Massimo is very knowledgeable and has good English he told us lots about Sicilian cooking and what to watch out for in restaurants. The group was 16 we all got a chance to prepare parts of the three starters and two main courses. We had Prosecco before lunch and white and red wine withe meal I initially thought it was a bit pricey but was well worth the money. I would love to come to another class with massimo at a different time of year when other foods are in season. He checked for allergies and dietary restrictions. He lives down the hill from Taormina we walked down to casaisola. He arranged taxis for some of the other guests. His staff were pleasant also

Lovely walk with food and history

Our guide, Alessandro was knowledgable, personable and interesting. We were able to try local dishes in spite of the torrential downpour - luckily, our group had good humor about the rain! Also, our group was as curious about history and food as we were, which made for a lovely evening. I would have liked there to be a small meat or fish dish (we had arancini, antipasto with wine tasting, focaccia with toppings and a cannoli), but that is my only suggestion. Do pin on your map the arancini restaurant! We tried to find it again down the many side streets but could not (we did easily find the other restaurants)

Exceptional tour of Mt. Etna and wine experience!

The morning with Alex on Mt. Etna was amazing; he is a faunt of knowledge, excellent English, and not just about Etna but volcanoes all over the world. It made for an incredible experience on the volcano. The afternoon wine tour at Gambino was excellent as well; generous pouring of wines, refills not question, and a very wonderful 4 course expected lunch. The entire visit was worth every penny and more!

Five Stars! Great people made a rainy day fun and interesting!

We were fortunate that this tour was by Discover Messina Sicily!! Even though it rained and the boat part was cancelled they brought us to Messina to watch the Belll Tower at 12:00 which is really a beautiful experience with music and a moving Lion that Roars!! Our director Pepe was funny and gave us great ideas where to go in Tamorino. This was a 10 out of 10!!

Amazing tour of Etna

An excellent experience with Alessandro. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about volcanos and Mount Etna and the local region. Tour started with delicious wine at a family vineyard on the slopes after a walk through the vines and the opportunity to see the locals at work picking and sorting the grapes. The tour up Mount Etna was really informative taking in historic lava flows, tunnels and breathtaking views, ending with a lovely lunch at a chalet restaurant near to the cable car to the volcano summit.

Worthwhile

We are 68 and in good health. The hike was only 1.5 hrs and not difficult. You don't go anywhere close to the summit/crater, staying in the low area. Daniele was our guide, who was extremely informative, humorous and kind. The tour was a total of 6 hrs，including lunch at a vineyard, which was quite good. I would have preferred if the hike was a bit longer.

worth the trip for sure

We really enjoyed the Etna part. We did opt for the additional charge for the cable car and truck at the top. Well worth it. Very interesting and we got some exercise. Be sure to take a coat- it is cold at the top. If you don't have it there is a rental with really nice coats for 5 euro. They are clean and very nice. Taormina- is lovely but get a ticket online ahead of time for the theater if you are touring. other than that- shop shop shop. Which I am not into.

An unforgettable experience in Sicily!

This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! From beginning to end, the experience was absolutely amazing. We loved every minute of the cooking class — learning how to prepare delicious, authentic Sicilian dishes and, of course, getting to enjoy everything we made! What made the experience even more special was Chef Mimmo and his beautiful family. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and made us feel like we were spending the day cooking with family rather than simply attending a class. The food was fantastic, but the laughter, conversation, and wonderful hospitality are what made the experience so memorable. If you are traveling to Sicily, I cannot recommend this experience enough. It is so much more than a cooking class — it is a wonderful opportunity to experience Sicilian food, culture, and hospitality firsthand. Perfect transfer experience!

Our transfer experience was wonderful! The driver was attentive to our flight and tracked it prior to our landing. He communicated with us as soon as we landed and shared a clear picture to mark the meeting spot. He ended up picking us up earlier than we requested because our flight was early, so we did not have to wait at the airport. Would certainly use again!

Great tour with Martino

I can't say enough about this tour. Martino, our tour guide, promptly arrived at our pick up point with water in the van. Driving in Sicily is really the wild west but Martino was continually asking if we were happy with his driving, which we were 100% of the time. He was very knowledgeable about Mt Etna and made several stops to show us special views and point out a buried village. He got us behind the scens at the winery with the owner. Martino was quick to pick up on our interests and pointed out a few details not on the itinerary. This was a great tour with am outstanding tour guide.

Must do in Taormina

We had Antonio as our guide and he was fantastic, from the beginning pick up to all the knowledge he had throughout the day. Gambino wines was a lovely wine tasting - very generous! And the beautiful lunch followed after was a perfect way to wrap up the day. If you are a wine fiend this is one to do!

Great time!

Had a wonderful time! With the help of Chef, his mamma and trusty sous chefs, we made 2 pasta dishes and 1 amazing fish dish. While pasta dough was rising we were treated to tomatoes and mozzarella. Everyone was able to contribute - crushing tomatoes, picking basil off the stem, sautéing veggies. It was very hot- but thy gave us lots of beverages to cool down. We shared a nice meal outside with our new friends.
