This was a great tour. There were four of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed this ride out of Belfast to the Causeway. The country is beautiful. We had plenty of stops and our driver told great stories about the history of Ireland. The bus was comfortable with plenty of legroom. He pointed out sites as he drove and we also stopped at the walls in Belfast to take pics before heading back to our ship. Our guide is really why we all enjoyed it so much. Would definitely recommend this excursion!

Just great. A small group and Paul was awesome. Will definitely recommend this tour. All was in time.

Experience was convenient and worthwhile. The bus ride was comfortable. Thank you for the kind service.

we opted for Viator’s tour, rather than the comparable tour offered by our cruise line. It was half the price, but longer and included more stops. Our excellent driver, Stephen, multitask and acted as driver and tour guide. He did a great job, and his mission seemed to be to get his passengers to the site before the other big cruise buses. It worked! We had open viewing of the Giants Causeway hundreds of people poured in.
It didn’t hurt that we had perfect weather. Plenty of time to explore and have a pint in the pub there before heading on for a quick lunch break in Bushmill.
The drive-through the northern Ireland countryside was beautiful and he was a very proficient driver.

Friendly, knowledgeable guides and tour was exactly as described. Wonderful experience and learned so much about Irish history.

Wonderful tour, we'll organized and views were breathtaking. Our driver, Pat was great - informative, funny and attentive. We had a great time!

This tour by Odyssey provided a very good option for visiting The Giants Causeway among other included places. The extra legroom along with smaller numbers was a boon. Stephen guide and driver was both informative and entertaining. His local knowledge proved
advantageous concerning arrival times at the various locations.
Patrick_C, Sep 2025
Guide was involved, loud enough, knew his local info/data and planned ahead for easy access to food and loo facilities. Also, guide gave a balanced and insightful description of the history, timeline, and motivations behind ‘The Troubles”.

Nice trip from start to finish. We were able to quickly find the Odyssey tour buses after debarking our ship in Belfast. The smaller bus (billed as having extra leg room - which it did) gave us the advantage of getting in and out of locations faster than the larger 50+ passenger buses. Given the smaller sized vehicle, our tour guide also drove the bus, which did not affect his commentating at all. All of the sites/stops were amazing, especially Giant's Causeway. Here, we opted to walk to the Causeway versus taking the pay bus (~1 pound), which added to the 4.5 miles that we walked over the tour day. My only (slight) complaint was the lunch stop in Ballycastle. I had hoped to walk through the town and/or along the beach over lunch as indicated in the tour description, but we stopped at a hotel/restaurant that overlooked the town and was not within walking distance of the beach or any shops. The tour covers a lot of ground in 7.5 hours. Recommend for cruisers with limited time in Belfast who would rather see the country side than the city (although we did a quick drive through part of the city and saw the murals).

Our guide was excellent, Steven kept us informed and entertained. He offered excellent advice, and ran the tour efficiently. We saw Dunlace castle and had sufficient time at the Causeway. Saw some beautiful scenery and some historic sights in Belfast and returned to the dock safely and on time.

Our driver Stephen was great. Can’t believe he was driving and talking! He had great knowledge of the area and lots of amazing stories. Loved the personal info and sites regarding Game of Thrones.
Wish there had been more specific instructions on where to meet the bus,” I.e. “right off the ship”! We thought we had to walk about 15 mins down the road.

Hello Robin
Thank you for your review
Great to hear you enjoyed your tour with Stephen
Our information for meeting your bus from the cruise ship states.
Our buses will be waiting for you at the port when you leave the ship. When exiting the welcome tent turn right and you will see our buses and Odyssey Tours signage.
Thank you

The drive along the coast was absolutely beautiful! Giant’s Causeway was great! Our drover pointed out a lot of areas where the Game of Thrones series was filmed which was nice but would’ve loved to stop and have the opportunity to explore them. Overall, very good tour.

Of all the shore excursions we did, this truly was our favorite. The extra legroom coach was so
Comfortable annd so worth the extra money.the tour guide was so congenial and very engaging. He was a great commentator n and communicator the giants causeway was spectacular.

Our cruise ship was to dock in Belfast so I scheduled this tour. I was given the information regarding where to get the tour. Leave the ship and turn right after going through the tent. What I didn't know but the tour operator did know was there are 2 ports in Belfast and our ship docked at Bangor, which the cruise line listed as "Belfast (Bangor)". I've used Viator in the past and have trusted them to provide good information. Since they had our ship name and time of arrival the tour operator KNEW there was no way we would make the tour at 8:00 am from Bangor. I really feel this was a total rip off of tourists who don't know these things. I rely on honest providers to let us know when they can't take care of us. When we called while we were on the doc to see what could be done (other tour operators were coming to pick up their passengers) we were told "nothing we can do about it". We want our money refunded as we feel we were ripped off by a dishonest tour operator .
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hello Peggy
Thank you your review
Bangor is not in Belfast and the fact that the Cruise Line gave you the wrong information is not our fault, accusing our company of being dishonest and ripping you off is a bit harsh as we done nothing wrong. Have you wrote to the cruise company yet accusing them of being dishonest and ripping you off ?. You could have requested a refund and as a gesture of good will we would have given you a refund, there is absolutely no reason for you to make these false claims against our company. We suggest you contact the people who gave you the wrong information and I would not use this Cruise company in future if the captain does not know Bangor is 30 miles outside Belfast, god only knows where he will dock next.
Thank you

Our guide, John, did an excellent job of explaining things and making the tour interesting. Our driver, Tom, also did an excellent job navigating through heavy traffic to get us back to our ship on time.

Odessey tours is the company and some of the busses are smaller and hold maybe 24 people so when you choose this tour see if you can select the smaller bus. The tour guide is the driver and the tour experience depends on how informative and funny the guide is. Ours was informative but could have lightened the discourse with more levity. When you get to the Giants Causeway there is a long walk down to the “rocks” but the walk back up is up hill. You are given enough time to make it back to the bus. The stop for lunch was at a charming little hotel with ample menu sections. This company is well organized when meeting you at the shore when you get off the ship. I recommend going with Odessey Tours.

We had a great day. Got to Giants Causeway ahead of all of the buses, and was able to see the attraction before it got too crazy. We were taken to a lovely restaurant looking over a valley, which had great food. was shown the ocean views on the way back to the ship, and saw the many cities on the way. All in all a great day!

Wonderful experience. First at the Causeway, great advice about everything, efficient tour, no wasted time. Love the guide. It was a great overview of Northern Ireland and the peace wall in Belfast by a local.
Laurie_N, Jul 2025
Wonderful tour. . Some walking but worth seeing Giants Causeway
Great driver/guide charisma and skill.
Randal_M, Jul 2025
Nice small group/more space alternative to cruise ship tour. Just 9 of us on a smaller, faster bus. Driver was waiting and easy to find, and very knowledgeable. Beautiful panoramic view from lunch restaurant stop. Bus ride a little rough on smaller roads
Tom_L, Jul 2025
Excellent tour provided by driver/guide Steven. No nonsense around about the sights and sad history of The Troubles. Smallish bus with less people a big plus.
Candice_S, Jun 2025
Beautiful scenery, a lot of walking at the causeway. Great lunch and quite a bit of time on the bus.
Carol_B, Jun 2025
We arrived early but there were no seats together (2 &2) So the 4 of us ended up in the very back row (we did this on an earlier tour and it worked well). It was very squeaky and noisy and uncomfortable. I reached out to the office and told the driver (he tried to fix by sticking water bottles in the window). The couples in both sides in front of also tried to fix the rattles above their heads. Granted, the roads are terrible and so, hard on the vehicles.
Jim was a good driver/tour guide. We really liked the lunch restaurant where we stopped. Belfast seems like a nice place. Giant’s Causeway now off the bucket list.

Hello Carol
Thank you for your review
Good to hear you enjoyed most of the tour.
The parcel shelf at the back of the bus was loose and rattling, something we were not aware of until it was brought to our attention on the day. Our driver made a temporary fix when the issue was reported to him at the first stop and the problem was resolved. Your husband was impressed that the issued was resolved so quickly. No other problems were brought to our attention by the other couples you refer to, thank you for reporting the faults
Regards

I felt like I was on Game of Thrones. The terrain is so different. Beautiful, but different. It was drizzling, which added to the eeriness. We walked down but took the bus (£1) back up.
Karen_S, Jun 2025
There is a lot of walking, but very with it. It was great weather for our tour. We had a memorable time.
April_W, Jun 2025

The bus was comfortable and clean, and our guide Paul did an excellent job of telling us about the areas as we passed through them. We very much enjoyed the Giants Causeway, and the restaurant for lunch had a lovely view and quite good food. Highly recommend!

Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for your review and recommendation. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your tour.
Shirley_P, May 2025
We are in our 70s and felt very comfortable climbing on top of the stones. Take the time to enjoy the beauty and understand some of the history behind the bridge and especially those gorgeous stones. Our bus was great because it was not too small and not too large. Just perfect for about 15 of us.
Response from Host, May 2025
Hi Shirley,
Thanks for your review and recommendation. Glad to hear you enjoyed your tour.
Madonna_D, May 2025
The guide was great and had so much information to share. Giant’s causeway was beautiful, the place for lunch gun, and the drive through Belfast was very interesting.
