Very enjoyable, the views at Mt Lofty over Adelaide were amazing. A lovely walk at Hahndorf. Could do with more time. The boat trip along the Murray with lunch was enjoyable. Recommend the fish and chips and apple crumble for lunch on board.

It’s relaxed and easy going. Tour guide (Roy) was brilliant and made it an awesome and informative trip. The paddlesteamer part of the tour was vey relaxing.
Awesome day, Shane the driver was great very knowledgeable and good driver,the Murray River cruise was fantastic, great food and polite staff, Hahndorf was great 👍 . Highly recommend

this was a very full day which we didn’t picture from the itinerary. the berrenburg and hahndorf stops were added bonuses as well as mt lofty lookout . these complimented the main event the lunch on the murray which is a must do. another value for money tour when you factor in door to door service and expert commentary by ship captain and tour operator
What a wonderful day! Murray River cruising with a delicious lunch, Visiting Beerenberg farm, Harndorf & Mt Lofty! Our. Driver was fantastic rearranging activities around the inclement weather! We saw everything! Wonderful!

Roy’s humour and genuine engagement made a grey day into a fun, memorable experience. He clearly enjoys going above and beyond to make his tours memorable.
He made a conscious effort to engage with all passengers, and encouraged everyone to enjoy each other’s company.
Really good experience, great commentary, great hosts. Food freshly cooked very well.

Paul our driver and guide was friendly, punctual, knowledgeable and helpful. He looked after us all and entertained us with information, dad jokes and local knowledge. The paddleboat journey was very relaxing and enjoyable and the meal was tasty. All the staff from the Captain to the crew were attentive, friendly and efficient.
River cruise was enjoyable. When we booked tour it stated that we were going to a chocolate shop but this tour did not and we went to Handorf instead.

Hi Peta, we do not include a chocolate stop with our tour. I believe what had happened is your booking agent may have had you with another provider and for whatever reason has changed it to our tour. But I am very happy that you enjoyed your day.
An outstanding day. A great experience. We had a great time and saw some great places. Phil, our tour operator and driver did a great job!
Phil was a great tour guide. He put up with us all with a lot of humour back and forth. Felt like we had always known him.
The boat cruise was awesome. Food was great. Would thoroughly recommend it for a quiet day out.
Guide was way too chatty and quite annoying. Cruise was relaxing but lunch was not very good. I would never book with this company again.

I'm sorry our Guide was a bit too chatty, but they do like to describe all the places that they go past and set general conversations. To be honest, this is the very first time in the over a 20 year history that i've ever had a review saying that the guides talk too much. I hope you enjoy other tours that you may attend in the future.
Graham was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we travelled through and his light hearted humour made for a lovely day. Unfortunately the lunch was a let down on the river cruise. I had the fish and chips and ended up with a plate full of burnt, oily batter with little bits of dry fish here and there, others at our table felt equally let down give what we paid.

Rosina, I noticed from reviews that there has been a problem with the batter on the fish the last few days. I questioned the kitchen regarding this issue and found that the flour used was different from our regular flour and the suppler was out of what we generally used. They substituted it and caused all these issues including drying out the fish as it was frying. Our supplier has now delivered new stock of the original flour so i believe this issue has now been rectified. Im happy you enjoyed the tour and our driver. We do hope to see you again.

View from Mt. Lofty provides a sense of Adelaide layout, but not spectacular.
River boat is tired and due for retrofit. Many river views obscured by trees along riverbank. Lunch was good and plentiful.
Hahndorf typical small tourist trap.
Karen our guide was informative but an impatient driver.

Food very poor. Fish was all batter and barely any meat.
Pleasant easy paced day trip which gives you a sense of the town and countryside around. Guide on coach was great. The guide on the boat was very knowledgeable but talked too much.
Mount Lofty was an amazing site with incredible views. The Captain Proud cruise was quite disappointing. The vehicle requires EXTENSIVE repair. Very old and tired and surprised it passed tourist standards. Food was lovely and staff were very attentive and hospitable, but the facilities were very poor. The toilet seat in the ladies toilet wasn't even attached! Scenery was quite boring on this stretch of the river. We would have preferred longer in Hahndorf and strawberry farm. Our driver, Karen, was great, patient and very efficient.
As it was school holidays there were a few kids. Well behaved but maybe not everyone's cuppa. Apart from them, an older crowd but several solo travelkers
Our tour guide was excellent. He went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. Food on the paddle boat was not good. Cruise along the river was lovely. Our stops on land were great.
Very well organised and really enjoyed the day and the activities. Our driver, Graham was excellent and very helpful with his suggestions at our stops.
We had a great tour guide/van driver of Roy who went beyond doing ‘just his job’ he was knowledgeable about the region and extremely comical with it. Very safe with his driving and checked on everyone. The stream boat was good to get a taste of the Murray river. Captain also was knowledgeable of the areas down the river however it would’ve been nice to see staff in a uniform of such, even a top with their company name or brand in it rather than what it looked like the clothes they picked up off the floor from the day before that they’d worn. Food was ok for the type of trip.

The drive there was easy but we felt rushed on the boat. Food was average… customer service lagging behind…

Tour to Murray River luncheon cruise great....staff friendly and other patrons as well. There was little time to visit Hahndorf with all the shops and food....and the Mill is closed permanently....I would separate the two tours and have Hahndorf as it's own tour....1 kilometer of shops, food, and taverns, and wineries as well. We didn't have enough time to shop....Iwould give it a 8.0. The lady running the tour and driving the bus was great....Mount Lofty was part of our tour as well. The tour needs to be adjusted to accommodate shopping and less rushing around....all in all- good time and the people we met were great.
