Highly recommend this tour group. And make sure to ask for May. She speaks English and knows her history of China. With her driver, Lu, you will feel safe while exploring the Beijing area. When stopping for lunch, let May order for you. I promise you will not be disappointed.

This is an excellent tour. We had Jenny as our guide for two days and Mr Lu as the driver for one day. The tour was well organised and seamless, with easy communication through out, even with a change we had to make. Jenny is highly professional, with excellent English communication skills as well as knowledge of all the sites we visited. Jenny adapted the tour to optimise our time by not having to stand in long queues. The authentic restaurants Jenny arranged for us to eat lunch at were exceptionally good. Thanks also go to Mr Lu who safely drove us to the Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China. The car was super clean and so very comfortable. A tour we can highly recommend.

Great tour. Wendy was our tour guide and we had a private driver. Wendy was able to show us so many cool places. Sadly Tiananmen Square (where Maos painting is) was closed due to 9/3 80th anniversary WW2 parade however Wendy was able to drive us slowly by it so we could see everything. She gave a very detailed history of every stop. We then went to the forbidden city and other locations after. Since we were able to move quickly we changed a bit of our tour to do everything but the Great Wall the first day. This allowed us to have a bit later pickup and more time at the Great Wall on the second day.
Overall great tour. Would have Wendy as a tour guide again.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this tour. Catherine, my guide, was perhaps the best I’ve ever had. I was only in Beijing for three days so I wanted to see as much as possible and she made it happen. We saw all the popular sites like Tiananmen Square, the forbidden Palace, the Great Wall, the summer palace, and more. She was expertly fluent in English and thoughtfully explained the history and cultural significance of each site. She was able to answer all of my questions and she was clearly very knowledgeable about each one. All of the sites were incredible. They’re so steep in history yet feel so modernly striking, I cherish every moment that I had experiencing them. It was also incredibly convenient to have a private driver as many of these sites are far apart. Our driver was both punctual and courteous. His driving was smooth and very well experienced. I think the tour is a good balance of immersive sightseeing and relaxation in between the sites. If you’re only in Beijing for a little bit or even if you’re staying there for a long time, this tour is absolutely worth doing to see all of the most amazing sites in an efficient amount of time. Definitely request Catherine if you can, she’s an absolute gem who made this tour 10 times more meaningful and memorable.

Our tour guide Jenny was able to speak mandarin with my parents and English with my kids throughout the entire 2 days. She’s very knowledgeable. Very good resource for local culture. Was able to navigate in & out of traffic jams with the driver. Local restaurants selection were excellent! 2 day agenda was very action packed!

We had a great back-to-back days of tours in Beijing. First, Susie was a fantastic tour guide and took us to the Great Wall followed by the Summer Palace. She was very informative and a pleasure to spend the day with. One the second day, Justin led us on tours of Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Hutongs, and Summer Palace. He was great - we learned so much about the city and its history. Could not have had a better set of guides.

We had an amazing experience with our tour!
Our guides, Amy and Spring, were friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about Chinese history. They gave excellent explanations at every site we visited and even offered great suggestions for the days we explored on our own. The itinerary was well-organized, and everything went smoothly.
Beijing is full of incredible sights, and thanks to Amy and Spring, we got so much more out of our visit. We hope to return one day and explore even more of China!

We had an excellent 2 day tour and saw the most important highlights of Beijing. Our guide and driver we excellent. Angel spoke very good English and we found the sightseeing was planned around the best time of the day to see the areas without the crowds. All tickets were booked and we had no holdups at any of the venues. Our driver Mr Yu was always there to pick us up and take us onto the next spot. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and really enjoyed telling the history and customs of China. We would highly recommend this tour. Angel the guide and Mr Yu the driver will definitely give an excellent 2 day tour of Beijing

We had an amazing 2 day private tour with driver in Beijing. Seeing tiananmen square, forbidden city, temple of heaven, Great Wall and summer palace. We had such a great time. Jenny was just the perfect guide, so professional, informative, kind, thoughtful and interested to hear about us and our travels. She was so kind in speaking mandarin with my daughter who is learning Chinese at University. It was so lovely to see her chat in Mandarin. Jenny was just so lovely, very encouraging and teaching her a lot. This really made our trip. The drivers were really friendly and very careful with how they drive. 100% recommend this tour and hope you get Jenny as the guide. We will definitely book with Catherine Lu tours again.

I would especially like to thank the two guides Justin and Luzi, who looked after me very well over the 2 days! Unfortunately, I can't recommend the period (July/August summer school vacation in China). It was just incredibly crowded.
