One of the best tour in...
One of the best tour in Bogotá, not sure if many people know about it, but definitely worth doing it, the tour guide was amazing, probably one the best ones I ever did.

I went in knowing nothing...
I went in knowing nothing about coffee production and this was perfect for me. Started right from the plants in the ground with the chickens walking around and finished drinking coffee and rum. Highly recommend.

Dream that came true
I have learned a lot and the process of planting the beans all the way into roasting the beans and everything was explained so fully it was a beautiful experience and I will never forget it I really enjoyed everything about the place the next time I'm going to stay at the hacienda because it has culture

Amazing Tour experience
Learning about coffee preparation from harvesting to roasting is quite an experience. Liliana from Hacienda Coloma is very informative and Camilo from Gran Colombia Tours is exceptional.

Tiring day for a short tour
If you want to do this tour you need to understand upfront that it takes 2.5 hours to get there (traffic is very very heavy, and the mountain road is very twisty). The tour takes about 1.5 to 2 hr to complete. And then it will take about 2.5 hrs to go back home. It was a long tiring day. The Coffee plantation is set up for tourists only. They were friendly. It's a nice tour, but probably nothing you can't learn through you-tube. The host was only there to chaperone. She spoke great english, but was not needed for the tour. Would not repeat tour.

Very educational overview of coffee and also Columbia!
I had a day to do something different in Bogota before my friends arrived, so I arranged a solo trip to the coffee plantations. I was prepared for the 2 hour drive each way and bad traffic as described, the time went by very quickly because the wonderful guide Gigio gave a very extensive and detailed lecture on the history of Columbia, he has an encyclopedic brain and explains things very well in clear English. Viewing the city and countryside over the mountains was socially interesting and beautiful in the urban paths and green hills. The guide at Haciena Coloma was kind and took time to explain everything well, they are a smaller "boutique" company that cares for the coffee production themselves at every stage, so you can see clearly how coffee is grown and processed, I learned a lot! They have convinced me to go back to grinding beans and avoiding additives, so it is a life changing tour :). They have a nice shop with a chance to get and try coffee liquor and some craft gifts. I learned so much and had a nice typical "high calorie" common meal on the way back, learning about the traditional meals at a typical restaurant. The driver Andreas was very good and kept us safe, I can recommend this tour to anyone!

Great education
I learned a lot about the cycle of coffee production from planting the beans to harvesting the first cherries three years later

Authentic and fun
This was a great day trip. Due to the fact that travel through the city has lots of traffic the car ride was long but the tour itself and the guide, Luis, and the driver were amazing.

Loved it
The whole experience is really nice, we learned aq lot about coffee and the process. The guide knows what is she doing and you can tell she knows everything about the subject. Was a lot of fun too. Loved it.
Thank you Gaviota :D

Leslie Excellent guide
Leslie was an excellent and interactive guide. She will make sure you get a holistic experience of your trip. We also had the chance to visit the fruit market of fussasuga which added extra fun to our itinary.

Fun and interesting coffee farm trip!
Our tour guide, Nataly was amazing. She talked to us about Colombian culture, played tongue twisters with us and taught us a few sayings on the 2 hour car ride to the coffee farm. Once there, even though she handed the actual tour over to an expert at the farm, she fully engaged and participated as we did (e.g. picking coffee beans). She was very attentive and would answer any questions and often asked if we needed anything during the ride. We loved her!
