Itinerary
At your appointed time, depart Central London by comfortable, air-conditioned coach and head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.
Visitors who arrive at the site during main daylight hours are only allowed to stroll the perimeter pathway around the monument, a route roped off from the stone circle. However, this ‘private viewing’ tour lets your group enter the roped-off Inner Circle of stones to see the monolithic blocks at truly close quarters.
Hear the fascinating facts and mysteries that surround the monument from your guide. With luck, and depending on the season, you may even visit during a sunrise or sunset, making the occasion extra special.
After seeing Stonehenge, continue to nearby Lacock: a quaint village dating to the 13th century. Stretch your legs on a guided walk around the pretty lanes, and see some of the locations used in the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," and a TV adaptation of Jane Austen’s "Pride and Prejudice."
Afterward, savor a hearty meal (own expense) at The George Inn, Lacock’s 14th-century pub, before venturing to the beautiful, UNESCO-listed city of Bath, famous for its Roman spa and Georgian architecture.
Tour the well-preserved Roman Baths, built over natural hot springs (if upgrade selected); see Bath Abbey, and learn about Jane Austen’s connections to the city. Alternatively, use some free time to perhaps shop for gifts or view Bath’s highlights on your own.
After a full day of adventuring, returning to London in the late afternoon.

Absolutely incredible! The town of Bath and Lacock were delightful. Did the Roman Bath tour as well and really enjoyed. Our tour guide Nicholas was so friendly and informative. He had a wealth of knowledge and information! I would book this tour for sure. Not one you want to miss!

Get ready to be amazed. The incredible size of these rocks will overwhelm you. The enthusiasm of the guides will increase your excitement to be in the middle of such a unique historic event. The trip to Bath was also very enlightening (those Romans were superb engineers). But the inner circle in Stonehenge is a profound experience.

It's an awesome site and our tour guide onto Stonehenge and the inner circle were experts of the history. It was cold, wet and windy, so dress appropriately.

Bath is a lovely city with lots of small shops and eateries. The Roman baths are interesting. Lacock is small and not necessarily needed as a stop, but was interesting. Stonehenge is a true world experience!!! Make sure to bring snacks because there is limited time to get food at any of the stops and still see the sites. It is a full 12hr day.

We enjoyed the activity itself- stone henge inner circle was excellent. Communication & itinerary had room for improvement- for instance we packed snacks and coffee but there was a stop along the way for coffee, restrooms, and snacks so was unnecessary. Then, it is advertised as lunch at a pub but it’s a choice of three items from a pub that are actually breakfast. Lalock is a cool place but not much time to explore. The walking tour part in bath (before going into the actual baths) was a bit dull and would have preferred to do the baths and then have free time to explore.
Worst part of the whole thing- the guide practically forced reviews while we were on the bus- waking us up and not giving up on scanning the QR code. We heard a variety of reasons people didn’t want to leave reviews, but he was persistent. This was particularly off putting and for that reason I wouldn’t recommend this specific tour to others. An ask for a review is fine, a hard push is not.

The tour was not as it said in the description. The guide talked way too much about irrelevant things and said some things that were not factual and pushed us along too quickly. The tour gets the three because going into the circle was good but I wouldn't recommend anyone use this company to do that.

this was an awesome experience when we get to walk inside the stonehenge. it was really fun for everyone.
Heather_S, Aug 2026
100% worth spending the extra money on the inner circle tour. We had 2 guide hosts that were great at sharing information and chatting with us. I was hesitant about have a whole hour at the stones, but it flew by…wish I had more time.

We have travelled the world, but TOM was THE BEST tour guide we have ever had. He was fun, entertaining and very knowledgeable. He was educating us but in a fun way. Stonehenge inner circle is a MUST. Why just look from outside if you can go right up to the stones. Walk amongst them. Mo was a great driver. He was very helpful with my husbands walker. I would say this is a necessary tour. DO NOT MISS the inner circle and do not miss TOM.

The entire day was exceptional. Getting to experience the inner circle was a true bucket list experience. John was a great guide for the day, bringing knowledge, logistics and a bit of humor all together to make the day perfect. Lacock was really cool, definitely worth the stop. I didn't do the Bath museum, instead I spent time tooling around the city of Bath which was off great. Had time to do some shopping, see the Royal crescent, see the bridge, walk through the park and even grab a pint! Would absolutely recommend this trip, and do the inner circle if you can!
Lorraine_A, Aug 2026
This was my biggest bucket list item and I was willing to pay extra to experience it. Rowen and Mo were great... I was really worried as my mobility has deteriorated since I booked this 6 months ago, but was determined to see the stones up close and they didn't disappoint. the walking was a lot and the only thing I would suggest is that the buses drop you off and then move to the waiting area instead of making everyone walk all that extra way for no apparent reason.
Being able to go into the inner circle was amazing and if you get the opportunity do it.. we did the sunset (bonus it was the evening of the eclipse) shout out to the security at the stones (appologize I didn't get your name) was wonderful.... I couldn't stand any longer and they got me a chair to sit on while I waited for the group to finish... made sure I was okay... so grateful! And I can say I DID IT ..lol

Truly amazing experience! This tour lets you walk inside the stones which is the only way to experience Stonehenge. The stops in Bath and Lacock were an added bonus! Got to see favorite movie sites from Harry Potter and bridgerton too! Eva was a wonderful guide for the whole trip! 100 percent worth the cost and the early morning!!!

It’s a must to see Stonehenge up close and with a small group. Our guide was helpful and full of interesting facts to make this an enjoyable experience
Ileana_T, Aug 2026
It was a great experience. Excellent guide, very knowledgeable. Good driver. Highly recommended. Must do tour!
Aaron_B, Aug 2026
NOT PRIVATE. Shocking that this has not been pointed out in reviews. Tours were fine, guide was lovely. But don’t get expectations up. Very misleading to call this private, and there are loads of less expensive tours.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Aaron.
We were surprised to see your review, particularly as it appears to have been posted at the very start of the tour.
We would like to clarify that this tour is not advertised as a private tour. It is a shared tour that includes a private viewing of Stonehenge. As clearly stated in the Additional Information section on Viator, the group size can be up to 51 travellers.
We hope you were able to enjoy the Stonehenge Inner Circle experience and the rest of the tour.
Kind regards,
Premium Tours Team

I have been to Stonehenge twice now and getting to into the inner circle this time was worth it. It really changes the experience. You can see the details of the stones better (graffiti, engineering, carving). Didn't have time to the museum but I was ok with that.
Shawn_H, Aug 2026
If you are questioning whether to spend the xtra $ to do this inside the stones tour, just do it! It was an amazing experience!
Lindsay_K, Aug 2026
The tour coach left without me. In speaking with the tour company before departure time I let them know of the delays and that I made it to the meeting stop and they informed me the coach had left. They suggested I could meet the tour in Bath but I would have to pay for my own transportation there and I would miss out on half the Bath experience and admission to the Bath museum. In trying to speak with Viator they would not provide a full or even partial refund or even transfer my ticket to a cheaper alternative tour that they offer. I will not be using them in future and recommend unless you are within walking distance of the meeting point do not use them or Premium Tours Limited the tour group this experience was with.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Lindsay.
We are sorry that you missed your departure due to delays on public transport. We did our best to accommodate you and waited nine minutes beyond the scheduled departure time. Unfortunately, we could not wait any longer, as this would have impacted the other guests who arrived on time and our ability to complete all the planned components of the tour.
When completing the booking, customers are required to confirm that they have read and accepted the terms and conditions of the booking. Customers who do not arrive by the scheduled departure time are considered a no-show and, in accordance with the booking terms and conditions, are not eligible for a refund.
We are sorry for the disappointment, and we did try to offer you a replacement tour as a gesture of goodwill, but unfortunately, this was not accepted.
Kind regards,
Premium Tours Team

Our guide Rowen and driver Mo were excellent. Stonehenge was amazing and highly recommend the close up tour.
Kala_P, Aug 2026
Our tour guide Eva and driver Neil were both amazing! Eva was fun, engaging, helpful and very informative, Neil was a smooth driver and was super helpful with so many questions and people. The tour was absolutely worth it! The scenery and experience was so good!
Michael_E, Aug 2026
A well organized and well run tour. The host was extremely knowledgeable and provided her insights into the surroundings and specific sites. The guides at Stonehenge were also very knowledgeable and provided a worthwhile experience. I highly recommend booking this.
Karyn_B, Aug 2026
The bus pick up location was a little confusing... in the hotel, in the conference centre, or on the street
The guide, Eva, was good, kept us to a schedule
Matt_F, Aug 2026
This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being able to walk within the inner circle of Stonehenge was amazing and somewhat surreal.
I did the sunrise tour, and while it makes for a long day, everything was very well organized and ran on time. There’s a pit stop along the way for coffee and bathrooms, and they get you back to London well before any evening plans.
The breakfast in Lacock was excellent, as was the mini walking tour if you’re a Harry Potter fan. I had visited the Roman Baths before, so I did my own thing in Bath, but the guide gave those who weren’t visiting the Baths suggestions for other things to do, which was a thoughtful touch.
Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour if you’ve never seen Stonehenge. Being able to access the inner circle makes the experience feel truly special.
Also, a shout-out to Eva, who was an incredibly knowledgeable and funny guide!
Erica_G, Aug 2026
Our guide Rowen and driver Mo couldn’t have done a better job of showing us the countryside and providing us with opportunities to see and experience as much as we could on our journey to Bath and Stonehenge. Highly recommend!
Sandra_D, Aug 2026
We booked the sunset inner circle viewing and the lighting was great. I wish we would have had a bit more time, or come mid August instead of early August because the light was just getting golden.
Tania_S, Aug 2026
Stonehenge was fantastic!! The tour hosts there were passionate and engaging. Laycock was very quaint and pretty little town!
Bath was very interesting and and the Roman Baths were good but we found that they were a bit crowded.
Pablo_M, Jul 2026
I had a great day visting the inner circle at Stonehenge, Lacock and Bath. Frank & Neil were a great team to guide us through the day. Plenty of room on the coach and the day didn't feel too long. I highly recommend this tour if you're interested in visiting Stonehenge and Bath plus Lacock for breakfast was a nice touch.
Thanks Frank for a wonderful experience!
Lauren_J, Jul 2026
The guide was good and I liked the different experiences. It was nice to go inside Stonehenge and the guides at Stonehenge were very knowledgeable and helpful. Visiting the village was just pretty. Bath was interesting and the museum is well done. I like that the guide gave us free time as well as good advice on things to do. He was very good at managing the entire group and catering to everyone's needs (really well organized). I think my only complaint is that the bus seats were uncomfortable but that isn't the guide's fault. I would recommend this tour, especially if you want to go inside Stonehenge and if you want to go to Bath!
Melissa_L, Jul 2026
Eva was an engaging, lovely, personable guide to the area. We had a group of just under 50 people, and we were on time to each stop and still had time to do all that we wanted to do. Bath and Lacock are the most charming towns with great movie and television sites to see. The pub built in 1370 was a wonderful dinner spot. Sunset at the stones was everything we hoped it would be. Private, quiet, grounded. The English Heritage staff were also excellent. Highly recommend this tour.
Philip_R, Jul 2026
Amazing locations, just wish we had a bit more time in each! We only had just enough time to eat lunch in Lacock. Our guide was amazing, very informative & funny.
