A great tour. Our guide, Mylie, was absolutely incredibleâamazing mastery of the subject, engaging delivery, personable and knowledgeable. Wove together the history of Belfast with a great view on the cityâs present.

Wow! James was fab and so knowledgeable on The Troubles. Really good experience and such a friendly guy. Thank you so much.

Incredible. To my shame I was originally dissapointed that our guide Mylie was an American but that changed within the first 30 seconds of her speaking. She really really knows her stuff and delivered it in a very engaging way. Itâs the best city tour Iâve ever done anywhere. I grew up during the Troubles and quickly realised that being English I have only ever heard one side of the story. It was great getting both sides of it on the tour. I really appreciated hearing the individual stories of people as well as the political history. Belfast is a great city but this just put the icing on the cake for me.

Very nice, knowledgeable and emotional guide - nice tour, only weather good be betterđ, but this is November, could not help. Thank you Myllei, sorry if I spelled name wrongly (American lady in Belfast).

More standing and listening than actual walking! If it isnât raining you can often find dry seats. You do visit key locations for explosions and loss of life. It can be very sad.

This was a wonderful experience. We learned so much about that time in Belfast's history and The Troubles. The guide was a young man living in Belfast during that time and had many first hand experiences to share. The tour takes a neutral position and just presents the facts. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of that time

Extremely good value for money! I learnt so much from a really knowledgable and enthusiastic guide. Lovely way to view parts of the city and I would highly recommend! Thank you Miley for a lovely morning :)

Our tour guide was an excellent communicator. He had lots of great information, facts and personal stories that made the history of the area come alive. He spoke confidently and seamlessly as we moved around the city.

Amazing tour! Really gave a glimpse into the religious and political struggles of Ireland and how it shaped itâs history.

Anne was our tour guide and she was tremendous! She was extremely knowledgeable about the subject, well spoken and very personable. She was a little girl when the troubles started so she was able to give a first-hand account of growing up during this phenomenally turbulent time. You are truly blessed to have her as were we.

One of the most interesting and poignant tours. Jim contextualized the history leading to and during The Troubles and left us with the hopeful present and future. Most importantly, as someone who was himself affected by that time in history, he gave a voice and names to the victims. Not an easy tour, due to the subject matter, but definitely an important one.

This walking tour was a highlight of my time in Belfast. Our guide was not only knowledgeable about Belfastâs history, but also passionate in her presentation. I highly recommend this tour, especially on your first day of visiting the city.

Chris gave an unbiased account of the dramatic events that tool place in Belfast during the terror years. Very âinterestingâ to say the least.

Very History Rich tour of Belfastâs troubled past and developing future. Roisin was a great guide! A new appreciation for Belfastâs history (and Irelandâs as a whole) and current political challenges Northern Ireland (or the âNorth of Irelandâ). As a Catholic American of Irish decent I found the discussion to be very neutral and focused on both sides of the issue leaving the participant with all the info they need to draw their own conclusions. I personally think itâs very good that things seem to be working themselves out non-violently and there seems to be hope for the People of Ireland no matter what side of the border they fall on. God Bless.

This was an excellent tour. Our tour guide Rorey was great. His knowledge in the history of Ireland was so good. I would recommend this tour to everyone

A very informative and balanced history of Ireland and the religious and political conflicts of the Troubles.

If you want the chance to learn about Belfastâs history in an expert, neutral and personal way this is your tour.

RĂłisĂn was such a wonderful guide. She was very passionate, as she experienced first-hand, a lot of what she covered during the tour. She made you feel the emotions at the time. She helped me, and our group, really envision what was happening back then. She's a fantastic storyteller. The earpiece and radio helped a lot as well. I truly enjoyed RĂłisĂn and the tour. I've been on many tours in Europe, and this was high on my favorite list. I would definitely recommend this tour!

The guideâs speaker did not work 1/2 way through the tour. He did not have a back up. There were 25 people in the group. He would not speak louder after several people stated he could not be heard. He would gather people around him but not in front of him. He would turn his head and speak to one side and then the other side but he did not repeat himself. He kept telling the story so you only heard 1/2 the story if you were in the front as people in the back still could not hear him. Before his speaker went out he sounded to be knowledgeable. His name was Rory. Looking back I wish I took the titanic tour.

Fabulous tour with a great overview of the history and Troubles of Belfast. James was a brilliant guide with an in-depth knowledge and genuine passion for his job. Would 100% recommend.

A wonderful examination of earlier and recent Belfast history with the added bonuses of a historian and an easy walk !
edward_o, Sep 2025
VERY informative and sensitively handled. I worried that it would be a sensationalist or âhorrorâ walk. Super guide Mylie did a terrific job. My trip to Belfast would have been poorer without this tour.

Very informative tour. It was two and a half hours walk around Belfast but the time just flew by and was over before we knew it. This was down to James our tour guide. He was full of interesting facts and details of the terrible troubles in Belfast. All six of our party enjoyed the day and we all learned so much. Brilliant tour and would highly recommend. Well done James.
