Hiroshima and Miyajima Private Guided Tour
We had a wonderful tour of Hiroshima. Kazuko was an excellent tour guide. She tailored our tour to meet our needs. Kazuko was very knowledgeable about the history of Hiroshima and used personal information that really made the tour interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

A must do tour
Excellent tour, our tour guide was amazing, EMI was very knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. We learnt so much from her about the history of Japan, up to and beyond the dropping of the A-bomb. She also made an excellent recommendation for dinner, sampling a traditional Hiroshima dish.

Horror and Hope
This was an eye opening experience. I've always known about the date and the numbers, but this tour really helps illustrate the impact on the people who lived and died on the ground. It was a horrible day and the aftermath was just as bad. But, after all the pain and suffering comes the hope for peace and the efforts of a city to prevent this type of tragedy from ever happening again. Our guide was well versed in the details of the event and pointed out things that would be easy to miss if you were just walking through the park.

Amazing Day on Miyajima Island
We were planning the tour off a cruise ship. Our guide Joe met us on time and at the location we had planned. It was easy connect with him. He had a detailed plan for seeing all the sites we wanted to see in the time we had planned. He knew exactly which order to travel and how to beat the crowds. He took pictures and helped us with information on Miyajima Island asking questions about our interests. My brother needed a camera battery charger and while on the train he researched where we might find one. After the battery purchase he got us to the garden and then after our exploring, helped us get a taxi back to the ship on time. We couldn't have chosen better. It was an amazing day because of his help. Thank you again Joe.

Many Hiroshima tours focus on the city’s World War II-era history, with guided visits to attractions like the UNESCO-listed Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome. But the city hasn’t let itself be fully defined by tragedy. A local guide can help you navigate modern Hiroshima and learn more about the city’s rich culture. Activities like tea ceremonies, food tours, and day trips to see the famous Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima can show you all that the city has to offer.
