What are people saying about Cappadocia

A great trip around Cappadocia
Private tour for four of us with Musthafa, who was a very knowledgeable local guide. He suggested the itinerary, but we could make changes if we required (for example we did not want to visit the ceramic workshops, and there was no pressure to attend). The timings were flexible and we could spend as much time as required at each stop, with time for a lunch or coffee stop. A great day out to see the sights if the region! Thanks again to Musthafa.

This was a great tour and...
This was a great tour and a perfect way to see sites around Cappadocia. Uchisar Castle is a cool way to start with an easy walk around very interesting rock formations and caves you can walk in, great photo opportunity to see the valley and hills behind you with the caves. Goreme National Park has tons of interesting caves to go in and history with all the fresco's, really amazing to see. This does require a little bit of walking up hill and steps, but there are areas to take breaks and it's not a super far distance. Love Valley is a quick stop to see interesting rock shapes and take photos, doesn't require lots of walking as you can park close to the valley. Fairy Chimneys stop is an easy and flat walk around but at the base of the rock formations, which is a cool stop to get a new vantage point. Avanos is a nice stop to see how pottery is made and they provide a demonstration and tea. They will give you time to shop if you're interested in buying handmade pottery. Devrent Valley is a quick stop and you park near the rocks that have some interesting shapes to view and take photos. Lunch was good and our guide was great, he provided interesting facts and gave us time to explore on our own. Highly recommend this tour!

The highlight of my holiday to Cappadocia!
Be prepared to get up early. Sometimes it’s a long drive from your hotel to this remote valley. ( approximately 50 minutes drive from Urgup). Take plenty of warm clothing as it’s cold at dawn. Make sure your camera is fully charged. A couple of suggestions to the supplier of this activity:- I found it quite difficult to climb in and out of the basket, (as my legs aren’t very long! ) so a small set of stepladders would be useful. Also perhaps fly lower into the valley - if possible and safe - to get a closer view of the amazing landscape.

We spent a wonderful day with our excellent guide Oguzhan seeing amazing rock formations, the extraordinary underground city, visiting a pottery workshop and seeing the castle formed from the lava landscape. This was interspersed with the history of the region and Turkey in relation to world events. Our guide even bought us a delicious ice cream. The tour was the highlight of our trip to Turkey.

With its enchanting landscapes, cave hotels, and fairy chimneys, Cappadocia is a natural wonderland underpinned by centuries of history. Most travelers opt for one of the classic color-coded Cappadocia tours. “Red,” which covers North Cappadocia, including Goreme Open Air Museum and Love Valley; “Green,” which heads south to Ihlara Valley and the underground cities; or “Blue”, which typically includes Cavusin and Uchisar Castle. Beyond the day tours, you can also take to the skies for an unforgettable hot-air balloon flight, enjoy a traditional Turkish cultural experience, go hiking, or explore the valleys by ATV, camel, or horseback.
