Private Full Day Kyoto Tour From Osaka/Kobe Port with AHMED
Taking a private excursion as a group of 10 friends after arriving at the Port of Osaka/Kobe in the morning felt perfect and convenient. We arrived in the morning aboard a Holland America ship and needed to be back at the terminal by 7:00 PM. I booked the tour for our group of 10, and our guide, AHMED, was quick to respond; he answered all of our questions via email leading up to the trip. He arranged a private minibus for us (the cost for this is separate and paid in cash on-site). He is incredibly knowledgeable about the region and the iconic sites we visited: - Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine Known as Kyoto's most iconic shrine. - Kinkakuji Temple Kyoto's iconic Golden Pavilion. - Nishiki Market Shopping District "Kyoto's Kitchen"—a perfect spot to grab lunch. - Gion Kyoto’s renowned geisha district. We were all very impressed by AHMED’s professionalism and his genuine expertise regarding these historic sites. This day in Kyoto—now the hometown of our guide, AHMED—left us with wonderful memories, and we all agreed that we would love to return! THANK YOU SO MUCH, AHMED!

Kobe to Kyoto with a local expert.
Kazuo, a former English teacher, communicated right from the start to make sure we designed a nine hour day with everything we hope to see. He picked us up at the port terminal and Kobe and brought us right back at the end of the day. it was fun being a tourist within and amongst the people by using trains, buses, the subway and taxi to cover the four beautiful cultural spots we chose to see. We can’t thank him enough for his knowledge, great English, always selecting the best photo opportunities and kindness. He helped us navigate the transportation systems like a local and helped us purchase a one-day pass to help with ease and speed. Thank you Kazuo.

A great time, got to...
A great time, got to learn about sake, how it's made, how the barrels are made and a little bit of history around Kobe. We got to taste different kinds of sake and even sake ice cream. It all ended with a beef lunch. Worth the money and the guide was great and really sweet. Can absolutely reccomend!

This is the one you want
Everything about this experience was excellent. Zack contacted me shortly after booking to go over an itinerary. He asked questions and made suggestions for changes to capture the spirit of what we were looking to do, but reduce the crowds. As it turns out, his changes ended up being our favorite part of the day. This is why you choose Zack! A few days before our ship was on port, Zack confirmed again. That morning we connected via WhatsApp. He met us right at the cruise terminal; it was easy. We walked right to his car and began our day. He had a paper itinerary for us, which was exactly what we discussed months earlier. On the drive, we got to know each other better. Zack provided some information and asked what sorts of things we might want to eat, see, or experience not in our plans. Zack parked right at out first spot and we began! He provided details on what we were seeing, and offered to take pictures for us. Our first stop allowed us to choose how long we stayed, saw, or experienced and Zack went along with our whims. It was very busy. We then drove to our next spot, which was Zack's recommendation. It was beautiful and had very few tourists. It was a delight after the crowds of our first spot. We then drove to our last area, which allowed us to walk to several spots we wanted to see. Zack recommended a coffee shop for lunch, which was excellent. As we walked around, he provided interesting information regarding what we were seeing and made suggestions on other places we could go while we were there. We went into some shops and he helped us interact with the clerks. We had a little extra time so he found us another easy thing to enjoy to ensure we maximized our time. I let Zack know early in the day I was collecting Goshuin, and he helped us interact with the staff as each spot operated a bit differently. I got three wonderful Goshuin this day! We arrived back at the Pier after a full day, but with plenty of time. This was the way to experience Kyoto from a cruise ship. We got as much as we could have out of the day despite the time restrictions, and Zack made it a thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable experience. If we're able to come back to the area again, we would seek Zack out again without hesitation.
