We had lovely tour guides and a great day at kangaroo island. My complaint is that the itinerary wasn’t listed so we didn’t get to see some of the things we really wanted to see. A complete list of stops would have been nice to know before booking. But we did have a great time otherwise. The raptor domaine was the favorite thing and learning about the bees was fascinating.

The tour was terrible. It's a commercial tour. It involves a long car journey and ferry ride, and you don't even see the two or three most famous and beautiful places on the island. The timing was off because we arrived at the ferry terminal at 5:30 pm, and the ferry doesn't leave until 7:30 pm. It's a terrible tour because going to such a remote place and not seeing the typical sights is absurd.

I feel like this tour was —overpriced for what was offered—it is a very long day from Adelaide to basically see a bird show (which was good) and a couple of other un memorable sites—we left Adelaide at 6 am and did not return until midnight—if you only have one day to see kangaroo island I would definitely recommend one that goes to the more popular sights.

Friendly staff, very well organised, experienced something different like honey bees, wild birds, wine tasting, eucalyptus tree products, etc. The only regret, we don’t have much time to explore. My suggestion is: maybe try a tour with one night accommodation.

This was a very long day but I thought it was a great day . I know some on the group found too long.
Guide went out of her way to make memories for us, tracking down a koala family snuggled in the trees.
Great wine and food
Appreciated the drop off at the hotel door after a long day

Seeing a koala cross the road & then hang out in the tree watching us! Our tour guide ‘KI Google Will’ was amazing & ensured our day was one to remember!

Get ready for an early wake up because Kangaroo Island is not a stone's throw away from Adelaide ;-) You'll have the chance to se the sun rising on your way to Cape jervis where you will get the ferry to the Island. Nice commentary from our bus driver, who also slowed down to let us see groups of kangaroos gathering in the fields outside Adelaide. Smooth journey by ferry both ways and in Penneshaw started the real discovery of the Island. At Raptor Domain it was really exciting to take part in a free-flight Birds of Prey presentation and we had the chance to see from a really close distance these magnificent birds. Good lunch at the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and interesting tour about the process of extraction of the oil from the plant which grows only on this island. Next stop was the Cliffords Honey Farm where we had the chance to cool down with a tasty ice cream and learn about a very interesting fact: Kangaroo Island is the last place in the world where the pure Ligurian honeybee remains. After that, we headed towards False Cape Wine Cellar, after stopping for a photo (a very quick stop unfortunately, and from the top of the cliff) at Pennington Bay. At the Cellar we had the possibility to taste different kinds of wines (maybe it would have been a good thing to have something to nibble between the different tastings, otherwise the flavours get mixed up by the time you arrive to the last wine). It was then time to go back to Penneshaw to take the ferry again, and once we arrived on the mainland we found the bus that took us back to Adelaide, where we arrived at around 22:00. It was quite a long day, and if you think of doing more than one tour while you are staying in Adelaide, make sure you take some time to rest after a day out like this one ;-)

Waste of time (16 hours) and waste of money ($500). Started on-time at 6 am, 2 hours on a bus, then almost an hour ferry. RT trip Adelaide to Kangaroo Island took total 6 hours. One hour lunch-OK food, but everything (three different salads and meat) were dumped on one plate, so it was hard to taste any particular food. One hour free time at the end, as our bus driver has to dive somewhere. Out of 8 remaining hours we drove from one place to another for another 4 jours. Kangaroo Island was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. Only one stop was worth visiting-the bird sanctuary with a great presentation. Everything else was a joke, for example, how to make plant oil with the majority of time devoted to shopping. Next stop-honey farm, again 15 min presentation and more shopping. Last stop-wine tasting and more shopping.
Kangaroo Island is the home to a few National parks with exaotic plants and animals, we so none. We stop ed for 5 min to see what we came to see on this tour-beautiful lanshapht. Nature Beaty for 5 min.
Very disappointed. We were dead tired and saw nothing. Wine tasting and honey making are all around the world with not much difference. Tout was poorly designed. I guess tour company gets some commission for bringing a bus fool of people shopping. The last, but not least-very few roads are paved, most are dirt and gravel, so expect bumpy ride

Not much to see or feel. Will not re-visit or recommend to anyone. Mostly gum trees and nothing really scenic. The bird show and bee hive show were interesting.

Visiting the Raptor Domain. It was a nice experience to see a wedge tail eagle close, without bars to separate us. The honey farm was interesting as well as the oil farm, who by the way produced an excellent lunch. The wine tasting didn't appeal to me but many others enjoyed it and the owners are rightly proud of what they have achieved.

We visited the island on a one day tour, long day, pick up was 6.30am from the bus station and then drop off at 10.30pm. On the island; which was reached initially by coach to ferry terminal then foot passenger on the ferry, we visited the birds of prey which was very interactive and great for kids and very educational, then to The honey farm to learn all about bees and production process, also eucalyptus farm where we had a quick lunch, we had a informative and friendly driver who also told us a lot about the island and it’s history.

Awesome experience. Means of transport was excellent. The views along the way is the ultimate reason why we want to be away from the big cities well at least even for just a day. A one whole day trip might be tiring for some, you can stay for overnight in the island or maybe longer if you wish. It just seem to be the perfect place to enjoy nature, so away from the hazzle of everyday city life. Highly recommended, all ages… small kids… I’m not sure. Could be too tiring if not boring for younger generations, but it depends. While still active and strong…go for it! As for kangaroos…they are a bit shy, saw at least 5 of them 🤣

Was a beautiful day seeing parts of kangaroo island, some memorable moments are the beautiful scenic views to and from island, visiting cliffords honey farm, raptor domain and false cape vineyards best way to end the day.
Francesca_D, Dec 2025
Very interesting and well organized activity. I recommend to discover different productions that the island offers.

Un disastro. Ritardo iniziale di 40 minuti, breakfast dopo 3 ore, sempre seduti! Nientecleoni marini nè escursioni, ultima 1 e 1/2 solo ad aspettare traghetto. Forse adatto solo per persone molto anziane.
