What are people saying about Lake Como

Pure Magic!
Patrizia is the most gracious, lovely, kind hostess. Her home is so beautiful and the garden has the most spectacular view of Lake Como. Words can’t describe how much we enjoyed this one of a kind experience. We felt so welcomed, learned so much, and felt so lucky - it was a dream come true. Our 13 year old daughter (who loves to cook) said this was her favorite thing we did on our trip. Highly recommend! The class also included homemade focaccia with local salami, cheese, and honey and wine. We made 2 types of pasta (one filled tortellini and one spaghetti) which Patrizia paired with delicious homemade sauces and tiramisu from scratch. FYI our class was in Bellano and Patrizia helped us with the names of several taxi cab drivers.

Multi generation family
I travelled to Como with my 16 year old daughter and 90 year old mother and we booked the pizza making class. It was great fun, informative and a nice small group. The pizza tasted amazing and it was a great thing to do together as a multi generational family! Thank you to Frank for his hospitality and friendliness!

Highlight of our trip
This experience was the highlight of our trip. Not only is the wine and meats/cheeses to die for, the views from the vineyard were absolutely stunning. Sylvia was a delightful host who made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We felt very at home. If only it were as it is a stunning area to view the lake and mountains from and learn about their family run business.

Worth the time and money!
Don’t skip out on the opportunity to learn from a talented cook! It is well worth the time and money invested! We had a fantastic experience with Lidia as she hosted us in her beautiful home and taught us genuine, simple Italian cooking! We would rebook with her in a heartbeat and would have done so had we had more time!!!

If you like Lombardy cuisine so much that you want to recreate it at home, Lake Como cooking classes can help that happen. And if the traditional Lombardy plates of polenta and fresh pasta aren’t to your taste, there are pizza, tiramisu, and lasagna classes that give tips on the best way to make Italian classics. Learn from a local nonna inside their home, roll up your sleeves at a lake-view restaurant, or discover generations-old recipes in a family trattoria. Other opportunities combine cooking classes with market visits, wine tasting, or truffle hunting nearby.
