A fabulous tour. Amazing venues and food. Drinks were also paired well. Loved Elle as our guide, she also gave us a bit of history of the island, adding pictures to help us visualize the past. I highly recommend the tour!! Food was always ready when we arrived, tasting wonderful.

Ellie and Kamakea were excellent tour guides with the perfect entertaining wit and knowledge of each tasting. We loved the food and the walking. I highly recommend the tour. You’ll learn so much about downtown and the many different flavors. My fave was the avocado fries but it was all good!

Kai and Keli were a delight!! As was all the food we tried. I had never had poke before and was pleasantly surprised! We loved the history and nostalgia at The Kona Inn, as well as the Mai tai. Fried avocado was also a first and we loved it! My husband, who normally does not like avocado also liked it! Fish and chips with ono is was the best I’ve ever had. And the gelato was also the best I’ve ever had!! I wish we would have done this tour on our first day so we knew where to eat and drink for the remainder of our visit. It was a very enjoyable tour and we highly recommend it!

Ellie was a great host and the tour was very well organized. She provided a good balance of local history and lore as we tried various local foods and drinks. Each spot was ready for us as we got there, and one even had a drink that was created especially for this tour that was so popular that it’s now on their menu! Ellie also walked us through the farmer’s market and introduced us to a bunch of local fruits and vegetables that I will definitely be returning to buy and try. I am definitely glad that I did this tour on the first day of my trip bc I knew exactly where I wanted to go for several meals throughout the rest of my stay in Kona. Logistics wise, I will also mention that Ellie was excellent at working with me and letting me know what to expect when I mentioned when registering for the tour that I am diabetic. She reached out to me specifically to make suggestions (like bring extra insulin if I wanted to be able to eat/drink all the things), as well as made some recommendations on how to get to the meeting spot, since I was staying quite a bit further from the starting point than I realized when I booked it.

I had a fantastic time today with Kai and Kamakea. I was a little worried being a lone traveler in a group of couples but everyone was super friendly. The food was excellent and I learned a lot too. You have to do this tour.

At first when i wasn’t sure I wasn’t going to like this tour but the tour guides were amazing learned so much about Hawaii. I’m a person who has never liked fish but this tour definitely changed my mind the food was amazing. When we got to the first restaurant the food was already at the table the drinks were amazing. When I had my first bite it left me needing more. I love fish now it was so fresh and the fish and chips were so crispy I wish we had more I highly recommend this tour.

The Kona walking food tour was great. Perfect mix of history and food. We tried 6-7 different eats and 4 different drinks. The guides were great, very personable and answered all the questions we had. Would highly recommend!

This was a great tour and a great way to find new places to eat. The food, drinks, company and tour guides were all great. It was nice that we got to sit down at each place and enjoy the food and drinks. I have been on tours like this before when they made us stand the entire time. This was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon in Kona. We would definitely do this again. Be sure to some with an appetite - you won’t go away hungry!
