Bus ride of your life

Kathryn_A, Aug 2025
This is a narrated bus ride to Flydalsjuvet, a lookout point above the town of Geiranger at the end of the Geirangerfjord and also to Eagle’s Bend looking back down the Geirangefjord. There are 15 minute stops to take photos at each location. The narration is by audioguide and ours played for Ålesund, a different city in Norway, not Geiranger - so we were disappointed about that and took off one star. The driver, Aksla, was as skilled as they come and experiencing her fluid navigation of the 11 hairpin turns up and down the mountain was pure driving artistry.

Breathtakingly gorgeous stops

Colleen_w, Sep 2024
2 stops at breath taking views. The hairpin turns made it an exciting ride and appreciation of the areas outside the town. The reason for average review is no tour guide and the provided headsets faded out a lot .

Scary bus ride on narrow, sharp roads

jodiflayman, Aug 2024
This was a very nerve wracking bus ride with many hairpin turns on two narrow steep roads. It seemed like the bus was way too big to maneuver on these roads. At one point the driver had trouble making the turn and the bus stalled and starting sliding backwards. It was pretty scary. There was no guide on the bus but rather we were given headphones to listen to some narration. One we were at the top, the view was very nice but not sure if it was worth it.

Better Than Walking to Get the Views

CharlesE_K, Jul 2024
What you get is needed transportation up the winding and twisting elevation-gaining roads to the two prime scenic viewpoints (Eagle Road and Flydalsjuvet) as well as a tour guide narrative along the way ... Saves time and a huge amount of energy in an efficient way ... a must for seniors to see the sites ... 1.5 hours with 2 stops of maybe 15 minutes each at each crowded crazy viewpoint ...

Good

Maureen_D, Jun 2024
Our trip didn't get off to a great start - we went to the meeting point where a few people were waiting. We checked the information on the app regarding the meeting point and we were at the right place. We tried calling the given number but couldn't get through. We then had a phone call from the tour operator asking where we were. The meeting point had bee changed but we didn't get the email and more importantly the info on the app had not been updated. Once we walked back and found the tour bus the trip was all we had hoped for. Beautiful scenery and plenty of photo opportunities.

Beautiful but expensive

BobBickerton, Jun 2024
Beautiful scenery overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. Headset commentary didn't work properly. The Agent jumped on the bus at the turnaround and provided a great commentary. The driver had excellent driving skill for the winding road. Expensive for the experience.

The bus was an hour and a...

Timothy_Y, May 2024
The bus was an hour and a half late, which caused us to miss the optimal viewing of the fjord. The 15 minutes stop is short. The voice of the English narration is too low, we can hardly hear it. We are dissatisfied with the excursion.

Spectacular scenery

Sandy_K, Jul 2023
Wonderful tour guide, Thomas guided us thru the incredible 3.5 bus ride on narrow roads( for buses) to view magnificent scenery at every hairpin (70) turn. 👍👏👏

Inexpensive tour

EDWARD_G, May 2023
A good tour. Staff and bus on time. At the location indicated. 2 stop audio tour, 15 mins photo stops in each place. Friendly tour operator and driver.

2nd DISSAPOINTMENT TRIAL TO EXCURSION in such famous place

Christos_S, Aug 2022
Our ship MSC GRANDIOSA arrived to Hellesylt in 11.30 ibnstead of 10.00 . There nothing ( ship , ....etc ) transportation mode from Hellesylt to Geiranger . No booking ferries. Also there no return mode from geiranger to hellesylt after 17.00 . YOU CAN BOOK AND PAY , BUT YOU CANT BOOK TO GO AND RETURN . True adventure trip IN 2022 . So we missed this excursion . NOT BOOKING EXCURSIONS without booking transportation. NOT AGAIN .

geiranger, le fjord à voir

ROGER_R, Oct 2024
