Barney is a lovely guy and this was a lovely and enlightening tour on a weekend. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and highlights many historical lovely buildings including murals connected with the troubles. His in-depth local knowledge and research brings to life in a very unique way a side of Belfast that the tourists would not normally encounter. I can thoroughly recommend this tour as an enjoyable and informative experience.

Superb Belfast History Tour

Randy is a fabulous guide; so knowledgeable, thorough, answers all questions patiently, and made us feel ever-so-grateful to have toured with him. He included the development of Belfast, the Troubles - development, destruction of buildings, repeated efforts of repair, sectioning of the city, with resolution and restoration. When passerby's asked for directions he answered them too. We would go with Randy anywhere in Belfast!

Discovering Belfast with Barney was indeed exciting and super interesting. And doing it as a solo visitor made me appreciate it even more. Barney knows a whole lot of intriguing stories about the city, and the way he narrates them makes the difference! We had great talks and shared deep thoughts about the city and its history. Definitely worth doing!
