We can’t say enough good things about Trond, our guide. He picked us up promptly at the designated time - as we departed from Bergen that was zero dark thirty :) Trond was very engaging and knowledgeable. While my wife and I are experienced hikers and came prepared for a serious hike, Trond had some backup gear and even snacks had we, like many people we saw, did not have what was needed for an all day hike (note: this isn’t part of the advertised service, so I’d advise coming prepared).
Along the hike, Trond knew the good places to stop for photos and even a couple of shortcuts. He quickly figured out our pace and kept us cheerful and engaged for the entire hike. On the way back, e we did stop for one waterfall.
I can’t say enough good things about the experience. It’s been a bucket list item for my wife for many years and her years of joy once we got there warmed my heart.
Yes, this is a little spendy. Yes, you can do it yourself but I assure you that going with a guide will make the experience much better
