Great time at Taste of Italy Pizza and Gelato cooking class with Niccolò while visiting Florence. Niccolò was welcoming and very attentive. We had a private experience as it was January and the only group to register. We were very appreciative he didn't cancel our reservation (like another company did due to lack of reservations). The kitchen was immaculate. Niccolò was a great host and made sure we were well attended to throughout the experience. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly and answered the abundance of questions we through at him. We were able to choose from a variety of pizza toppings for our pizza. We learned about some of the history of making gelato. He chose the flavor of gelato - honey, which was delicious. He served beverages throughout our "lesson", water, bottomless Prosecco and Aperol spritz. A great time had by all. Would definitely recommend this experience and will likely do it again with a group when we return to Tuscany in the fall. Thank you, Niccolò, for an unforgettable experience!

Amazing experience! It ended up just being our family but they were beyond kind to my daughter and let her help and she felt included. Would highly recommend this class to anyone coming to Florence! They also served great drinks during the class

Amazing experience! I took my family ( 5 adults and 2 little kids) for the pizza and gelato class.the chef and the helper staff were so nice and super friendly made us feel so at ease the entire time! We and the kids had a great time making the food and gelato. Highly recommend for a family activity especially with the little ones.. they were so I to the class the entire time

We had a very lovely evening during our workshop! In an informal and very friendly atmosphere we took the pizza and ice cream workshop. Niccoló and Alessio where our hosts and we could see the enthusiasm and passion in there eyes. They made us feel very welcome and appreciated.
During the workshop we made Nutella flavoured ice cream and we created our own pizza dough and of course our own pizza.
We had a terrific time and we would highly recommend Taste of Italy workshops to anyone visiting Florence.
Alessio and Niccoló explained all steps in details and where the perfect hosts during our workshop.
We cannot thank them enough for there patience and enthusiasm.
When we return to Florence we will most definitely visit them again for another workshop!

What a wonderful experience! Our children (12 and 9) had a great time learning to cook and were engaged the whole time.
Alessio and Marco were gracious hosts and provided us all a fun and educational night. Learning about the different Italian Regions, National culture and their personal families & traditions were an unexpected treat. They made the evening flow and kept the conversation going. Nicolo was amazing. We were a family and friend travelling together and he was so accommodating to the child's additional needs and went out of his way to make the experience remarkable for everyone.

Chef Alessandro was fantastic and engaging, he did an amazing job including my kids in the preparation at every step and the smiles on their faces alone when they were tossing the pizza dough in their hands made taking the class worth it.

We loved Marco and his partner so much! They are funny, genuine, amazing with kids and just plain fun to spend 3 hours with! We each made an individual pizza plus gelato plus adults got drinks from all over Italy. We would go back in a heartbeat. My kids age 7 and 10 had a blast as did their 76 year old grandma. And the guys had the flow completely dialed so it was entertaining throughout, even while waiting for pizzas to cook and such. The location is not hard to find and is really nice inside. Marco will also meet you to help. Worth every penny. Simply the BEST team.

We had a wonderful time as a family at the pizza & gelato making class! We took our 6 yr old and 1 yr old wonderful (but slightly wild) boys and the instructors were so accommodating. We learned a lot, ate delicious food, enjoyed drinks together, and just had so much fun! Definitely a highlight of our trip!

We chose this class based on the reviews, and it did not disappoint! The whole experience was exceptional. The food was great and the atmosphere was so warm and friendly. By the time we left, we felt like we had just spent the evening with a group of old friends! We also learned a lot, and I’m an avid home baker, so I didn’t expect to learn as much as I did! My only regret is not staying in town long enough to take one of their pasta classes!

This was a great class for the family. Niccolo was so friendly, and took his time working with the kids (and adults for that matter). He really takes pride in making good food and a great experience for everyone. This is a locally run business, and I would highly recommend taking the Pizza and Gelato class if you can!

We had an amazing experience at this pizza and gelato class in Florence. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by both the chef and the hostess, who were incredibly kind and attentive. We were even greeted with welcome drinks, which set a great tone for the class.
It was a semi-private session with just one other couple, making the experience feel personal and relaxed. The instructions were clear, engaging, and easy to follow, and the chef made sure to keep everything fun while still teaching proper techniques.
They went above and beyond—making extra pizza for us to enjoy, and every bite was delicious. The gelato was absolutely incredible as well. The entire team was friendly, the environment was clean and well-prepared, and everything felt thoughtfully organized.
Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Florence—it was truly one of the highlights of our trip!

Welcoming atmosphere that felt like I was in the kitchen of family/close friend. We all (mom, dad, 10 yo daughter, 8 yo son) had a wonderful time. Everyone stayed engaged the entire class and learned a lot. We would have considered additional classes if we were in Florence longer.

We had an amazing experience at Taste of Italy! My husband, our two kids, my mom, and my stepfather all joined the pizza and gelato class, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Florence. The class was incredibly interactive and informative — the instructors made every step easy to follow and fun for all ages.
The kids loved getting hands-on with the dough, and the adults learned tips we’ll definitely use at home. And of course, everything was absolutely delicious!

This cooking class experience was amazing. We have a 13, 10, and 8 year old. They loved the experience of making pizza and gelato. This was their favorite pizza of all the ones they had during our week in Italy. The Chef was very knowledgeable and very enjoyable to talk to. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Florence.

Amazing experience. Chef was incredible and very interactive. The steps and process was great to participate with. It was a small group with only 2 families. We made pizza, cookies and gelato to eat for lunch. The authentic Florence pizza was amazing. Great event to do whilst in Florence and worth the time and money.

My family and I enjoyed the cooking class and loved sharing it with lots of other cool families. We will certainly replicate making the pizza at home.
