Chaos

Chaos just about sums it up. Tour group leader was nice enough but he took on 50+ participants. Each bar was already packed and then to dump 50 people off at one time created chaos and a huge wait. Only had 30-45 minutes so very pressed for time. There was a little history about each pub presented but little to no information presented about the city, like the architecture and murals. So many people it was hard to even hear the little bit of information that was presented. The large group should have been split up into 3 smaller groups. We left about 1030 after the beginning of the fourth pub. Great for large paries but not smaller groups combined with large parties. Easy enough to visit all the pubs on your own with a smaller group and there would be less wait and more time to enjoy each pub and the music.

Hi Robert, Thank you taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry you didn't have a good night. The crowd was larger than usual but was under 50 people. The plan was to split into 2 groups but everyone seemed to mingle very well with each other so we decided to keep everyone together. To make getting drinks smoother, we brought half of the group in earlier with 1 tour guide while the other chatted to the rest of the group. This seemed to work well as the pubs were relatively quiet for a Friday night. We are predominantly a pubs first pub crawl but we do advertise light history and a short stay in the pubs on the public tour on our website. This is due to the variety of customers we get and we believe this works best for the majority of our customers. We do offer private tours as well which caters to individual groups needs (i.e. longer stays in pubs / more history / more of a city walk etc...), this probably would have been more suitable for your group. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Belfast and safe travels.

A wonderful way to experience the Irish pub culture! Eamonn our host was great ensuring everyone was comfortable and having a good time. The Irish dancing was super!. Really enjoyed meeting new people from different parts of the world. Would recommend covering more historical pubs and the history behind them.

Paddy was an incredible tour guide. He made the night really fun and gave us great history before each bar. He also gave us great recs outside of the tour. The tour as a whole is also great - my only complaint being that the free drinks were quite small, but I don’t think that’s the fault of the tour company. Overall, highly recommend.

Great way to see local culture

Sean was a great guide, very friendly and kept the group engaged. I don’t think I was prepared for how crowded the pubs are so it was a little overwhelming at first. But getting to see local music and Irish dancing was fun and the other folks in the group were really nice.
