A visit to this rare ecosystem wasn't complete without Hector. We were told we could see bears, eagles, deers and much more, but no promises. Well....... I guess we got the whole package. Within 10 minutes of entering the park we saw a young deer and an Andean bear right in front of us. It didn't stop there, Eagles, hummingbirds, plants, the view, the drive but especially Hector's keen eye and encyclopedia size brain that completed the day. 10 out of 10 would go again.

What an amazing day out! We got picked up from the hotel, driven to the park (with a bonus stop for local arepas). The guides were super friendly and so knowledgable. We did a hike in the park & stopped for a bit of photography and we even saw an eagle on the journey on the way back. It was a truly genuine experience, the guides were just as excited about the wildlife we saw as we were.

Très bonne journée. Le guide m'a proposé de reporter au lendemain pour avoir le privilège d'être seul avec lui, et c'était très apreciable. Un vrai luxe de quitter l'agitation de Bogotá pour trouver le silence sur la terre ancestrale des Muiscas. J'ai eu la chance d'observer l'ours et diverses autres espèces dont un colibrí qui me surpris alors que nous regardions une fleur sur laquelle il vint butiner. Et le guide, Héctor, a été parfait. J'ai ressenti sa passion pour sa terre et la nature. Merci pour cette journée mémorable.
