We traveled around 20% of Oaxaca and had a wonderful time seeing the sights with Kevin and Angel! We fortunately saw the tule tree during a festival in which we got to touch the tree, which was cool. Definitely recommend the tour!! The buffet was good too!

Monte Alban ruins
Bring water, wear sturdy shoes and bring a hat. It can be quite hot although we had comfortable weather. There is a ruin you can climb up on to see an amazing view but it’s steep and uneven. There’s a rail on one side which can provide some security. This is an incredible site but you need a guide to explain the history. I suggest visiting the museum of cultural events at the temple de Santo Domingo in Oaxaca either before or after because of the discovery of tomb #7 which was filled with incredible artifacts. Our guide, Miguel, was very knowledgeable and informative. Answered all our questions and some. Great tour experience.

This is how you do a full day tour! Absolutely jam-packed with activities that are just varied enough to not overwhelm. You get a decent workout (with an equally stunning view) with the Hierve el Agua, an unforgettable bonding experience with your fellow travellers at the mezcal distillery, an insightful history lesson at the Mitla site and textile workshop, and a nice lunch in-between. The Tree of Tule, unfortunately, had to be skipped because of heavy rain (they did try to get us a good view from the vehicle though). Also, huge props to the company for the van pick-up right outside my Airbnb.

What an amazing experience!
Wow what an amazing experience! So beautiful, informative and fun! Alfredo was such an amazing tour guide! So knowledgeable, kind, friendly, fun and a true joy to be around! We loved our group too! Visiting the agave fields was truly breathtaking, learning all about the plants and how the agave is grown and how it finally becomes mezcal is fascinating! And trying true, artisanal mezcal was absolutely mind blowing! Nothing like you get back home! If you come to Oaxaca and you have the time definitely take this tour! You won’t regret it! Definitely one of the best things we did while we were visiting this beautiful place! Thank you Alfredo and all the people at the palenque!

Many travelers agree that if you only have time to visit one place in Mexico, it should be Oaxaca. The state has some of the country’s most iconic food—from its seven types of mole to flaky tlayudas (stuffed tortillas)—plus inspiring natural beauty and colorful architecture. Oaxaca tours let you explore like an expert, whether tasting street food in Oaxaca City or discovering the Monte Albán ruins. You can also learn to make mezcal on a plantation, marvel at a petrified waterfall, or head to the coast for surfing lessons.
