Please wait outside the cruise ship exit gate in the designated pickup area in front of the terminal building. Look for your driver or a vehicle with company signage. • Faxagarður Cruise Terminal: Please stay near the main cruise terminal exit area where vehicles can safely stop for pickup.

Pros/Cons - but overall a nice tour

Pro: cruise ship was going to be late into port - the tour company did scramble to get tour times changed - we had to see geysier in the near dark - (that is not the fault of the tour) - the tour guide - a young lady (cant remember her name) instructed us on how to prounce the locations we were visiting. Cons: finding the bus was difficult - and it was also late - my parents are older and it was really cold outside so another tour bus let them sit inside the their bus - the small tour bus is not as comfy- they also did not adjust the price even though we were not going to be able to full orginial itinerary (missed Öxarárfoss) overall it was a nice tour- but def. rushed - had we know that NCL was going to overnight we would have rebooked for the next day but we saw it together and I guess that what counts

Too late too dark to enjoy

Unfortunately our cruise ship did not arrive on time so the tour company scrambled to do the tour at a later time. We were given the option of cancelling or doing the later time.. I regret not cancelling because the tour was rushed at every locatiin we stopped at and by the time we got to the gyser it was pitch black and too dangerous for us to walk to see anything. The company really should not have even suggested the alternative .

Great tour & fabulous tour company in a pinch when cruise ship altered course! =:)

We found out about 11am that our ship was going to make port 5 hours late! I immediately contacted the tour thru the app & they replied within a couple minutes & immediately went to work on a solution! 45 min later they told us they'd be able to accommodate us with 3 stops instead of 4. So much better than none!! Everyone in the same situation got right off when we docked & George, our driver/guide got everyone sorted into the several small tour busses & we were able to get a 30 min headscarf of the revised tour start time. George assured us we would still get all the stops in! It was light rain & heavy clouds, but we did make it to see everything & George wisely reversed the larger waterfall & the Geyser so we'd see the waterfall in the last of the daylight. It was fine to see the geyser after. George did a great job of organizing, calming with humor, driving, narrating information, herding cats, & making the experience as great as could be! Thank you for redeeming the day & excursion! Great work!!🤩

Incredible customer service - they saved our port stop in Reykjavik! Our arrival was moved from 8am to noon a few months before our cruise, and Nordur was able to adjust our departure time. The morning we sailed to Reykjavik, the captain notified us at 10am that we'd arrive 4 hours late - at 4pm instead of noon. While we feared they'd have to cancel the tour entirely, Nordur got us on the road by 5pm. Olga, our guide/driver, was very informative, and we managed to see the national park, the Stokker geyser, and the Gullfoss waterfall. It was getting a bit dark for the last stop, but we were all thrilled to see it at all. So many ship passengers had their tours cancelled with no alternatives offered. Nordur contacted us quickly and found a solution that allowed us to see most of the golden circle highlights. Again, thank you!

Golden Circle Tour with Nordur Travel

Scenery in Iceland is amazing but tour organization was lacking. After debarking from our cruise ship, we were directed to the non-ship tour bus parking area. There were no reps with Nordur Travel signs in the parking lot so we had to ask about 10 tour guides before we found the correct bus/16-seat van. We then waited for a missing passenger for about 30 minutes somewhat delaying the start of our tour. Tour guide narration was fine, transport was comfortable, and, again, scenery was amazing. Would have given this tour 5 stars if directions to get to transport were clear.

Golden circle from Reykjavík

Finding our tour bus was confusing. We waited for a long time. When our small group vehicle arrived- it was a highland van- not for people with mobility issues. Despite this, a party of six including two elderly people on a scooter were put with out group. The scooter had to be dismantled at every stop and a large part of it was shoved into the area where we were seated. This group of six was late in getting back to the van at every stop- causing us to be more and more delayed. The result was that when we finally returned to the city- it was too late to shop or see any city sights. This group should have been put in a vehicle that could accommodate their needs. Our guide was nice enough but should have spoken to them about their constant lateness.

Would have given this 5 Star Review except for the broken air conditioning in the bus. It was a warm day but really hot and uncomfortable in the bus. The stops were sufficient to show the highlights of Iceland.

Good tour for limited time

The supplier of this tour worked with us when our ship docked at a different location. This all occurred before a 8:30 am pick up. This tour hit all the high points as promised and added an extra stop. We also arrived back at port in plenty of time to meet our BOB time. No stop for lunch, so bring your own. The only issue was that the multilingual driver/guide spoke extensively with the Spanish speaking couple in spanish and offered only the basic information in english even though everyone on the tour spoke english, including the spanish speakers. However, this was a great way to make the Golden Circle tour in limited time. I recommend it.

We were very disappointed in this Viator excursion. The bus (19 people) was unmarked, the driver just stepped out and called the name of the bus company to get our attention. Most notable, the young driver was kind, helpful, knowlegable to an extent. He failed to let those senior citizens that there would be difficulty in walking certain distances. Again, very kind but all he would say is "it is easy, you can do it". Little did we know that we had a mile walk from one parking place to the other. He seemed a bit uncertain about where he was to take us, asked if we wanted to stop in a few stops (horse farm, etc.) that were not on the itinerary. There was not time to see the city of Rekyvik (sp?). Our biggest problem was that our tour bus broke down. We were notified at The Geyser that this had happened, radiator I believe, and that we needed to wait an additional 45 minutes for a new bus to arrive. He assured us that we had only 45 minutes to get back to the ship. Despite other passengers telling him it was nearly 2 hours away, he kept saying it was only 45 minutes. The replacement bus and driver did arrive 45 minutes later as he said. The new driver and our original driver engaged in active conversation with each other, while the driver ate a huge sandwich while driving. From our viewpoint we felt the driver drove eraticly, speeding at times, extremely slow other times all the while eating and engaging in conversation with our former driver, often taking his eyes off the road. When we arrived at the ship, our driver said "I was wrong, I am sorry, we were 1 hour 45 minutes away from the ship." We arrived an hour and a half late and 30 minutes before all aboard. We have used Viator many times, and been very happy. However, this experience caused great concern in many ways.

Cramped and hot

No markings on vehicle. Many vehicles. Vehicle was late. Wander about asking each driver if we were with them. Nice vehicle. No step to aid making it up to the first step. 16 passenger group, in bus that was designed for 8. Very cramped and uncomfortable. Driver was from South America, did not know everything that was asked. Pleasant person, Had a headset. Hoped to be informed as we were being driven. That did not happen. Wasted 5 minutes at each stop, explaining to us after we had stopped. With 3000 people traveling in the same direction, stopping at each stop together, makes for long lines. Sights unmatched. Tour was advertised as small group, but wish we would have been on a big bus, as would have been more comfortable.
