I had such a great time both during the hike and the well-earned (and delicious) lunch that followed it! Stunning views, great company and a what an introduction to the world of Korean rice wine; getting to sample some local makgeolli :-) 10/10

Very nice hike, we learn a lot of things. Our guide was very friendly and talked to us with everything from the history of the site to Korean culture topped off with a lovely lunch and some traditional liquor!

Great hike on the most perfect day in Busan. We had clear skies and the most accommodating host. The food made mountainside by the Korean grandma was def my highlight! Would recommend this tour to anyone

Was a great experience, able to see the ocean and Japan in the distance on a sunny day! Would recommend if you are looking for a hike with good views and good food!

Great excursion away from the tourists

This hike was approximately 6-7 km, steep and rocky in some areas and I would recommend wearing shoes with good traction. The lunch was delicious and authentic. If you are looking for more of a local experience, this is your excursion. When we were finished, Hug-you went out of his way to lead me to a pharmacist and act as an interpreter, saving me much time and aggression. Truly a kind person. Thank you Hug-you for a fabulous morning.

Hiking with our guide Junwoo is amazing! He is knowledgeable and have a pretty great sense of humour throughout the tour. The lunch towards the end of the tour (Makgeolli, seafood pancake, and noodles) was very delicious.

Authentic, away from tourists tour

This is a little gem of a tour, away from the crowds of tourists. It starts by catching a local bus from the meeting point (Tmoney card needed). The tour guide was responsive, calm and friendly. The short but hilly hike in the woods was invigorating. The scenery is just gorgeous. The lunch spot is an authentic tent cafe where Koreans come to eat, cooked by a lady who grows her own veg.

Jun was amazing. He was so helpful and paced to my speed (though I am fairly certain he could have run up). Gave great information about the local area and even sent me some restaurant suggestions after. It was by far my best thing to do on my trip despite the rain.

Hiking with Hug You was amazing! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side, but we didn't let that dampen our spirits. As well as enjoying the hike, we also had a wonderful cultural exchange. I would highly recommend this hike to anyone. The magkeolli and lunch we had later was another highlight of the day. I'm very grateful for their hospitality. I'll be back!

We had a really wonderful time, hiking and a full authentic Korean meal. Our guide was very intelligent and taught us a lot of historical facts along the way. The mountain is not steep but there were areas that had an incline. I don’t work out much but it was doable. The whole experience was under 15k steps.

Highly recommend guide Jun. He was friendly to talk with, adaptable to my fitness level and showed me a few amazing watch tower look-out points that made for great photo ops. The place we stopped for lunch was just perfect! All the ingredients were locally grown and the Makgeolli was delicious. Amazing day out for anyone looking for an alternative activity in Busan away from the hustle.

We really enjoyed our tour. It was a nice small group of four people total. Our guide was great and very accommodating. For lunch it was even possible to revise the food to be vegetarian, which was really nice. Would highly recommend.

One word…Amazing! This small tour is great to get out of the dense tourist areas and into nature. There are fantastic hike is not too strenuous, and there is time to rest and take it slow if you need. There are fantastic views from the lookouts. The lunch after the hike is lovely cooked by a lovely Korean lady who grows all her own vegetables that are used in the dishes. The food was out of this world and was very authentic and tasty. Our guide was so good, very knowledgeable, helpful and kind - we learnt so much in such a small time. Book this tour now! It’s been a highlight for us.

This tour is a must do. Visiting the city is great but getting away and hiking a mountain while learning about the history is even better. Our guide HugYou was so nice and knowledgeable being from a local. He took us to the smallest “restaurant” (mainly just a tent with tables) and we ate the food that grandma had just harvested. Delicious. Truly fantastic experience and I would 100% book again.

HugYou was an amazing guide. I had really great conversations with him and the other person on the hike. The views of the city were really great and the rice wine and food we had in the village after was some of the best I had on my trip. Highly recommend this if you want to do something that gets you out of the city.

Hug-You was a great guide, providing information and insights into the history of the area. We really enjoyed the hike up the hill & the beautiful scenery along the way. The terrain was not particularly difficult, even for us middle aged people. Lunch was a good mix with plenty to eat. We would definitely recommend this trip.

Beautiful hiking trail and view of Busan

I had a great time hiking up Geumjeongsan with Duyeol. I was the only person on the tour, so it was really nice that Duyeol still came out and did the tour with me. The hiking trail was really great because you get to go through a beautiful forest and see a couple historical sites. The views at the top are great! The trail is not too difficult if you’re used to hiking. I really recommend this tour if you want to do some hiking around Busan. Afterwards we went to a small village nearby and had delicious tofu salad and soup made by a very kind granny. We drank the best makgeolli (rice wine) I ever had (and there was a cute little museum next door that explained the process of making makgeolli). Duyeol also gave me a great recommendation for a cafe near the train station. Thank you for such a great tour!
