What a great activity to get out and see the area by bike! We are a family of 5 and were in Rome for 3 days. Would definitely recommend this tour! We did the 5 hour tour with brunch. Our guide was Alex and he was phenomenal! He was a wealth of knowledge and was so interesting! He knew all the places to stop and take pictures!! Great day! Great experience!!

Best tour so far on our European holiday. Our guide Alex was excellent. We loved riding the e-bikes on the appian way and seeing the interesting sights along the way. The lunch and catacombs options is a must. Great way to combine fitness, sightseeing and eating!!

Loved our tour with Nick! He was very knowledgeable and personable. He knows Ancient history very well. Even our teenagers who are not very much interested in history loved the tour. Thank you for a experience!

This tour was amazing! The sights were spectacular. After two great days in the city, we enjoyed being outside in the scenic, quiet countryside to explore the ancient sites. The 5 hour e-bike tour is a workout! We conquered it in 98+ degree humid, hot, sunny conditions! We are all active and fit; it would be difficult for anyone who is not.
Salah is a really great guide! He is knowledgeable, easy to understand, genuine, and fun. He made our experience very special!

Amazing tour of the catacombs, aqueducts and Appian way. All ages enjoyed this from 11yo to mid-twenties to older parents! E-bike made it accessible for all. Highly recommended if you have an adventurous streak. I

If Chris is your guide, this ride is for experienced mountain bikers. The speed was fast and hazardous. There was no accommodating slower riders. We lost 2 people and Chris blamed the riders as not keeping up. We are experienced e-bike riders and were having trouble keeping up. When asked to slow up, he said it was the speed he had to go to get back to the shop on time. Large rocks, blind corners and low visibility, all taken at fast speeds.

Thank you for giving us your time to write your comment about the experience you had.
We are sorry that the pace of the tour was not as you had expected, and we will take it into consideration for all our guides.
But one thing we noticed is that you had mentioned other family who were left behind, while at the same time of your review, we recieved their 5 star review and complements for having Chris as their guide who has been ''kind, patient and thoughtful''.
Of course your feedback is appreciated, as individuals can have different perspectives.
Wish you all the best

We loved this activity and highly recommend doing it. It was nice to see outside the city. The e-bikes made the ride super easy, though, the track can be a little bumpy in some parts. Our guide Chris was super informative and accommodating for the group.

Great way to get out of the city to see another perspective of Rome. It was also nice to get some exercise and learn about Rome’s history.
jamie_m, Jun 2026
What an awesome experience! Worth every penny to see parts of Rome besides just the city center! Jeff was our guide and was amazing!
Robert_R, Jun 2026
The trip was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. Our guide Nazeer was knowledgeable, good-natured, and patient with those of us who were having a hard time adjusting to the sometimes challenging terrain. The trip ended with a visit to Aqueduct Park, which was breathtaking.

Get ready for a day of fun and adventure! Just riding a bike in Rome is an adventure of its own but then we got to ride through the countryside and see amazing sights. The people in our group were so kind and so supportive of our kiddos! We had a blast.
Jessica_H, Jun 2026
We had a blast on this tour. Our tour guide Jeff was awesome. Our 13 year old loved it. Highly recommend!
Julie_J, Jun 2026
This was an amazing tour! I loved getting out in the country and seeing a different side of Italy. Alex was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable, patient, kind and funny. The e-bike made it easy to ride. You do have to be able to pedal for about 14 miles, but the motor will assist you. If you want to learn some interesting history, enjoy the countryside and not have to walk 20,000 steps, you should definitely do this!

Certainly well worth doing. It was my 4th trip to Rome over many years but the first time out of the city. Alex was our guide, great knowledge, he made it fun. Lots of info and trivia about the Appian way and aqueducts. Father Matthew guided us through the catacombs, again very knowledgeable.
Tara_S, Jun 2026
This is a must do experience when in Rome. You will feel like you are outside of the city which is a nice break from the crowds. The aqueducts and Apian way were so neat to see as was the catacombs. The electric bikes make it very easy for various fitness levels, I’m sold on buying one now that we are home. Gia was our guide and she was fantastic! Sweet, kind and full of great history information. We rank this as one of the best tours we’ve ever gone on. Great for families, singles and couples.

This was an incredible tour and great value for money! My boyfriend and I signed up the day before the tour but we're able to join the Sunday afternoon tour in English. We were a group of 8 total, led by the wonderful Mara.
Mara immediately started to get to know the members of the group, memorising names and showing a genuine interest in where we were from and what we'd seen so far on our travels, which was lovely.
The timings worked out great as the roads were less busy (though most of the tour happens on car-free roads anyway) - either way it was a stress free experience. It also meant we were able to keep a good pace - it felt easy enough but at the same time like a workout.
Mara brought us to all the key sights listed on the itinerary and explained the history of the sights to us. She was incredibly knowledgeable, answering all questions with ease and pulling out diagrammes and visualisations when required to help build a clearer picture for us. I could not have asked for a better guide.
This was a fantastic experience to see more of Rome, learn more about the history and give your feet a break from walking. I would 100% recommend this experience to others!

Wonderful E bike experience. Gets you and your family out of Rome and on the Appianway seeing wonderful antiquities. The tour of the catacombs of Saint Callisto was awe inspiring. The tour of the aqueduct Park was a highlight, especially if you’re into ancient Roman architecture.

Beautiful side of Rome. Terrain can be a little rough but the guides were amazing. E-bikes really made it doable. A highlight of our trip for sure!

This was a great experience. Not for the weak. It was a long bike ride but a lot of great views and areas we never would have seen on our own.

Alex was a fantastic guide. It was a great way to get out of the crowd of the city to see some less common sites. The catacomb tour was very interesting and a cool break underground out of the heat. The bikes were great quality. Although it wasn’t strenuous, you should be capable on a bike in order to keep up.

Thank you Coleen

A last minute decision on our last day in Rome turned out to be an incredible day. To see another side of Rome, outside of the city. Alex our guide was both knowledgeable, kind and full of humour. Could not recommend this tour more highly. Do yourself a favour and book this tour, you will not regret it!!
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Natasha that's a very sweet feedback. We are delighted to see you had such an amzing experience in your last day here. Hope to see you again

We brought our 11 and 14 year old boys and had a fantastic time. Sahla was a great guide. In just a few minutes we were away from the crowds and enjoying great views, and great history.

First things first - we enjoyed ourselves generally.
But I'm not sure if our trip is how those trips usually go: from torn chain, to flat tire and a couple of people falling off their bikes - might have been just a bad Monday.
Whilst the guide was very knowledgable he was clearly on a tight schedule, not prepared to slow down for a big group (12) who might be cut off by red lights, buses or somebody not feeling very confident for the first 10min cycling for the first time on an e-bike or cycling in mad Italian traffic. With a group of 12 people I would 2 guides to secure the group and making sure they don't get split up, 1 at the front and 1 at the back. Found it also strange that something simple as an inner tube and general bike fixing kit wasn't carried with but we had to wait over an hour for a replacement bike.
Also, make sure that if I have anything booked afterwards, you leave ample time between activities. We had 3hrs before our next activity started but were left with 30min.

Hands down our absolutely favorite tour in all of Europe!
You feel like you are bike through a painting!!
Dennis_N, May 2026
This was an excellent tour with our guide, Lorenzo. I would recommend to anyone. The scenery was stunning, and the catacombs and aquaduct were full of history.
Casey_H, May 2026
This was a nice escape from the city. The Appian Way is best experienced by bike! The e-bikes made the trip easier but not easy- the large stones on Appian way are not the easiest to navigate - but it was an adventure! The views were incredible - a must do for any Roman itinerary
Will_S, May 2026
This was the surprise hit of our trip to Rome! My wife was slightly skeptical going in but we both loved it and thought it was our favorite tour/activity we did in our 4 days. The country side is beautiful, the Appian Way, aqueducts and catacombs were very cool to see and experience the history that not many who visit Rome get to. Lunch was a very pleasant stop at a local place who served us delicious food, and most importantly, our guide Alex was great! You could tell his passion and enjoyment of the beauty and opportunities we had on this tour and he made the event a memorable treasure.

Thank you so much for this kind feedback. We are glad that we could make your favourite activity in Rome among thousand other things to do here. Hope to see you again. Kind regards

What a fabulous bike excursion. Trevor was a delight, very informative and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend this experience as it takes you out of the city center. Biking down the Appian Way and watching the sleep cross the road was spectacular!

The most fun we've had in Rome so far. Lorenzo was fantastic, so patient; such a great guide. He reviewed rules which I appreciated and put our minds at ease about the traffic. He was always checking on us and had so much knowledge about the area that we biked. When one of us had a problem with a bike he had a solution. What a great day. Thank you SO MUCH, Lorenzo!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you Karen for this kind feedback. We're happy that felt safe and had a great time with us
