A wonderful way to see the beautiful city of Bordeaux and to learn about its history. Helen, our guide, was so knowledgeable and also gave us suggestions of places to see and restaurants to enjoy during our stay. We tasted amazing food along the tour…chocolates, fresh seafood, Iberian ham, and the delicious Canales of Bordeaux among others. Truly one of the best tours we have been on. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Bordeaux. Ann and Ed Gough

Our wine and food tour with Simone was the perfect first-day activity in Bordeaux to learn the area and its unique flavors, history and neighborhoods. Our son and DIL did this same tour a few years ago and referred us to the tour and Simone. We’ve made her a member of our family now :) As we met other travelers in Bordeaux, none of them has the insights to the city or the “lay of the land” like we did, thanks to the tour. We received wonderful advice on using the trams, dinner suggestions and even the other must-visit places that weren’t on the tour. We will look forward to visiting again and referring others to this experience with a true local!

This tour surprised me because I did not know all we were tasting were pieces of desert!! For the cost $$$ of the tour this was ridiculous. The tour guide was just ok!! I did loved the Oysters, but my daughter had no meal since we found out the tour had no other choice but shrimp !! So for my $300 plus charge that is insane !

Fran was lovely and very knowledgeable about the city. Make sure to be hungry, we tasted sweet and savory snacks all along the way as well as meats and fish. Bordeaux has a contemporary vibe even though it is steeped with history…nice to see it through the eyes of someone who has a real connection to the city.

This tour in Bordeaux was a great way to learn much about the city as well as experiencing some small bites and some wine. It’s much more than a culinary and wine tasting tour. We learned a great deal of history and three hours was just the right amount to get a good flavor for, the history of the architecture and the region of Bordeaux. Helen is a great guide and I would highly recommend this tour.
Simona was very knowledgeable about the history of Bordeaux. We visited lovely businesses for a wonderful flavor of the city; canneles, cheese, chocolates, wine and oysters! We tried our first oysters ever at the restaurant she chose for us! She was sweet and kind and spoke English fluently, which we appreciated!

Even though it was a public holiday in France on the 8th May our guide Helen gave us a fantastic tour. We experienced an olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting at 'Oliviers & Co' and who knew there was so much variety. Then we moved onto fish tasting at 'la belle-iloise' before ending with wine and cheese at world wine store and art gallery 'Feral'. This all mixed in with visits to shops selling local sweet treats Caneles, Dunes Blanches and Classic Moyen's and much much more. It was a fantastic day and we wouldn't have experienced the history of the city without Helen's help. 10 out of 10 and we look forward to returning to Bordeaux one day soon
