This was a great experience for the whole family. Our kids were a little bigger, our youngest was about 12 years old and did great. Definitely need water shoes, and rent a life jacket when you arrive. The guide was so amazing the whole trip! He even got my daughter some Dramamine from the local store when it was closed when she got car sick driving up the mountain to the waterfall! He helped us take lots of family photos and was very careful with our kids and all the climbing. Our whole family had a great time! You won’t regret it, book this experience!!

A few bottles of water would be nice for the ride. The van was smaller than the pictures showed we were a bit uncomfortable
But they were on time and nice. Needs to be a better vehicle for 75.00 one way. Thanks again Viator

We had a great experience. The waterfalls are beautiful and you can swimm there to cool off from the heat. I highly recommend to bring water shoes. We didn't bring them but you can buy them there.
Our guide Genaro was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and tells a lot of stories about Oaxaca both in English and Spanish. I highly recommend to take the tour with him.
The food, different kind of tratitional mexican food, typical for Oaxaca, was delicious! And believe me, you are going to be very hungry after the tour from all the walking and swimming.
After all we would take the tour again and highly recommend it.

False advertisement. We did not go to the Copalitilla waterfalls. We were taken to a mucho smaller waterfall

We had a great time from start to finish, our tour guide, Gustavo , was great! Explained a lot of the area as we went through, traveled through alot of small communities so was nice to see some local areas ! Watershoes a must! The lunch was FABULOUS and not too expensive! Falls were beautiful and fun to climb around and take photos. Great experience and highly recommended!

From start to finish Eduardo Escobar kept us entertained! Great guy for the job! He made sure everyone was taking care of. The stop for tastings was so interesting too! Then we ended the day with a delicious meal.

We had a great day with our driver Gustavo. He picked us up on time and once we gathered our other traveling partners from other hotels we were on our way. Gustavo was excellent at explaining how things were going to unfold and what we would experience and expect. There is a 10 peso fee for each traveler that gets paid part way up to the waterfalls. This is to support the road construction to the waterfalls. At the waterfalls there is a change station and bathrooms. Please note you will need 10 peso coins (or smaller coins totalling 10 pesos) to use the bathrooms.
The waterfalls themselves are wonderful. Gustavo walked us to the top spot and then we spent an hour and a half working our way down. During that time Gustavo helped us manoeuver the waterfalls, took pictures and provided information.
Before we left the waterfalls we had a wonderful lunch with traditional dishes of pork, chicken, vegetables and "Mexican Caviar" (black beans). Great meal for $200 pesos per person.
The trip up and down the mountain is windy with lots of speed up and slow down. If you get motion sickness, you may want to take a gravol ahead of time as the trip is an hour and a half one way.
It was a great day and if you want to enjoy something unique we would definitely recommend this trip.

Edgar with Lamby Tours is a kind, knowledgeable guide who kept us entertained on the drive there and back and was very diligent in keeping us all safe at the falls. Believe them when they say that water shoes are helpful. The falls are beautiful and the water is cool and clear. We had a great lunch on our way back down. We stopped at a store to sample various local goods, such as cocoa, coffee and mescal, which was also available for purchase. We would highly recommend this excursion.

The tasting experience is a commercial sales pitch. It’s a waste of time. I did not pay to spend 1.5 hours seeing a commercial and taste a bunch of stuff and pressured to buy things. This should be a half day trip without a visit to the tourist trap, which is a shop and a buffet meal that the tour guide earns a commission from. I booked the tour to the waterfall and that’s it. No need for a meal or a shop to visit. That can be done on my own.

Edgar did a great job as a driver, guide and waiter. Highly recommend this tour. The falls are indeed magical. A great way to spend the day. Bring cash. Water shoes highly recommended. My kids bought some water shoes at the coffee tasting for $270 and they were high quality. I would go again.

We travelled to Huatulco from Winnipeg, MB CANADA and had a fabulous time on the waterfall excursion. Our guide was Edgar and he took great care of us all for the day. The scenery was beautiful, the waterfalls were majestic, and Edgar kept us informed for the day. Would highly recommend!!

Best adventure day!!! Edgar was FABULOUS. He made the day. Excellent driver. Excellent conversationalist. He physically lead and helped us through the falls. I really think he should be best employee. A few things to note- road is windy. If you have people in your party who get cat sick on roads- give them gravol. It’s a few hours up the mountains. (Stunning drive!) Longer if someone is sick as they slow right down!! bring water shoes. Or runners you can lace up tight and don’t mind getting wet. You will be soaked after the falls. Bring what you need to be comfortable after the swim! Bring cash. Lunch is extra and DELICIOUS. Local hand made dishes. Wow. Felt great to support the local people who graciously share this magical spot.
We were picked up at 10:30. Dropped at 5. Wonderful day in paradise.

Great experience! If you get Edgar as your guide you are in good hands. At the market, consider the heat of your buy chocolates ! We learned the hard way! When they say bring water shoes, trust them! Very difficult without. You don’t need a life jacket either. Cellphone cover yes! The road is long and curvy, consider gravol.

The waterfall was no disappointment truly awesome, the water so pretty blue, I did the jump and so glad I did. Everything so lush and inviting. Our tour guide made the experience so much fun. Worth the trip. Our guide was fun as well. It is a must see. It was on my bucket list.

You should be fairly physically fit and mobile. You need good balance as well as the rushing water can be challenging. Loved it though

Lamby tours was excellent - would highly recommend. Our guide went above and beyond with the tour. The Cascadas Magicas falls were very special to see. We found out later that there are other falls that you can tour as well - might be cool to try multiple in same day... for the hassle of the drive up the mountain.
