Day Trips from Adelaide to Seppeltsfield Wines

It’s impossible to see both Hahndorf and the Barossa Valley in a day on public transportation. Indulge without worrying about a designated driver on this convenient tour that includes two wine tastings, a delicious lunch, a chocolate factory tour, and seasonal strawberry picking (berries at your own expense, available November to April). For ease, your package offers round-trip transfers from Adelaide cruise ships, central Adelaide hotels, and Glenelg Beach hotels.

Why choose to share your winery guide with a group when you can book a private tour and enjoy their full attention? With this Barossa Valley tour, your guide focuses solely on you as they show off the best wine-tasting spots this natural landscape has to offer and tailors the tour to suit your palate.

Drive the Barossa Valley yourself, with a GPS audio guide that plays automatically as you go. Your booking unlocks the whole region in the free Wine Trails app: pick your date and starting point — Tanunda is the classic start, but Angaston, Nuriootpa or Lyndoch work just as well — choose the cellar doors you want to visit, and the app builds your personal route with turn-by-turn narration. 91 narrated stories cover the valley's people and places: as you pass Peter Lehmann Wines in Tanunda you'll hear why Peter Lehmann walked away from a corporate job in 1979 rather than abandon the growers he had given his word to. No group, no schedule, no guide — stop as long as you like at any cellar door, replay anything, and because the tour downloads to your phone, the audio keeps working when the signal drops on the back roads. You'll need a car and a designated driver; tastings are booked and paid directly with the wineries.

It’s not possible to tour Barossa wineries on public transportation and driving yourself means appointing a designated driver. Nobody misses out on this fun day tour, which includes an impressive three wine tastings and a gourmet pizza lunch. In between samplings, discover sights like a dam wall with unique acoustics, the world’s largest rocking horse, and kangaroos and wallabies. Your guide keeps you informed as you travel.

Drive through the beautiful hills villages of Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater then visit the Menglers Hill Lookout which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Barossa Valley’s rolling vineyards and picturesque landscape.. Enjoy cheese tasting at the award winning Barossa Cheese Co., Angaston and then relax at the iconic Seppeltsfield Winery and cellar door with wine tastings (Age above 18 Years) and explore the beautiful grounds.
