- Swimming suits
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 50 travelers

The easy bus pick up outside our hotel. The safe cool nice bus ride. Pia our guide who was very helpful. The hike was one of the most amazing things I have done. The fresh water and food along the way. The ferry ride home.

They won't take responsibility for not collecting me for the tour I paid for. My screenshots clearly show I am being picked up form my hotel at 6:20am - not a time someone willingly gets up on holiday. No one collected me and when I contacted them via the app they told me I should have checked my emails as this wasn't the pick up location. They won't issue me a refund. As most people, I don't check my emails on holiday. Disappointed to say the least.

The hotel was a minos hotel. The pick up was autoway that's 250 meters from you .because your hotel was not at the beach road where all the pickups are.be serius you want a refund for this!!

hello karla thanks for the review.every person do different time to reach the beach after the gorge normal is 4-5 hours but older people do 6-7 hours so you have plenty time to eat and to go to the beach

Trekking in Samaria Gorge is tiring but definitely worth every minute. It took us around 7 hours to walk down the gorge but we stopped often to take photos because the view is really amazing. You should wear comforable shoes with non-slippery soles because the steps and stones can be very slippery. A water bottle is necessary and luckily you can refill it from the several springs during the hike.
The bus arrived on time and managed to keep the schedule the whole day. Our guide (Jorgos) was very kind and helpful all day. He checked on the tourists from time to time and asked if we had any questions, problems etc. :)

Amazing scenery up top and the gorge itself was epic with many crossings, some rock hopping and others with wooden bridges. This was the highlight of our 1 week trip for sure. Be prepared for a long hike over some rough ground. The valley floor is often pretty exposed to the sun too so gets hot. We took our time to enjoy the views and did 13k (took the bus for the last few due to the heat) in 5.5hrs (we're mid to late 30's). No need to rush either as there is very little but a few bars and small souvenir shops at the end while you wait for the ferry

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Samaria Gorge Trek Full Day. From start to finish everything was like clockwork. We were picked up on time and did not once have to wait for anyone. The driver Nikos was good, and our guide Ingrid was amazing, probably the best guide we have ever had. The trek is not easy, it really gets you on your leg muscles as it is descending 90% of the way. The scenery along the trek is fantastic and you need to make sure you take sometime to enjoy this and stop to admire it and not just look down all the time as this is what you do as one needs to watch your footing all the time with all the loose stones and rocks. I would definitely recommend Viator.

Mooie natuur en prachtige uitzichten tijdens de tocht.
En als afsluiter een lekkere duik in de zee als afkoeling.

Wir hatten einen tollen Tag! Die Abholung war 6:20 Uhr.. Recht früh aber für die Schlucht perfekt! Auch Wetterbedingt!!! Hatten zuerst nach der Busfahrt die Möglichkeit in einem Restaurant zu frühstücken bevor wir uns auf den 16km langen Weg durch die Schlucht machten. Geniale Aussichten und toller Weg.
Man sollte allerdings fit sein und gut zu Fuß! Keine kaputten Knie! Unbedingt Turnschuhe! Keine Sandalen oder flipflop 🙈
Sind nach 4,5 Stunden dann am lybischen Meer angekommen und konnten im wunderschönen Meer baden und anschließend noch ein frühes Abendessen am Strand einnehmen.
Die Organisation der Tour war super. Hatten einen netten guide mit vielen interessanten Infos bereits auf der Hinfahrt. Sowohl zur Schlucht als auch zum organisatorischen Ablauf. Schön war es, dass jeder in seinem Tempo durch die Schlucht wandern konnte und wir die Gruppe erst bei der Fähre und im Bus wieder trafen. Sehr individueller Ausflug :-)
