Our driver Pantelis was knowledgeable and accommodating. We had been to Athens 32 years ago and wanted to revisit. Our first stop was the Acropolis. Having tickets included let us skip the line and go right in. Be advised it is a climb but most people i saw did it okay. Pantelis gave us a good overview of the city so we saw sights we missed before. A very enjoyable and memorable day.

Santorini private tour - missed the cable car 🚠 queues

We had a great guide called Alex who is local to Santorini and showed us all the jewels of this beautiful island. It was very busy even off season as there were 5 cruise ships tendering into the island on the day. Getting there early really helped beating the queues. Alex took us to his hometown of Megalochori (but shhhh don’t tell anyone - as it’s a hidden gem 💎) - the place we will come back to when we do. The only downside was that it was extremely busy at the old port where our tour left from and our tender boat (to miss the cable car queues) arrived 45 minutes late (although this was no fault of Vexpedia)

Very informative and Excellent guide

If you have got Eva as your guide then rest assured that you have never gotten a better guide in your Life and I’m sincerely not exaggerating! She talks with a passion and brings History to life. My wife who has never paid much attention to any guide until now (and we have been to a few places over the world) was in rapt attention with Eva. Had it not been for her, I myself might’ve lost some interest after a while and started taking pictures. I’ll recommend this tour as you really get to know the history behind the famous Acropolis and the Parthenon.

Wonderful!

We did a half day private tour with Spiros. He is a local with vast historical knowledge and pretty good English! We saw all the major historical sites and many of the modern ones. Spiros was SO accomidating and got us into the best possible positions for viewing and photography. At the end of our 5 hours together we consider him a friend.

Great tour of the Acropolis - worth it!

Margarita our guide was fantastic. She was earnest and intelligent and really seemed to love telling us all the detailed history of every inch of the Acropolis site. She was also very considerate: giving us time to rest and finding places in the shade to take breaks and informed us of the sites as we walked up the mega hill to the top where most of the known major building are. I give her an A+ and would recommend this tour to anymore and highly recommend it as you’d just miss out on too much of the history and significance of the Acropolis without a guide. My only slight negative would be that the women who check you in at the Walking site were downright rude and should not be in customer service at all. Thank goodness Margarita was the complete opposite. One other tip - wear grip shoes as it’s steep and slippery. Highly recommend this tour and think it’s worth your time and money- a truly once in a lifetime experience.

Outstanding tour with highly educated experienced guide/archaelogist Elizabeth. She was wonderful. Be sure to book both the Acropolis and the amazing museum where you can see the recovered artifacts, learn and see through glass floor to the current ongoing excavation. Go early on the day…..if possible….Avoid visiting mid May through mid-Sept….too hot and extremely crowded.

Well worth your time and energy!

Excellent guide-her name is Elene but I’m not sure I’m spelling it the correct way. Very knowledgable and was able to answer all of our additional questions. She was patient with those that were not able to do the walk and found alternative methods for them to be able to appreciate the site. This tour is always going to require patience from all involved as there are always crowds here! Be aware that there are uneven paths and also a lot of walking uphill. It is well worth your energy though! Also, there is an elevator but our guide says it is not always working. Thank you again Elene!
