Discover the Barossa Valley wine region’s delights on a full-day hop-on hop-off winery tour from Adelaide. Explore at your own pace when you hop off at your choice of 10–15 wineries and eateries on the route. Our driver forgot to pick us up for our next stop and asked us to call an Uber. Turns out there are no Ubers in the area. Luckily we found a very kind, random man to drive us to our next stop otherwise we would have missed our next tasting that we had already paid for.

Our driver was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. He was able to talk in detail about interesting landmarks on the route to the Barossa valley. He guided us to some great vineyards with great rationale for each. The trip was great value overall. My wife is a very nervous passenger and at times she would have preferred he talked to landmarks rather than physically point them out whilst driving but that’s about the only negative of the trip.

The trip was awesome, but the tour operator made it extra good. After working in the Barossa Valley wine industry for 20+ years, Yvette began working as a tour operator. Her knowledge and insight of the area, it's history, it's vines, and the industry in general provide key information if interested. Although the schedule seems confusing/overwhelming at first, don't worry, it makes perfect sense once explained. Please pay attention to whether or not a vinyard requires reservations. Stopping in unannounced may not work. Not because they don't have room, but more because they may not have enough staff. If a couple, you likely can sneak in, but still call ahead to give them a heads up. You don't want to be rushed, nor ignored during your tasting. Buying a bottle often reduces the cost of the tasting accordingly. Pace yourself, difficult to do 4 tastings, so plan on 2-3 with a lunch stop. Suggest making your last stop the one with the pheasant farm. Food, drink, nice relaxing grounds. Skip the town unless that is your ONLY opportunity for souvenirs. And on the way back to Adelaide, Yvette shines again with her personal knowledge of the social nightlife scene whether it be a nice romantic date or a bit on the wild and spicy side. She knows all in between. It's clear she loves this area and wants to share it with you as you visit.

Today my partner and I did the Hop on and Hop off tour with driver Laurie who was also our tour guide for the day, he was a real legend! A great bloke that was funny, entertaining and on top of his courier driving. This experience really finished our Adelaide trip perfectly.

Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the Barossa Valley. Waiting times were just the right time as we were not kept waiting at all.
He even had time to stop at Maggie Beer"s shop I could get some cheese.
We got back to Adelaide on time which was impressive as we had to get through peak hour traffic.

We love the setup of the tour and we got to do wine tasting at 4 different wineries. For each of the four 1 hour block you have choices on where to go and the wineries are well aware of the s we up to ensure you are ready to go when the bus shows up to pick you up. We very much enjoyed the wines and the scenery.

Was a convenient and easy way to explore wineries.
One negative, we nearly got left behind.
We were 8mins late for the last bus. The driver didn’t even bother calling us to check our location. I called the driver 3 times before she finally answered and was kind enough to come back for us.
This would have easily been avoided if the driver called us when she arrived. Considering she had our numbers and the tour bus had a small amount of people.

What a wonderful day we had with a great tour guide. Multiple choices for wineries and it made it very easy to stop where you wanted with ease. We visited Rusden and Lamberts wineries on the day and cannot speak more highly of both. Fantastic lunch provided at Lamberts.
