Stunning Versailles
This was my second visit to Versailles but first time with a guide. Our guide, Isabel was lovely and extremely knowledgeable. She explained much of the history of Versailles and its inhabitants. She was also very knowledgeable about the artworks and the artists. I highly recommend this tour and the additional access ticket to the magnificent gardens.

Excellent tour!
This tour was highly worth it. Olivia was very knowledgeable and kept the tour fun and interesting. We learned so much in the time with her about the history and culture at Versailles. After the tour we were able to explore the gardens and that was equally as amazing. A great tour and well worth the cost.

Palace of Versailles & Gardens
Versailles palace and the gardens are beautiful! This tour was well organized, driver was on time and friendly. Our guide, Nafi, was amazing! Very knowledgeable and led our group thru large crowds very easily. One of the best tours we have done in a long time.

Breathtaking Beauty That Words Simply Cannot Capture!
The Palace of Versailles is one of those places you truly have to experience to understand. No matter how many photographs you’ve seen or how many times you’ve watched it on television, nothing prepares you for the sheer size and magnificent beauty of this place. Walking up to the palace alone is an experience! Our guide was wonderful! He was funny, engaging, and managed to keep the information concise without sacrificing the richness of the experience. I appreciated that he gave us so much to take in without making the tour feel overwhelming. Now, a few things I wish I’d known beforehand! First, be prepared for A LOT of walking! The estate is enormous. I genuinely wish the option to purchase a garden train ticket or rent a golf cart had been presented when booking the tour. If you plan to explore the gardens, I strongly recommend budgeting for one of these options. You’ll appreciate having it! Second, eat beforehand and plan your bathroom breaks carefully! Depending on your tour time, make sure you’ve had at least a little breakfast. I also wish there had been a second opportunity for a restroom break before heading into the gardens. Once you’re outside, getting to another restroom can involve quite a journey, especially if you’re relying on the garden train. This is something I think could be better communicated or incorporated into the experience. And finally, take pictures, lots of them! There is simply so much beauty and detail to absorb that it’s impossible to appreciate everything in the moment. You’ll want those photographs later so you can revisit the things your eyes barely had time to process. Despite those few practical considerations, Versailles was absolutely magnificent. The architecture, the scale, the gardens, the extraordinary details—it’s difficult to find words that do it justice. Some places are beautiful in pictures. Versailles is something you have to stand in front of to truly understand. An unforgettable experience, and one I am so grateful to have had! ❤️

Just outside of Paris, Versailles’ claim to fame is its 17th-century Palace of Versailles, the over-the-top gilded residence of Louis XIV. Tours of this UNESCO World Heritage Site often depart from Paris and include transportation, but you can also opt to meet your guide right in town and head off to explore together. The most popular Versailles tours involve exploring the palace and its opulent gardens on foot, but you can also opt for a tour that allows you to zip around in a golf cart instead.
