Roger was phenomenal very accommodating, very engaging, was very informative and ensured that we felt right at home I would recommend him as the only driver when you visit Costa Rica you can find him on Instagram @skysolutionscr. Luis @ ATV tours was an excellent tour guide for the rides very knowledgeable and accommodating would highly recommend him when you’re doing this activity.

This experience was great .. we had soooo much fun riding the Atvs .. especially myself because this was my first time. Everyone was very nice and accommodating.. BUT the add stated that there will be snacks ( seasonal fruit.. there was none .. when we got there we were asked to pay additional 200$ per Atv for insurance which is refundable or just ab additional 20$ per Atv for insurance .. which would have been ok if we would have known ahead of time . It was said by the staff that’s it’s on the website , but I didn’t see it must’ve been In the fine , fine print.. no one likes unexpected fees.. let us know in bold on the website in the beginning so we can factor in the cost .. no need to be misleading .. if we really want to do the activity we will still pay! .. other than that it was a very invigorating experience , we had fun it was a little scary on my behalf because I’m a first timer but I pushed through .. I will definitely do it again but not tomorrow lbs ..

We had a great time on this ATV adventure! One of us had trouble turning the ATV, but the company was flexible to offer us a buggy as some of us still wanted to drive the ATV. Beautiful views as we went through fields of cattle and horses, the water and the beach. Amazing experience and our guide was spectacular, making sure we were safe, taking pictures, and pointing out macaws and other animals on our drive.
With our first time doing this adventure was amazing. Would definitely do this again and recommend other to do this

We are TOP Costa Rica Experiences!
The atv ride is literally around a private farm lands. The instructors are nice but please know ithis is not jungle or the beach. And there is a $300 refundable deposit per atv or their charge of $20 to use their insurance which is not refundable. So be prepared to choose. Also from San Jose the drive is 2 hours or more both ways so you only get 2 hours maybe of atv.

Thank you for your comment Brandy, you're right partially, the deposit is around $200 and is instantly released after the tour. Optional you can add full cover insurance to protect the vehicle.

The “jungle” is private land and didn’t really see any animals besides the usual iguanas. I gave it a 3 because I booked ATV but they didn’t give me time to practice and it doesn’t seem like they were willing to go slower because the other group had a buggy, so I got moved to a buggy too. It was kinda boring.

We will do an investigation of your tour, because I don't see our tour in your description, in our activity you cross Rivers, go to a mountain summit and then down through the mountain, of course, using off-roads, it is not possible to enter the rainforest using ATVs.
If our guide gave you a Bugge, it was to keep you safe, this happens when we detect that the traveller does not fit the skills to drive our ATVs.
Keep in mind that the Bugge is twice the price of an ATV, to offer this option is not a good deal for us, but for us, your safety is a priority.
Once again, we appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to better meet your expectations in the future.
Riding ATVs are fun. However, there were barely any sites. We rode through the back roads of a farm. No rain forest, just dirt roads and a couple of puddles in the beginning and one look out spot. A dusty ride, so prepare to dress ready for dirt, cover up from head to toe recommended. There were no snacks provided, we did not see any wildlife or cross the bridge to view the crocodiles. What they fail to mention is a $200 deposit is required when you get there and the cost for transportation is outrageous. We stopped at a small beach for about 15 minutes. Literally, this is solely riding an ATV tour for under two hours. Highly disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you found the ATV ride enjoyable. However, we apologize if your experience didn't meet your expectations in terms of sightseeing and amenities.
Regarding the lack of sites, our ATV tour primarily focuses on exploring the beautiful countryside and off-road trails rather than dense rainforest areas. In Costa Rica, no one can drive in national parks. We regret any misunderstanding about the stops included in the tour, particularly the visit to the Tarcoles River Bridges for crocodile viewing. Please note that this stop is not part of our tour itinerary; however, it's conveniently located on the way to our park if you are coming from San Jose.
I highly recommend using our transportation next time, our drivers stop and point out the crocodiles from the bridge.
As for the snacks (We do not offer Snacks during this tour) and wildlife sightings, we're sorry that you didn't have the opportunity to enjoy these aspects during your ride. Nature is nature we can not call animals to show up when we want to see them. This can also vary depending on the tour schedule, we recommend mornings to have more opportunities, but do not forget that this is an ATV tour, not a National Park hiking.
Regarding the deposit requirement, when you rent a car, you will be asked to present a CC, this is the same process as your renting a vehicle.
Lastly, transportation costs, you didn't pay for it, and you are not obligated to pay for it, you can use Uber or a Taxi, they are even more expensive than us, and they are not tourism drivers.
It was amazing! We had so much fun going out there. It literally felt like an adventure. I just wish it was a bit longer 🥲
Such a fun experience! Our tour guide Andres made sure to point out any animals he saw during the trip and made sure everyone in the group had a great time! One of our smaller group members had trouble driving/turning the ATV so he paid extra attention to make sure she was able to still safely enjoy the trip! Expect a fun but bumpy ride!

It was fun. Make sure you dress for the occasion. If you’re riding full speed through muddy water u wanna be covered up. My boyfriend came back muddy. Lol. Bring your own lunch or bring money for one of the resturants. They could do better with providing a better snack.

Our guide Nelson for the ATV was THEEEE BEST and made our excursion sooo much fun 😀!!!!
The alligator portion of the excursion was not what I expected as I thought we'd see them a little closer or on a boat thru the river with a guide. There was no guide only a bridge to walk across but it was a beautiful view nonetheless

Hello Tamecia, you're right, as the description on our website shows, we stop at the Tarcoles River Bridge to look at the crocodiles in their environment. A boat tour is not included. However, you're presenting a good opportunity which we can create. We will keep this in mind to bring out a new tour from San Jose.

My friends and I had a blast with our tour guide! The waterfall and the beach was beautiful! We were able to drink the fresh water from the spring.

The overall ATV experience was good but we only road ATV for an 1 hour and a half it was supposed to be 2 hours. Also we did not get to see the crocodile hotspot, I was upset about that.

Driver was a cool guy. A bit talkative, but all in good vibes. The trip was long to the Caribbean coast so be prepared for 3 hours each way minimum. Pura Vida!

I think you are confusing us with someone else, we are not located in the Caribbean area and our driving time from San Jose is only around 1.5hrs.

Wow!! This was awesome! We ended up driving from San Jose to the first part of the pacific coast about an hour out. The trip was so worth it because we were able to ride the ATVs through a rainforest, by a waterfall, on the beach, and in a river! It was a perfect length of riding and accompanied with beautiful views. Our guide was super helpful and assisting with any ATV questions. Our driver stopped us by a crocodile spot, a free lunch love with delicious food, and a cute souvenir shop as well. Not enough nice things to say about this day - I felt like a kid again handling the ATV! Also the guide also took pictures by the waterfall and has a professional photographer in the river if you want to purchase those images.

This was a good overall tour. Our tour guide was amazing and made sure to keep up with my husband and I during the tour. It was just us two. We wore shorts for the ride(because we didn’t know better) and I ended up with a 2nd degree burn on my calf from steam that came from the water hitting the hot engine. They should recommend long pants for this tour or suggest that people in shorts rent the long boots that they have to keep this from happening. The burn I received is very painful and I’m sure will leave an ugly scar. Otherwise tour was good

I'm very sorry to hear about your mishap. We highly recommend renting the boots in case of no ATV experience. It is mandatory in our protocols to explain to our visitors all about the tour in advance, and this was not the exception.
I've checked it with the operation department, and you had said no to the boots. Maybe next time!

This was an awesome tour! the mountain portion is a little scary just because its a natural terrain, but our guide was great and knowledgable (Louise) he had so many jokes and kept us laughing. We saw everything from wild crabs to wild horses, I recommend as this was one of our fave parts.
