What are people saying about Sicily

Salvo 🙌🏻
We had a phenomenal experience with Salvo! We were fortunate to have him all to ourselves for our market tour and class. The market was opening a little late due to the august summer “vacations” so we started the morning with prep. About 2 hours in we got to tour the market. Salvo knew many people at the market and explained all of the various ingredients local to Sicily and what’s in season. We even got a few samples from the local vendors to try some staple dishes. After the market we returned to finish up our dishes. Salvo is extremely knowledgeable and talented! We had great conversation all day about Sicily, food, his experience working in various kitchens and his family. The food turned out amazing and we are so happy we got a digital book with the steps and ingredients needed to replicate at home. This was a highlight of our trip. Thank you salvo!

A Must Do Family Experience
This cooking class was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily! As a family, we learned how to make authentic pizza and cannoli from scratch, and everything was absolutely delicious.
Our chef, Mimmo, was amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun and easy to follow. He shared his passion for Sicilian cooking, and we learned so much while having a wonderful time together.
I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Sicily. It’s a fun, authentic, and unforgettable experience!

Delicious and fun Sicilian cooking experience
This cooking class was incredible. It took place at a restaurant that was open and pretty busy, so it was really cool to get to be in the kitchen and watch the chefs work. On the night we went, we got a private experience with our chef while everyone else did the pizza and pasta class. Definitely do the cooking class, and do NOT eat before coming. We made a huge amount of food and a lot of different dishes, which we got the recipes for afterward. Paolo was so much fun to learn from - very charismatic, funny, and knowledgable. My only regret is that our schedule didn't allow us to come in the morning for the class since we would have been able to go to the market as part of the experience. Other than that, I would highly recommend this activity.

This cooking class was...
This cooking class was awesome! The whole group got along really well and Massimo made it a great environment! We started with a tour of the market and learned about local produce, fish, and meat before walking to the house. The view from the house was beautiful, so it was a very scenic way to make lunch! The cooking was really fun and the whole group agreed we learned a lot of skills and recipes that we would use again! The food tasted INCREDIBLE! We had plenty of time to eat and drink and hangout. It was just a really amazing time! We loved it!
Lastly, there were two people with celiac in the group (gluten free) and we felt very safe and the accommodations were little things that allowed for us to still have all the food (ie no breadcrumbs in the meatballs for the two of us and gluten free pasta in separate water). We would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this...
We really enjoyed this experience, getting to see and taste aspects of Palermo that were truly historic and well planned out.
Luca was the perfect guide and really enjoyed his knowledge and born and raised perspectives and street connections. Be ready for the heat bring water, hats and good walking shoes.

it was all about food
There was us and our fabulous guide Allegra. VIsit the market tried new food and did a little shopping while we were there. Catania market is amazing. Never see anything like this before with swordfish looking like ham. Tried the lemon szeltzer which I had again on another visit. A lot of fun and we were just 3 which made it more intimate. Very nice time

Come hungry!
Come hungry! Amazing experience preparing 4 different dishes! Amazing value with plenty of wine and food we were able to take home more pasta to enjoy the next day for lunch. We made 7+ different kinds of pasta! Chef Mamma and Vittorio were very supportive.

Gerry was Exceptional
A wonderful experience, we enjoyed learning all about the food culture of Taormina with Gerry, he was very rehearsed, very welcoming and had many connections with the local restaurants . The best part was getting to meet others and tasting foods we didn't even know existed!

Book this tour or don’t come to Palermo
We had the mayor of Palermo as our guide. Sorry I mean Barbara. All I can say is wow. Barbara not only knows every vendor and all of the hidden gems of the city but knows the history of the neighborhoods. It wasn’t the boring tour you see other folks on, she makes it fun and you could honestly spend the whole day with her walking around and meeting her friends. If you going to do a tour in Palermo, this is the one.

Do not hesitate, so worth it!
This was by far a highlight of my Mediterranean vacation. Giovanni and his wife were so welcoming and shared lovely memories, recipes, food and wine. I truly felt welcomed and I cherish the memories I created with them! The food was incredible! I have had many tours cancel on me as a solo traveler, but they did not. It was a beautiful way to gain insight into Palermo.

Very fun, better than expected
I did this with my 16 year old daughter and we truly had fun. It was the perfect combo of teaching/ learning and good energy and fun. We spent total of 3 hours making pasta and pizza followed by eating our creations. Thanks chefs for an entertaining evening.
