It was a six passenger van. We were a party of four. You need dexterity to be able to get in and out of the van. The guide was very personable. The shrine was fantastic as was the overlook. But you must be able to climb steps. We had a beautiful day.

A brilliant day out. We were met at the cruise terminal by Finn, who was a fabulous guide. He spoke very good English, was very knowledgeable, and very proud of his country. He took us to some great places, and lunch at the fish market was a wonderful experience. As 4 senior ladies, Finn was very attentive to our needs, and made sure that we were all comfortable. I would definitely recommend this tour.

What an awesome day with Roy! He spoke very good English, and was very knowledge about the history of the area. He planned out an itinerary that not only fit in everything we wanted to see, but added a few things we didn’t know about. The tour of Busan Finn provided was absolutely exceptional! Firstly, he picked us up punctually from our starting point in an impeccable vehicle, and was able to maximize the quality of the tour by continuing to provide information and insights while driving from attraction to attraction. Finn’s manners, courtesy, organizational / communication skills, command of English, and familiarity with interesting facts & information about Busan were superb. The itinerary he had organized was well planned, with good use of time, and a variety that provided something for everyone’s interests. By the end of the day, we were surprised at how much depth of understanding Finn had been able to provide us in a relatively short time. We had a fantastic time exploring Busan with our guide Roy. He provided excellent communication as to our meeting place and meeting time. He was able to adjust our itinerary due to it being a very windy day, enabling us to have the best possible experience despite the wind. We thoroughly enjoyed every stop and every experience. The Haedong Yonggungsa Temple by the sea was spectacular. The Korean BBQ was excellent. The UN Memorial Park was serene and a beautiful tribute to the sacrfices and help of UN forces soliders. It meant a great deal for me to visit here. While my father's Army unit didn't reach Korea, his unit was at the ready in Italy waiting for deployment orders. The Korean Conflict has fewer memorials so it was nice to be assured my Father's service was appreciated. Roy was professional and sensitive to the needs of the group. Pick up and drop off at the cruise port was easy and without any difficulty. Thank you Roy for sharing with us your knowledge, expertise, and culture.

Our time in Busan was truly memorable. While the coastal winds certainly made their presence known, they did little to dampen what turned out to be a fantastic experience in South Korea’s vibrant seaside city.
From the colorful hillside charm of Gamcheon Culture Village to the sweeping ocean views at Haeundae Beach, Busan offers a beautiful blend of culture, coastline, and character. The dramatic cliffs and temples overlooking the sea, especially Haedong Yonggungsa, made for unforgettable moments, even with the breeze rolling in from the water.
A special highlight of our visit was our exceptional tour guide, Finn. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the day. Finn brought the city’s history and culture to life with context and storytelling that made each stop more meaningful. His professionalism and warmth elevated the entire experience, and we felt well cared for from start to finish.
Wind aside, Busan impressed us with its energy, beauty, and hospitality. We would absolutely return, perhaps with a slightly calmer forecast, but with the same great guide if we’re lucky enough to have Finn again.

Tour guide Finn was wonderful!! He was very knowledgeable about all the areas we went to. He was friendly, personable, and anticipated our needs, (bathrooms, suggesting alternate navigation when faced with stairs, umbrellas available to us when rain came through. We joined the Busan shore excursion with Korea Go Tours during our cruise stop, and overall it was a well-organized and enjoyable way to experience the city’s highlights. Our guide was friendly, professional, and kept us on time throughout the day.
The tour began with a visit to a beautiful seaside temple, peaceful and scenic with lovely views of the ocean. Next came the Oryukdo Skywalk, where the glass platform offered dramatic views of the cliffs and coastline. We then stopped at Lotte Mall for lunch and shopping — a comfortable and convenient break, though I would have preferred a meal at a more traditional, local restaurant to get a better taste of Busan’s culture and cuisine.
In the afternoon, we explored the Jagalchi Fish Market and Gamcheon Culture Village. Both were interesting, but it would have been ideal to visit the fish market earlier in the day when it’s at its most lively and bustling. Gamcheon, with its colorful hillside houses and murals, was a perfect final stop for photos and a stroll.
The transportation was clean and comfortable, and the tour was efficiently timed to fit our cruise schedule. Overall, a great introduction to Busan — a mix of scenic views, cultural sights, and modern stops. With a few small timing tweaks, it would be a five-star experience.

However, because of Busan’s traffic conditions and geography, we always begin with the East Busan course (Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and Oryukdo Skywalk) and visit the West Busan area (Jagalchi Market and Gamcheon Culture Village) in the afternoon. This route ensures a safer and more efficient return to the cruise port.
Also, while Jagalchi Market may appear quieter in the morning as vendors are still setting up, it becomes more active and lively later in the day — which is why we schedule it for the afternoon.
Regarding your kind comment about the lunch venue, I’ve shared your feedback with our guide team so that we can better balance convenience with opportunities to experience more traditional local meals in the future.

Great tour and tour guide who is very enthusiastic about Busan which was really nice as tourists. Our guide showcased Busan and we had a full day filled with many interesting stops from museums to cultural centers to the UN Memorial cemetery. Unfortunately, as there was so much to see we ran out of time to visit the market square and fish market. Time management by the tour guide would have assisted in ensuring that guests keep to timing so as to allow all guests to see as much as possible. Overall, a great tour.

In a nutshell : this is how to pack in as much of Busan as possible into a single day ! We had a great guide in Amy, and a very comfortable “people carrier” to take us round the bustling City of Busan whilst visiting on a cruise for a single day. There were only 6 in our group which meant that we could get round quickly, and avoid the larger tour groups. It is a very varied tour : shrines & temples, to fish market and chaotic shopping streets, the colourful Gamcheon culture village, the Cloud bridge and more.
Busan is a great City and Amy’s knowledge and passion made her the perfect tour guide for us to see and learn so much about Busan in a single day. If you have limited time, or have only one day in Busan, I would highly recommend this tour, as we couldn’t possibly have squeezed more into our day, which was verified when back on ship and speaking with fellow passengers who had chosen others options.
