It was amazing to enter the inner circle at Stonehenge. Worth the 5:30am start time. Every stop on the whole tour was well organized and as hoped for. We had Frank for our guide and Christian as our driver who both are excellent at their jobs. I highly recommend the tour! Bring warm gear for blustery wind at Stonehenge in March.

Itinerary

At your appointed time, depart Central London by comfortable, air-conditioned coach and head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.

Visitors who arrive at the site during main daylight hours are only allowed to stroll the perimeter pathway around the monument, a route roped off from the stone circle. However, this ‘private viewing’ tour lets your group enter the roped-off Inner Circle of stones to see the monolithic blocks at truly close quarters.

Hear the fascinating facts and mysteries that surround the monument from your guide. With luck, and depending on the season, you may even visit during a sunrise or sunset, making the occasion extra special.

After seeing Stonehenge, continue to nearby Lacock: a quaint village dating to the 13th century. Stretch your legs on a guided walk around the pretty lanes, and see some of the locations used in the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," and a TV adaptation of Jane Austen’s "Pride and Prejudice."

Afterward, savor a hearty meal (own expense) at The George Inn, Lacock’s 14th-century pub, before venturing to the beautiful, UNESCO-listed city of Bath, famous for its Roman spa and Georgian architecture.

Tour the well-preserved Roman Baths, built over natural hot springs (if upgrade selected); see Bath Abbey, and learn about Jane Austen’s connections to the city. Alternatively, use some free time to perhaps shop for gifts or view Bath’s highlights on your own.

After a full day of adventuring, returning to London in the late afternoon.

Comfortable bus complete with a toilet on board. Nicholas, our guide was quite knowledgeable and our driver Mo was wonderful.

Fabulous tour with Fantastic team with Nicholas and Robert

Laura_H, May 2026
This tour was had so many positive things and great memories for multi generational group during spring break. If Stonehenge is on your bucket list the. You must absolutely take this tour and be able to be one of the few to walk inside it and just take in the awe of it. The views, access and knowledge from the team at Stonehenge and the tour guides is unmatched. Yes, time is limited however, it was worth every second to get to that point. We all adored bath and agreed we needed more time in the city it self. We all went to the Roman baths and my mom and youngest who is 8 loved it. They are big history buffs and really love learning. We got a quick pint and Cornish pasty pie and walked by the river. Not enough time but amazing. The village stop we had was so adorable and had the best traditional pub for dinner. All 8 of my group enjoyed their meal and atmosphere. We had enough time to take some great pictures and the kids had time to run in the park playground before we got back on the bus. Everything was amazing for my group. However, none of this would have been possible without our Tour Guide Nicholas and Driver Robert. They went above and beyond to help my group and particularly my mom to get to Stonehenge. It has always been he dream to get there and they made sure she did without over extended herself. I cannot thank them enough and that was back in 4/6/2026.

Worth It

Brenna_N, May 2026
This tour is worth the early morning start time. You have an opportunity to see Stonehenge while only approximately forty other people and get great picture without a crowd. Our guide was great. He knew the bet photo ops. The guides at Stonehenge were great too. The village visit was ok. It was essentially a breakfast stop and not an actual experience of the town. Bath is mostly a sell guided tour but by that time you are ready for some free time. Overall, I recommend

Great way to spend the day

Jessica_M, May 2026
This 11 hour tour was worth every minute. The intimate peak at Stonehenge, along with exploring Lacock and Bath made our day out adventure one for the books. They do stop for coffee and then breakfast (on your own) on the way out.

Perfect Day!

The day was phenomenal!! Our guide was so interesting and knowledgeable. I would not have wanted to experience Stonehenge any other way! Highly recommend!! We also really enjoyed our time in Bath. We had enough time to see everything, without feeling rushed. It was a perfect day!

Stonehenge is Spectacular

Timothy_C, May 2026
This in an incredible tour. A world famous site. Go early in the day and no one else is there. We had Stonehenge all to ourselves. We visited the inner ring of stones. Our photos are spectacular. The bus ride is enjoyable through the countryside. Bath was a charming town.

This tour was fantastic!...

Morgan_H, Apr 2026
This tour was fantastic! Going to the inner circle of Stonehenge is not to be missed. Our tour guide (James) was fantastic! He was able to inject the perfect amount of humor into the subject matter that made the tour even better

Too large of a group for me.

Nancy_P, Apr 2026
Our guide , John was delightful. He was very organized, friendly and knowledgeable! My only issue is that 33people for this “special” tour is too many. I booked primarily for Stonehenge and although Lacock, Bathe and the Roman baths were interesting , I would have preferred a focus on the stones and return to London with a. Stop for a meal. I really thought I was doing Stonehenge and the Roman Baths. Too many events and too many people for siich a “special” viewing.

See Stonehenge Up Close!

Geaneen_A, Apr 2026
James and Mo were fantastic! James was a great tour guide. He told us about so much of the history of every area we drove through. He knew so many interesting facts and has a great sense of humor. Mo is an excellent drivers He kept us safe and made sure we got to all the sites despite an unexpected and unavoidable traffic delay on the route. While Stonehenge was certainly the highlight, it was awesome to see the Roman Baths, to learn about all of the villages and hamlets we drove through, and to experience a lovely traditional lunch in Lacock. I highly recommend this experience.

Loved the private tour of Stonehenge. It was worth the extra cost. The lunch was also very good and convenient, ready when we arrived.

Great Tour, Great Guide

Jeremy_S, Apr 2026
We very much enjoyed the Stonehenge Inner Circle tour with a stop in Bath. Our guide, James, and driver, Mo, were fantastic. Our arrival to Bath was delayed due to a traffic incident. James did a masterful job of managing the revised schedule, keeping everyone informed and in good spirits. I highly recommend this experience.

Amazing tour guides and experiences

Stacey_C, Apr 2026
The tour was amazing! Do the inner circle tour it’s worth it!! Lacock and Bath were very cool as well! -Eva and Jermaine were excellent!

Highly Recommend

Stacey_S, Apr 2026
If you are going to take the time to see Stonehenge, this is the way to do it! It is a very well organized tour with great staff. (we had Nicholas and Mo, who were awesome). The food at the pub is optional and a (reasonable) additional cost - don’t miss it! We were lucky with the weather - no rain and even a bit of sun, which makes the monument even more amazing.

Worthy tour!

RhioAlleli_S, Apr 2026
Being up close with stonehenge is so worth it. If you travel more than 2 hours and spend the whole day to see the stones, you might as well be able to hear more about its history and experience it on a personal level. I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to spend some time as well in Lacock not only for breakfast but also do a quick walking tour. What a gem! Lastly - Bath was amazing. Such a nice place to see not only for the Roman Baths but also due to Bridgerton traces and vibes. John and Neil were fantastic! Highly recommend.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Stonehedge and Roman Bath

Ivy_A, Apr 2026
This was a great excursion that packed must see sites for travellers who do not have much time. The meeting point was very accessible and the touring bus was easy to find. The main tour guide was very entertaining and made sure we were all taken care of. The roman baths and Stonehedge were breathtaking.

Tour was great!! Our guide John was also great!! My complaint is the “sunrise” at Stonehenge is not what really happens. Sunrise occurred while we were at a rest area half way to Stonehenge. So that was a disappointment! We also felt that more time at Lacock was needed. We felt very rushed. Time at Stonehenge and Bath was perfect. Thank you John!!!

Great Day Trip!

Jennifer_G, Apr 2026
Great time going early- not super crowded and nice time at Stonehenge. Guide Tom was great! Took photos of all of us so we had great photos from the site. Breakfast was good but a bit quick. Bath was wonderful- about an hour for the museum then another hour to explore the town. Driver Neal got us there and back quickly. The morning stop at the service station was perfect since breakfast wasn’t until about 10:30. Great experience!

Stonehenge & Bath Epic Tour

Linda_C, Apr 2026
This was an amazing tour. I actually extended the last day of my vacation by a day in order to take this tour and had zero regrets. There was plenty of time to explore the inner circle and take tons of pictures. The tour guides were knowledgeable. The stops at Lacock and Bath were awesome too! Absolutely loved this bucket list event.

Worth It! A Great Experience!

Connie_M, Apr 2026
This was an amazing experience with an amazing guide named John and the bus driver. Being in the inner circle made all the difference. John and the bus driver took great pictures of individual groups. The bus is comfortable and John kept us informed with stories about some of the things we were passing in between destinations. We chose the sunrise tour which goes to Stonehenge first, then Lacock for breakfast, then the Roman Baths.

Leaves right st 5:30 am - dont be late. Professioanal, great tour guide, walking through stones was once in lifetime experience - well worth. Had stonehenge to ourselves and tour (about 15 people for almost full hour). Well worth it.

Enjoyed Inner Circle

Sheila_A, Mar 2026
We enjoyed the opportunity to enter the stone inner circle. It was disappointing, that we arrived too late to enjoy the visitor center. We had just 10 minutes before the bus to the circle left. We also could have skipped the meal at the end of the trip. A mid day meal would have been nice, but it seemed pointless to do this as the very last thing. We would have preferred just to get back to town.

This was a great trip....

Karuna_S, Mar 2026
This was a great trip. The time in Bath was very short, really only time to do the museum. It was great to see Stonehenge in a small group and to be able to go inside the circle. Tom our guide and Robert our driver were excellent!

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Hello, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the Inner Circle experience at Stonehenge and that the smaller group made the visit even more special. It’s also great to know that Tom and Robert looked after you so well during the day. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to them. We appreciate your comment about the time in Bath, and we’re glad you were still able to enjoy the museum during your visit. We hope to welcome you on another Premium Tours trip in the future.

Amazing experience!

Darrin_T, Mar 2026
The tour was wonderful! Our guide and driver were fantastic and took great care of us. Truly a highlight of our London trip.

Stonehenge sunset tour

smhann2, Mar 2026
After hours Stonehenge Tour with inner circle access was a highlight of our London trip. Our tour guide Tom and bus driver Robert were great hosts. We highly recommend this tour.

Felt like we had Stonehenge to ourselves!

Uriah_C, Mar 2026
The tour bus felt like a lot of people until we got to the site. It was very easy to take photos as if no one else was there. The guide, Frank, was passionate, funny, and friendly. I was skeptical about the Roman ruins at Bath, but I ended up enjoying those, too!

Highly recommend, inner circle

Eric_S, Mar 2026
Nicolas was super knowledgeable, funny and did everything he could to ensure we had a great tour. We did the inside circle sunset tour to stonehedge, the weather held up until the walk back to the bus. It was amazing to be inside stonehedge and walk through this 5000 year old site.

Stonehenge is amazing!

Kim_U, Mar 2026
Outstanding opportunity to see Stonehenge up close, do not miss! Lacock village was great, breakfast there was yummy - would have spent more time there vs Bath.

Amazing Day!!!

Kirsten_B, Mar 2026
James and Neil were fantastic guides on our Stonehenge, Lacock, and Bath tour. They were incredibly knowledgeable but also entertaining and relatable, which made the whole day enjoyable. James’ storytelling made Stonehenge feel especially magical, and he shared fascinating insights about each location that really brought the history to life. Our family had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this tour with James and Neil.

Nicklaus and our driver...

Camille_D, Mar 2026
Nicklaus and our driver were excellent. It is a long day but being inside the stones at Stonehenge is very special. We enjoyed getting out of London and seeing the countryside. Bath is nice to see. We did not do the tour of the Roman Baths and just had lunch and shopped which we liked. The dinner at the Pub in Lacock was very good but the walk was in the dark which couldn't be helped. Overall a great day made even better with Nicklaus's outstanding narration and care.
