He not only explained the animals on the property, he also did a great job explaning their habitat and the many plants and insect species we encountered. I had an amazing night walk in La Fortuna with Wildlife Tours Costa Rica! I spotted frogs in their natural habitat, snakes, tarantulas, “sleeping” hummingbirds, and even an invasive Australian frog—so many fascinating sights in one tour. Our guide, Jorge, was knowledgeable, engaging, and always put our safety first. The company provided all the necessary gear and flashlights, which made the walk comfortable and easy to enjoy. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves nature and wants to experience Costa Rica’s wildlife after dark!

We had the time of our lives! Truly! The guides were all incredibly helpful. They explained everything, kept us safe and always had an open hand to assist in any way. My kids are 8,9 and 12 and they all just loved the experience so much. We did get the photo package because it was just so amazing and a time to remember! We will never forget our experience here and I would recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Costa Rica. The guides José, Kendall, and two others were all just so informative and fun. Pura Vida!

This was such a fun and...

This was such a fun and adventurous experience for my active family (kids ages 10 and 13). Each rappel was different but all led to the large 230 foot rappel. The guides made us feel very safe and did not pressure you into doing the biggest rappel. They also made recommendations based on skill. For example, my 10 year old opted just to watch the rest of us do the biggest rappel and that was just fine. A must-do for those who love a bit of adventure and stepping out of your comfort zone in a safe environment. We have Keen type closed toe sandal shoes but opted to wear running shoes with good tread as the rocks are slippery. Happy we did. Also, prepare to get soaked and to hike. Would not be a good fit for those who suffer from knee/ankle problems or for those who are very out of shape.

Family fun!

We had so much fun! Even though the dam wasn’t working in the river we were supposed to go to, they took us to another river and had the best time! We even saw iguanas and monkeys along the way. Very good. Only down...

Very good. Only down fall was the Balsa River only open when dam is open and it was not open by the time we reached there so we had to go to another river so ended up being a long day and lots of time driving. Wish they had checked before we went or given us maybe some of our money back. But it very good and a thrilling adventure.
